Español ¡Que dice la gente! Espero se encuentren muy bien. Hoy es viernes de #ThreeShortFriday y en el video de esta semana quiero compartirles varios frames que grabé visitando uno de los viveros que queda cerca de casa. Quise grabar las plantas más llamativas o bonitas que vi para compartirlas con ustedes y que así vivan un poquito de la experiencia. Los viveros de por la zona suelen ser lugares tranquilos y silenciosos, el clima de acá es frío o fresco, así que siempre que tenga una cámara y un suéter a la mano todo estará bien 🌱.

Algo curioso de ir al vivero es que siempre aprendo nombres de plantas, ya que las pocas que conozco, las conozco por su nombre científico que me dijo San Google, pero cada vez que voy al vivero y doy el nombre de una planta, los vendedores responden con el nombre coloquial, así fue como aprendí que a la Sansevieria se le llama "Lengua e Suegra", por ejemplo.
Ir a los viveros es algo que me encanta, porque en cada visita que hago percibo cierta calma que se me contagia, y como siempre he sido una persona muy visual me divierte muchísimo ver en las plantas tanta variedad de formas, texturas y colores, es algo que me atrapa, me relaja y despeja, así que tener una hora de esparcimiento en el vivero es algo que me aporta mucha paz mental.
Mi intención con el video es trasmitirles un poco de esa calma y gozo que experimento cuando estoy en el vivero, mostrarles lo bonitas que son las plantas cuando les pega el sol, los colores vivos y brillantes de algunas de ellas, y la cantidad de formas diferentes que tienen. Ver la belleza en la naturaleza es algo que me permite conectar con la gratitud ante la vida, y espero que una vez hayan visto el video logren conectar con esa misma sensación 💙 ¿Ahora sí entienden porque me encanta tanto ir al vivero?

Today is #ThreeShortFriday and in this week's video, I want to share with you some frames that I recorded visiting one of the nurseries that are close to home. I wanted to record the most striking or beautiful plants I saw to share them with you, so you can live a little bit of the experience. The nurseries in the area are usually calm and quiet places, the weather here is cold or cool, so as long as I have a camera and a sweater handy everything will be fine 🌱.

Something curious about going to the nursery is that I always learn the names of plants, since the few I know, I know them by their scientific name that Saint Google told me, but every time I go to the nursery and I give the name of a plant, the sellers respond with the colloquial name, that's how I learned that Sansevieria is called "Lengua e Suegra".
Going to the nurseries is something that I love because in every visit I make I perceive a certain calmness that is contagious, and since I have always been a very visual person, it amuses me a lot to see the plants so much variety of forms, textures, and colors, it is something that catches me, relaxes me and clears my mind, so having an hour of relaxation in the nursery is something that brings me a lot of peace of mind.
My intention with the video is to transmit a little of that calm and joy that I experience when I am in the nursery, to show you how beautiful the plants are when the sun hits them, the bright and vivid colors of some of them, and the number of different shapes they have. Seeing the beauty in nature is something that allows me to connect with gratitude for life, and I hope that once you have seen the video you will be able to connect with that same feeling 💙 Do you understand now why I like going to the nursery so much?

¡Llegó el viernes de #Threeshortfriday! Y hoy toca hablar sobre procrastinación.
La procrastinación y como evitarla es un tema que a mi me obsesiona y que llevo años investigado, consumo mucha info al respecto ya que intento evitar la procrastinación en la medida de lo posible. pero mientras más investigo más me he dado cuenta que es algo que natural que nos pasa a todos, y que con disciplina y mucho auto-control podemos manejar.
Pero en esta oportunidad no vengo a hablarle sobre cómo evitar la procrastinación, por el contrario, por primera vez les contaré las maneras en la que suelo procrastinar, ya que nuestra amiga Lunaticalien (@lunaticanto) nos invito a compartirlas en la comunidad de #ThreeShorts y aunque no me siento precisamente orgullosa al momento de procastinar, se siente divertido compartirlo como si nada 😅.
Recordemos que procrastinar puede entorpecer mucho el proceso de cumplir nuestras metas, así que si estas procrastinando mucho, te recomiendo revisar los canales que muestro en el video.

