Some of Star Wars’ very best characters embody various core principles of drag— whether it’s Din Djarin’s drag as personal expression and self-discovery, Asajj Ventress’ drag as Queer Rebellion, or Padmé Amidala’s drag as self-empowerment. Live-action Star Wars is back!! We finally got watch the first quarter of 'Andor' on Wednesday and if these early episodes are any indication, we are in for a real treat.

'Andor' is taking Star Wars storytelling in new and exciting directions, while holding onto its core principles and values. This week on Boga's Cantina, we reflect on Star Wars Celebration 2022! This was my second time attending Celebration and I thought it was worthwhile to go over the major panels, announcements, and other happenings that made this year's Celebration such an awesome event. Maybe you were there yourself and want an excuse to look back on that amazing weekend? Maybe you've considered going to Celebration in the past and want to hear what it's like? The Amidala Initiative - This community-operated, nonprofit campaign seeks to use our platform to raise funds for Equality Texas, the largest nonpartisan statewide political advocacy organization working to eliminate discrimination targeting the LGBTQ+ community in the state of Texas. It is our goal to show that our community can follow in the footsteps of a character like Padmé Amidala, who tirelessly used her voice to speak up to protect disenfranchised and endangered people within a flawed political system.
What Choice? - "What Choice?" is a campaign to protect choice and bodily autonomy. We are raising money for the National Abortion Federation (NAF). They not only help clinics against increasing attacks and violence, they also offer a multi lingual hotline for support as well as funds for procedures and travel. Please join us to help protect CHOICE. The time to fight is now!

Think about this episode less as a 'review' and more as an opportunity to point our some of our favorite moments from each episode. In this inaugural episode of Boga's Cantina, Cantina Manager & Host, Sean Roome, explains how he fell so in love with Star Wars that he decided to start a podcast about it! From his first Star Wars experience as a child to a fully fledged, 27 year-old Star Wars addict, Sean recounts his love for the galaxy far far away and talks about what he hopes to get out of this brand new podcast.
