Positive Impact International, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves at-risk teens as a Safe Place Agency in the North Georgia region and serves children and youth through Artistic Programming at little or no cost utilizing creative and skilled volunteers.
Positive Impact’s vision is to be instrumental in helping homeless youth and pregnant teen moms, who are in unsafe situations or crisis, by providing them with immediate shelter through our Safe Place program whilst aiming to reunite them with their family and provide them with stronger family dynamics by offering mentoring and family therapy within our Positive Impact programs and offering life skills through our Transitional Living Program.
Positive Impact aims to educate over 140,000 children through the national program, Safe Place, this year through our partnership with Gwinnett County Public Schools and other partner nonprofits and government agencies to help, protect, and serve the underserved children and families in our community. HISTORY Positive Impact International, Inc. started as a 501©3 organization in 2013 by providing life impacting social services including performing arts and sport programs to children and families throughout economically challenged communities across Metro Atlanta. Co-founders Tami and Linda Wilder, a mother-daughter team and Gwinnett residents, stepped up to lead the Gwinnett Safe Place program in 2016.

Dennis started his first company in 1994 and hasn't stopped being a small business owner in the last 28 years. He loves being a business owner, it's incredibly rewarding but it's also difficult, and Dennis loves a good challenge.
I spoke to Dennis, on what are the top 10's he would tell his younger self. Some of the top 5 are: 1) You don't have to make ever single decision in your business or be in every meeting
2) Make sure oyu have a destination. You don't get into your car without knowing where you are going.
SAME FOR YOUR BUSINESS. Know where you are driving
3) Stay in your lane. Don't swerve into other lanes, but how do you know when to pivot and changee?
4) You can't do it alone
5) Learn from people who came before you

A few years ago, Tim had no idea about the local hunger issue. As most of us may think, Gwinnett, or our own county, is a prosperous county. When he began to look into it, it was like a curtain was raised. Hunger wasn't just an abstract problem on another continent, but a real crisis that affects our friends and neighbors in Gwinnett.
Once he knew about the ubiquity of food insecurity, He had to do something. It's who he is, and it's what he wants to do. With the help of like-minded individuals, and with onsite training from veterans in the field, he started my own program of food rescue and distribution.
Satisfied was born out of his wish to serve the community that is my home. Fueled by the joy of receiving a meal, and by the human connections we build along the way, he works to nourish Gwinnett.
In Gwinnett County, a staggering 20% of children struggle to secure their next meal. Food insecurity endangers many families, from a variety of cultural, economic, and social backgrounds.