Threeshortfriday is here! And today it's time to talk about procrastination.
Procrastination and how to avoid it is a topic that obsesses me and that I have been researching for years, I consume a lot of info about it since I try to avoid procrastination as much as possible, but the more I research the more I have realized that it is something natural that happens to all of us, and that with discipline and a lot of self-control we can manage.
But this time I'm not here to talk about how to avoid procrastination, instead, for the first time I will tell you the ways in which I usually procrastinate, since our friend Lunaticalien (@lunaticanto) invited us to share them in the #ThreeShorts community and although I'm not exactly proud when I procrastinate, it feels fun to share it like it's nothing 😅.
Let's remember that procrastinating can really hinder the process of accomplishing our goals, so if you're procrastinating a lot, I recommend checking out the channels I show in the video.
Without further ado, I'd like to know how you procrastinate? I'll read you! I' m sure they are more entertaining ways than mine 😂.

Because Hive is a place where you can do what you are passionate about, share your talents and knowledge, create a community around it, and as an effect of the effort, quality and CONSISTENCY you have with your content, you will be paid for it, in a period of only 7 days. It's incredible because in conventional jobs even conventional platforms don't offer this.
In my experience, when I generated content for platforms like Instagram, Facebook or Youtube, it was a whole issue because of copyright issues, they would take down my video for using x song of x artist, and I couldn't even share the covers for that reason, it was very frustrating.
On the other hand, Hive has a great advantage over those jobs and platforms, for the reason that it allows you to have a lot of freedom and pay in a short period of time. In Hive everyone decides what they post, when they post, what their schedule is, and after 7 days you're already getting paid. Maybe there are some jobs, but it's very rare. On the other hand, in Hive, if a project supports you by voting for your publications, you can be sure that in 7 days you will have an entry.
Now, if you are watching this and you are already in Hive, I know that you know the benefits of Hive, but even I, who knew them and I was a very active user in 2020, it was difficult for me and I stopped publishing, and I recognize that it was wrong on my part, which is why today that I return I find admirable the constancy that the creators of this platform have, and this motivates me to take the example and return with responsibility.

This time I bring you a post making tequeños, a traditional snack from Venezuela. For this appetiser you need:
- 4 cups of wheat flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 cup edible vegetable oil
- 1 cup panela syrup
- 1 Pound of cheese
- 1 cup of water
En esta oportunidad les traigo un post preparando tequeños, un snack tradicional de Venezuela, hecho principalmente con harina de trigo y queso. Para este aperitivo se necesita:
- 4 tazas de harina de trigo
- 1 taza de azúcar
- 2 cucharaditas de sal
- 1 taza de aceite vegetal comestible
- 1 taza de sirope de papelón
- 1/2 kilo de queso
- 1 taza de agua
Procedure | Procedimiento
- Step 1 - First we stir the wheat flour with the sugar and salt, once the solids are well mixed we can add the oil and the panela syrup, beat until it is homogeneous.
- Paso 1 - Primero batimos la harina de trigo con el azúcar y la sal, una vez esten bien mesclados los sólidos podemos añadir el aceite y el sirope de papelón, batimos hasta que quede homogénea.
- Step 2 - We proceed to add the water little by little and mix it with our hands. Be careful not to overdo it, sometimes you need less than a cup for the mixture, let your senses guide you.
Sprinkle a little flour and start kneading. The dough will be ready when it has a consistency similar to that of a plasticine, the spot is when the dough starts to come off your fingers.
- Paso 2 - Procedemos a añadir el agua poco a poco y mezclarla con nuestras manos. Ten cuidado que no se te pase de agua, aveces necesitas menos de una taza para la mezcla, deja que tus sentidos te guíen.
Le rociamos un poco de harina y empezamos a amasar. La masa estará lista cuando tenga una concistencia similar a la de una plastilina, el punto lo encuentras cuando la masa se empieza a despegar de tus dedos.
- Step 3 - Once the dough is ready, stretch it and cut it into small pieces, flatten them, then chop the cheese into strips and roll it with the dough. Fry them on hot oil or an Airfyer and that's it!
- Paso 3 - Una vez está lista la masa pasamos a estirarla y cortarla en trozos pequeños, los aplanamos, luego picamos el queso en tiras y lo enrollamos con la masa. Freímos en aceite caliente o el Airfryer y ¡listo!

