Aria

Hey hey! Aria is here.. I am an eating disorders life coach.I’ve been struggling with anorexia for more than a decade. In this podcast, I will share my recovery journey and the tools that I’ve learned along the way. These tools will help you to demystify the root cause of your ed. I personally believe that the root cause of anorexia is the disconnection from your inner feminine. The transformation you experience throughout the recovery process is about evolving from a young girl into a woman. Reclaiming your feminine wisdom and power allows you to transform and become the woman that you are supposed to be - wild free confident healthy and thriving goddess. In this podcast, we will rediscover our wild feminine nature through learning about goddesses, archetypes, fairytales and myths. We will uncover those hidden traumas that disconnected us from our femininity and led to an eating disorder. We will dive deeper into the real problems, and childhood traumas that lead to anorexia. If you feel like you are stuck in your recovery If you feel like you can’t stop the obsession with your weight if you feel like you can’t let go of control and accept your body for its natural shape - this podcast is for you. I know that full recovery is possible. I know how much potential there is in each person who struggles with an eating disorder.I believe that the more we spread awareness about eating disorders - the more we understand the root of the problem - the more healing occurs for us I know that when even virtually we hold our hands - we support each other. Remember - you don’t have to combat your eating disorder by yourself. You are supported. You are guided. You got it. So let’s start the recovery journey together.

Today's episode is a personal one. I'm Aria, and I'll be talking about the tough topic of shame and eating disorders. My own journey has taught me a lot about the loneliness and judgment that comes with these struggles. Sharing my experiences and hearing from others has been a big part of my healing process.

We're diving into why eating disorders are not just about food but are serious mental health challenges. It's important to talk about them without feeling ashamed. I want to share stories from people who've been there and experts who've helped along the way, making sure everyone knows they're not fighting this alone.

The aim here is to build a space where anyone can find support and understanding, where it's okay to talk about what you're going through. It's all about recognizing our value beyond our struggles and celebrating every step towards recovery.

So, let's open up the conversation about eating disorders, shed the shame, and grow a community where encouragement and hope flourish. #NoShame #EatingDisorderAwareness #TogetherInRecovery #HealingJourney #Solidarity

What is a fat attack?
What is really going on underneath the desire to be thin, skinny, and perfect?
What is it that we can't tolerate abt that our perfect body becomes the only thing we could appreciate ourselves for?

Fat attacks usually serve to distract our attention from something else - something much more important that is going on within. Something intolerable underneath. Something we can't change. When we can't resolve the issues that cause tension, or dissatisfaction - we immediately shift our attention to our bodies. At least - now we know how to dissolve the tension inside - we just need to shed a few pounds. Then we will feel better about ourselves. That's the route, the path we have always taken. However - the real issues get unresolved.
That's why I think that the key is to unwrap what is so intolerable and unacceptable in your life beyond your body's hatred.

The root cause of any eating disorder is the addiction to control.

Why we are so fearful to let go of control?
What does hold us back in a cycle of restricting, starving, counting calories, and controlling our weight?

We are addicted not so much to food. We use food and our unhealthy relationships with food and our body as a tool to cope with the overwhelming fear that lives within. This fear of life causes the compulsion to control. Which never gets satisfied in real life- we can't control the circumstances, other's people behaviour, and emotions.

In order to compensate for the inability to control things in our life - we use our eating disorders to compensate for the inability to control life situations. We need control as something that gives us a false sense of security and stability.

Listen to the episode. We will dive deeper into the topic and unwrap the solution that will help you to cope with an eating disorder.

When we live in a perfectionistic mindset we often forget to praise ourselves for how far we have come.
How many new things we have learned along the way?

So instead of trying to compare ourselves to our future selves - what if we compare ourselves to where we've been yesterday? A month ago. A year ago.

Even if it's a small thing - do we really allow ourselves to recognize and praise our achievements?

Hey everyone,
Aria is here!

One of the biggest issues when it comes to eating disorders is feeling powerless.
Feeling powerless and out of control. Repressed anger is one of the biggest issues I've been struggling with in recovery. We are afraid of expressing anger so much that we decide to stuff it down with food or numb it with starvation.
Why does that happen?
Where do the rage and anger come from?
How it's tied to feeling powerless?
How to overcome the issues above?

Hey everyone!

In this episode, we are going to talk about the importance of having the strong inner mother archetype.

So a person with anorexia or any other eating disorder usually sees the world as an unsafe place. As if she has to be always on guard in order to protect herself.

It’s usually formed because our mothers were emotionally neglectful and emotionally distant. Very often a person with anorexia feels abandoned, and as if she doesn’t matter to her family.

In this episode, we are going to tie the connection between learning how to reparent yourself (how to become a loving, compassionate caring mother for ourselves).
Where do you start?
What does it take?
Why it's so critically important in your recovery - to have a strong inner mother.

The book I am using in the episode
Eating in the light of the moon by Anita Johnston - is one of the most profound books in my recovery.
