Spoken Podcast.: Recent Episodes

Gareth Philpott

A few years ago I was in charge of 4 failing companies, after pumping all of my savings into these businesses. Fast forward a few years, I am 32 years old and the CEO and Co Owner of 3 rapidly growing Education Centres. They are called The Barber Academy, The Hair Academy and Propel Education. My life is a rollercoaster and very unpredictable. This podcast is very simple, I want to give you a look behind the scenes, being an entrepreneur, how its not all sunshine and lollipops, and also the amazing people that I meet daily doing what I do. None of these podcasts are scripted, It's just a good catch up with our guests on a weekly basis. This is Spoken, I am Gareth Philpott. "The Jimmy Rod’s Barbershops aren’t just places to get a cut and shave, they are a modern-day oasis of authentic masculinity, camaraderie and style. Back in 2003, Jimmy Rod started the first shop in his chain of barbershops where men could come in to get a slick haircut and sharp sides. But he also wanted to create a place where men could relax, socialise, exchange jokes and chill out. Bringing expert skills and traditional barbershop values back to the forefront, Jimmy Rod has provided a service that men didn’t even realise they had been missing."