Tequeños are a delicious snack that children especially like, they are ideal to eat for breakfast or to accompany it with popcorn when watching a movie.
You can have them with barbecue, melted cheese, napoli sauce, Tartar sauce or even dip them in melted chocolate, tequeños are very versatile, they are fried so it is not the healthiest food, but very delicious.
Los Tequeños son un munchy delicioso que le gusta sobretodo a los niños, son ideales para comer en el desayuno o acompañarlo con cotufas al ver una peli.
Puedes acompañarlos con barbecue, queso fundido, salsa napoli, Tártara o incluso bañarlos en chocolate derretido, los tequeños son muy versátiles, son fritos así que no es el alimento más saludable, pero si muy delicioso.

English Bad Bunny returned with his album El último Tour del Mundo to show us once again how multifaceted his music can be. This is one of his most experimental projects, where he shows that he doesn't tie himself to any genre and "Maldita Pobreza" is a clear reflection of that.
"Maldita Pobreza" begins with the sound of a guitar that accompanies the first lines of the theme, but that doesn't finish orienting us toward where the song goes, it is a kind of intro to create atmosphere while Benito tells us "I want to buy a Ferrari to my girlfriend, but I can't" launching the premise of the theme to be treated.
Español Bad Bunny volvió con su álbum El último Tour del Mundo para demostrarnos una vez más lo multifacética que puede ser su música. Este es uno de sus proyectos más experimentales, donde muestra que no se ata a ningún género y "Maldita Pobreza" es un claro reflejo de ello.
"Maldita Pobreza" inicia con el sonido de una guitarra que acompaña las primeras líneas del tema, pero que no nos termina de orientar hacia dónde va la canción, es una especie de intro para crear atmósfera mientras Benito nos dice “yo quiero comprarle un Ferrari a mi novia, pero no puedo” lanzando la premisa del tema a tratar.
Una vez transcurridos los primeros 40 segundos llega lo inesperado: Un coro muy a lo rock en español, con la típica batería que suena “tu pa, tu tu pa” y unas guitarras que van a contratiempo, al estilo reggae.
Este cambio es inesperado, pero a la vez, no es extraño que Benito haga este tipo de mezclas con el rock, ya que desde su álbum x100pre viene asomando que este género le gusta tanto como para querer hacerlo (así sea un poco), llegando a sacar en el 2018 el tema “Tenemos que hablar” un pop-punk de principio a fin.
Once the first 40 seconds have passed, the unexpected arrives: A very Latin-American rock chorus with the typical drums that sound "tu pa, tu tu pa" and some guitars that go offbeat, as reggae style.
This change is unexpected, but at the same time, it's not strange that Benito makes this kind of mixes with rock, since his album x100pre has been showing that he likes this genre so much that he wants to do it (even if it's a little bit). In 2018 he will release "Tenemos que hablar" a pop-punk song from the beginning to the end.
But "Maldita Pobreza" has its own particularity, unlike "Tenemos que hablar" it's not a static theme in one genre, it has a second surprising change: The fall to the trap; resulting in a song that mixes Latin-American rock with trap. Is it weird? Yes. Does that make it bad? No, at least not for me.
In my opinion, Benito rediscovers himself on every album, and although trap and reggaeton are his strengths, I like that he takes the risk of trying new things and mixing different genres, I think that if he keeps trying he could manage to fuse rock and trap better and better.
Pero "Maldita Pobreza" tiene su particularidad, y es que a diferencia de "Tenemos que hablar" no es un tema estático en un solo género, tiene un segundo cambio sorpresivo: La caída al trap; dando como resultado un tema que mezcla el rock en español con el trap. ¿Es raro? Si ¿Eso lo hace malo? No, al menos no para mí.
En mi opinión, Benito se redescubre en cada álbum, y aunque hacer trap y reggaetón sea su fuerte me agrada que se arriesgue a probar cosas nuevas y mezclar diversos géneros, creo que si sigue intentándolo podría llegar a fusionar el rock y el trap cada vez mejor.
En cuanto a la letra, es una especie de canción romántica que narra la historia de un joven que quiere cortejar a su novia de muchas formas, con lujos, ropa, y viajes, pero no tiene el dinero para poder hacerlo, por lo que en el coro versa “Maldita pobreza, solo se me olvida cuando tú me besas”
A este personaje se le nota frustrado a lo largo del tema, deseando muchas cosas para su novia, pero sin saber muy bien que hacer para obtenerlas. Cuenta que estudió por años pero que busca trabajo y no consigue, y al final, termina soñando que asalta a alguien, vuela el capitolio, y lo matan, “pero mi novia llegó en un Ferrari al velorio”, terminando con esta frase acompañada por el sonido de disparos, dando un cierre teatral al track.
As for the lyrics, it's a kind of romantic song that tells the story of a young man who wants to court his girlfriend in many ways, with luxury, clothes, and travel, but doesn't have the money to do it, so the chorus says "Damn poverty, I only forget when you kiss me".
This character is frustrated throughout the song, wanting many things for his girlfriend but not knowing very well what to do to get them. He tells that he studied for years but that he looks for a job and doesn't get it, and in the end, he ends up dreaming that he assaults someone, blows up the capitol, and is killed, "but my girlfriend arrived at the funeral in a Ferrari", ending with this phrase accompanied by the sound of shots, giving a theatrical closure to the track.
"Maldita Pobreza" es un tema con riesgos, atrevido en cuanto a propuesta. Me parece que como fusión aún no tiene el resultado más óptimo al 100%, pero si me gusta, no es una mala canción, pero dudo que sea algo que los fanáticos de Bad Bunny amen escuchar en loop, algo que sí ocurrió con otros temas como "Callaita", por ejemplo, que a cada rato la repetían en la radio, en las fiestas, en todas partes.
"Maldita Pobreza" is a risky song, audacious in terms of the proposal. Cuando salió "Maldita Pobreza", quise hacer una video-reacción simplemente porque el nombre me llamó la atención, pero la verdad es que quedé sorprendida y feliz de haberla elegido para grabar un video escuchándola por primera vez.

When "Maldita Pobreza" came out, I wanted to make a video-reaction simply because the name caught my attention, but the truth is that I was surprised and happy to have chosen it to record a video listening to it for the first time.
I had a lot of fun recording and generating ideas for the editing of this video and before saying goodbye, I want to thank @leo-audio for materializing my crazy ideas with his cool editing. I hope you like the result, I liked it a lot.

English What do people say! If you follow my blog, you must know that I am a fan of The Marías, an indie-pop band eradicated in Los Angeles.
This time they released their song Bop it up which, in my opinion, brings a new sound to the band, with a slightly more aggressive beat that takes them away from the alternative indie they are used to doing, which makes sense given the meaning of this song.
In the words of Maria, the singer:
Bop it up! is a feeling. It’s a feeling of “fuck it.” While we were recording, it just came out of me as I was going through the process of questioning my decisions, my life, my world. Bop it up! is me trying not to care and to just overcome my insecurities.

En esta oportunidad estrenaron su tema Bop it up el cual, a mi parecer, trae un nuevo sonido a la banda, con un beat un poco más agresivo que los aleja del indie alternativo que acostumbran hacer, lo cual tiene sentido dado el significado de esta canción.
En palabras de María, la cantante:
Bop it up! es un sentimiento. Es un sentimiento de "que se joda". Mientras estábamos grabando, salió de mí mientras pasaba por el proceso de cuestionar mis decisiones, mi vida, mi mundo. Bop it up! soy yo tratando de no preocuparme y simplemente superar mis inseguridades.
Bop it up! is a song that's a bit repetitive, which redound to the chorus, which makes me think that it's a catchy song made for a massive audience, the mainstream. A more catchy, repetitive song, with a good sound and easy to remember; without jazz influences or unconventional experimentation.
Usually, the songs of The Marias are made up of voice, guitars, bass, keyboard, trumpet and drums, but in this song they used a different instrumentation from the one the band is used to. For Bop it up they didn't use guitars or trumpet, instead they build the song with synthesizers, voice and percussion.
The sound is quite immersive making great use of reverb, the tempo is slow, the drums don't have an acoustic sound but rather an electronic one and the production is quite pop.
It doesn't have instrumental solos, it's a track that focuses more on production, on putting the right effects to create this atmospheric vibe. It's more a theme to put in background or in a house remix.
Bop it up! es una canción un poco repetitiva, que redunda mucho en el coro, lo cual me hace pensar que es una canción catchy hecha para el público masivo, el mainstream. Un tema más pegajoso, repetitivo, con buen sonido y fácil de recordar; sin influencias jazz ni mucha experimentación fuera de lo convencional.
Por lo general, los temas de The Marias están conformados por voz, guitarras, bajo, teclado, trompeta y batería, pero en este tema utilizaron una instrumentación diferente a la que acostumbra la banda. Para Bop it up! no usaron guitarras ni trompeta, en su lugar construyen la canción con sintetizadores, voz y percusión.
El sonido es bastante envolvente haciendo gran uso del reverb, el tempo es lento, la batería no tiene un sonido acústico sino más bien electrónico y la producción es bastante pop.
No tiene solos instrumentales, es un tema que se centra más en la producción, en colocar los efectos adecuados para crear este ambiente atmosférico. Es más bien un tema para colocar de fondo o en un remix de house.
Personalmente, no es mi estilo preferido, no es una mala canción, pero no es el estilo de The Marias que a mí más me gusta. De igual forma apoyo que experimenten con su música, está bien que se arriesguen y apuesten por crear un sonido diferente al que desarrollaron en sus EP, Superclean Vol 1 y 2, los cuales recomiendo infinitamente.
Personally, it's not my favorite style, it's not a bad song, but it's not the style of The Marias that I like the most. I also support them to experiment with their music, it's good that they take risks and bet on creating a different sound than the one they developed in their EP, Superclean Vol 1 and 2, which I recommend infinitely.

English The Marías won my heart back with the song Care for you. This band, originally from Los Angeles, is one of the independent bands that I like the most because with their music they transport me through decades, languages and cultures.

En el 2020 han regresado para deleitarnos una vez más con su característico sonido vintage, lounge y sensual. Esta vez con la canción Care for you, un tema cuya sección rítmica suena a bossa nova, mientras que los sintetizadores y voces no se alejan demasiado del indie-pop, produciendo así una combinación de elementos retro con elementos modernos en la producción, los sintetizadores y la técnica vocal de María.

English Greetings to all! In this opportunity, I bring you a cover of the song This is Halloween, although recently passed the holiday, I think this song fits perfectly with the requirements of the contest @maratonmusical:
- Being a song whose pattern is mostly made with toms allows me to have flexibility in the execution, so I can make my own version of the song and not play it exactly the way it is written.
- Being a song that talks about Halloween allow me to be creative, not only in my execution but also with the decoration and makeup, to bring you a thematic cover.
- It is a song with a complex form. Although at first sight, it seems to be repetitive, in reality, the form is not composed in the cycle of 8 bars that are usually used in rock. It has some bars at 3/4 and 2/4, so in some sections, it gives the sensation of being incomplete the turn, something that is a little difficult when playing it from memory without a guide sheet. (I had a guide sheet to practice but, at the moment of recording, I did it from memory to give a better performance) Here I leave the transcription:
Español ¡Un saludo a todos! En esta oportunidad, les traigo un cover de la canción This is Halloween, pues aunque hace poco pasó la festividad, me parece que esta canción encaja perfecto con los requerimientos del concurso @maratonmusical:
- Al ser un tema cuyo patrón está hecho mayormente con los toms esto me permite tener flexibilidad en la ejecución, así puedo hacer mi propia versión del tema y no tocarlo al pie de la letra.
- Por ser una canción que habla sobre Halloween me permite ser creativa, no solo en mi ejecución sino también con la decoración y el maquillaje, para traerles un cover temático.
- Es un tema con una forma compleja. Aunque a simple vista parece ser repetitivo, en realidad, la forma no está compuesta en el ciclo de 8 compases que se suele utilizar en el rock. Tiene algunos compases a 3/4 y 2/4, por lo que, en algunas secciones, da la sensación de estar incompleta la vuelta, algo que es un poco difícil al tocarlo de memoria sin hoja guía. (Tenía una hoja guía para practicar, pero al momento de grabar, lo hice de memoria para dar un mejor performance) Aquí les dejo la transcripción:

And to top it all off: in the last section of the song, I played "left-handed" despite being right-handed, to add more difficulty to the performance.
Y como ñapa: la última sección de la canción la toqué "a lo zurdo" a pesar de ser diestra, para añadirle más dificultad a la ejecución.
About the song: This is Halloween is an original composition by Danny Elfman and is part of the soundtrack of the film Nightmare before Christmas by Tim Burton, but as it is a drum cover, I preferred to base it on the rock version made by Marilyn Manson.
Sobre la canción: This is Halloween es una composición original de Danny Elfman y forma parte del soundtrack de la película Pesadilla antes de navidad de Tim Burton, pero al tratarse de un cover de batería, preferí basarme en la versión rock hecha por Marilyn Manson.
Sobre la experiencia de hacer el cover: La verdad es que le puse cariño a este cover. El maquillaje me tomó dos horas hacerlo y la iluminación fue toda una maniobra, gracias a mi bella madre por su ayuda al encender la lámpara en el momento exacto para agregarle dramatismo a ciertas partes de la canción. Creo que es un extra que le aporta mucho ambiente al cover. Espero les guste, están invitados a decirme en los comentarios qué les pareció.

About the experience of doing the cover: The truth is that I put a lot of love into this cover. The makeup took me two hours to do, and the lighting was a real maneuver, thanks to my beautiful mother for her help in lighting the lamp at the right moment to add drama to certain parts of the song. English The English band Bring Me The Horizon revives Nu-Metal with their new song Teardrops. A song that reminded me of Linkin Park the first time I heard it.
This song is wrapped by electronic sounds, has an excellent weight, an epic chorus, and an excellent vocal performance by Oliver Sykes, where it varies very skillfully between clean singing and screams.
The song prepares you little by little for the final drop, the intensity goes up and down again and again, until we reach a very climatic bridge that gives us the entrance to the final breakdown, the most expected during the whole song. At the level of structure, it is excellent as they make us wait for that moment.

Esta canción esta envuelta por sonidos electrónicos, tiene un excelente peso, un coro épico, y un excelente performance vocal por parte de Oliver Sykes, donde varia muy hábilmente entre el canto limpio y los screams.
El tema te va preparando poco a poco para el drop final, la intensidad sube y baja una y otra vez, hasta que llegamos a un puente muy climático que nos da la entrada al breakdown final, lo más esperado durante todo el tema. A nivel de estructura, es excelente como nos hacen esperar por ese momento.
Es interesante la fusión de elementos de distintas épocas de su carrera y es notable la referencia a Linkin park, una de las bandas favoritas del cantante Oliver Sykes, con quienes tuvo el placer de tocar en el concierto Linkin Park & Friends Celebrate Life, concierto realizado en el 2017 en honor a Chester Bennington.

Hace unos días hice este maquillaje de terror, que se supone es de vampira, para grabar un video de Hivesicians el cual quedó increíble y lo pueden ver acá (de verdad creo que es el video más épico que hemos hecho hasta ahora, ¡vayan a verlo! 🙀) y la verdad es que como nunca me había hecho un maquillaje temático, y de por sí sé muy poco de maquillaje, no me esperaba que quedara tan bien, así que no grabé ni tomé fotos del proceso (que idiota, lo sé 🤦🏻♀️). Resulta que quedó muy bien, por lo que terminé grabando un video “metida en el papel” mostrando el maquillaje. Este video lo grabé y coloricé yo, pero no seria lo mismo sin la magia de @leo-audio con todo ese ambiente musical y efectos de sonido que crean la atmósfera de Halloween ¡Aplausos para Leo! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Well, usually I don't do content about my life, it's not my thing, I always try to leave reviews, advice, or covers, but this time I decided to bring something anecdotal. A few days ago I did this horror makeup, which is supposed to be a vampire, to record a video of Hivesicians which was incredible and you can see it here (I really think it's the most epic video we've done so far, go watch it! 🙀) and the truth is that since I had never done a thematic makeup before, and I know very little about makeup, I didn't expect it to look so good, so I didn't record or take pictures of the process (what an idiot, I know 🤦🏻♀️). Instead, it looks great, so I ended up shooting a video "into the role" showing the makeup. I shot and colored this video myself, but it wouldn't be the same without the magic of @leo-audio with all that music and sound effects that create the atmosphere of Halloween. Applause for Leo! 👏🏻👏

Ahora, hablando de Halloween 🎃… ¿Tú como celebras este día? ¿Antes de la pandemia ibas a fiestas de Halloween? ¿Haz hecho el dulce o truco? Y más importante aún, en este año 2020 tan particular ¿Cómo lo celebras? 🤔
Por mi parte, de pequeña salí a pedir dulces unas dos veces en los conjuntos residenciales de mis amigas, y luego me acostumbré a ir con amigos a fiestas de disfraces, fuesen en casas o en bares. Este año planeaba quedarme en casa viendo películas de terror, la idea era no saber nada de nadie este día y simplemente tomarme la festividad para descansar todo el día, acostada en la cama lanzándome una maratón, pero, las cosas cambiaron.
El miercoles por la tarde entro a Twitter y me consigo con una ganga suprema épica de la vida: El Platzi Day.

Platzi es una plataforma de educación online a la cual sigo desde hace dos años, consumo mucho sus videos en Youtube ya que abarcan tópicos muy variados, desde producción de contenido para internet, hasta criptomonedas y tecnología. Siempre siento que me dejan con conocimientos nuevos al ver sus videos y cuando vi que en el Platzi Day TODOS los cursos estarían gratis por 48 horas no me lo quería perder 💪🏻
Así que decidí posponer todo lo que tenía planeado y pasar mi fin de semana de Halloween viendo cursos como loca. Ya llevo tres cursos aprobados en menos de 48 horas y espero terminar el cuarto. No tuve un fin de semana de descanso como había planeado, pero sí que me ha parecido útil el tiempo invertido 😉 Al final si me lancé una maratón, solo que no era el que yo esperaba 🤣 Pero bueno, ya habrá tiempo para ver The Haunting of Bly Manor en otra ocasión 😅

Platzi is an online education platform that I have been following for two years. I consume a lot of their videos on Youtube because they cover very varied topics, from content production for Internet, to cryptocurrencies and technology. I always feel that I am left with new knowledge when I watch their videos and when I saw that at Platzi Day ALL the courses would be free for 48 hours I didn't want to miss it 💪🏻.

I didn't have a weekend off as I had planned, but I did find the time spent useful 😉 In the end I did get a marathon, only it wasn't the one I expected 🤣 But well, there will be time to watch The Haunting of Bly Manor another time 😅

¡Un saludo a todos! Hace unas semanas se empezó a gestar en la comunidad de Hivesicians una nueva iniciativa llamada LET’S ARGUE, una iniciativa que propuse y desarrollé porque quería abrir un espacio de opinión e investigación sobre temas asociados a la música, donde pueden participar no solo músicos sino toda persona interesada en los temas que se propongan, así que ¡tú también puede formar parte de LET’S ARGUE! Greetings to all! A few weeks ago, a new initiative called LET'S ARGUE began to take shape in the Hivesicians community. I proposed and developed this initiative because I wanted to open up a space for opinion and research on music topics, where not only musicians but anyone interested in the topics proposed can participate, so you can be part of LET'S ARGUE too! Semana 1 - Week 1 Ganadores - Winners
Me parecía absurdo no participar en mi propia iniciativa, por lo que he decidido subir este video en donde narro mi perspectiva sobre el primer tema, que es: ¿La tecnología ha cambiado a la música para bien o para mal? Un tema amplio, donde decidí tomar en cuenta el impacto que ha tenido la tecnología en la educación musical, accesibilidad, grabación y post-producción, distribución y composición de la música.
Por ser moderadora de esta iniciativa mis entradas para el concurso no cuentan como participación para optar al premio, pero de igual forma estaré compartiendo con ustedes mi opinión sobre los diversos temas para así apoyar la iniciativa, ya que la finalidad de LET’S ARGUE es motivar la investigación e interacción para compartir puntos de vista.
Quiero disculparme por subir esto semanas después, pero con la cantidad de trabajo que hemos tenido en el equipo fue dificil editar el video en medio de tantas responsabilidades (y de paso es largo 😅). Espero comprendan y lo disfruten igual, fue hecho con mucho cariño y esfuerzo.

I thought it was absurd not to participate in my own initiative, so I have decided to upload this video where I narrate my perspective on the first topic, which is: Has technology changed music for good or bad? A wide topic, where I decided to take into consideration the impact that technology has had on music education, accessibility, recording and post-production, distribution, and composition of music.
As I am the moderator of this initiative, my entries for the competition do not count as participation for the prize, but I will be sharing with you my opinion on the different topics in order to support the initiative, as the purpose of LET'S ARGUE is to motivate research and interaction to share points of view.
I want to apologize for uploading this weeks later, but with the amount of work we had on the team, it was difficult to edit the video in the middle of so many responsibilities (and it's long by the way 😅). I hope you understand and enjoy it anyway, it was done with a lot of love and effort.

¡Un saludo a todos! Esta es mi primera entrada para el Hive Open Mic y como el tema de esta semana es “la muerte” decidí hacer un cover de la canción So Far Away de Avenged Sevenfold, ya que esta canción fue compuesta tras la muerte del baterista original de la banda Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan. So Far Away es un tributo para él y por eso la letra tiene una narrativa en torno a la muerte y el cómo quedamos los vivos lidiando con la perdida de nuestros seres queridos.
Para mí es muy significativo tocar esta canción, ya que se trata presisamente de una canción inspirada por un evento como ese, además que es directamente sobre el baterista de la banda, por lo que hacerle un cover en batería me pareció lo ideal.
So Far Away es una canción muy linda, de esas que llegan al corazón y sin duda una de mis favoritas de la banda.
Greetings to all! This is my first entry for the Hive Open Mic and since the theme of this week is "death" I decided to make a cover of the song So Far Away by Avenged Sevenfold, since this song was composed after the death of the original drummer of the band Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan. So Far Away is a tribute to him and that's why the lyrics have a narrative around death and how we, the living, deal with the loss of our loved ones.
For me it's very significant to play this song, since it's a song inspired by an event like that, and it's directly about the drummer of the band, so a drum cover seemed ideal.
So Far Away is a beautiful song, one of those that touch the heart and without a doubt one of my favorites of the band.
