After finishing his schooling at two of the top-ranked Physical Therapy programs in the country, Dr. Scott Dickenson, PT, DPT, ATC decided to take the problem of neck pain, and how to get rid of it, into his own hands. As an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, Scott was treating patients with neck pain daily, but there was something missing. The tool his patients needed didn’t exist. A portable, versatile device designed for neck pain relief, neck muscle strengthening, and neck mobility wasn’t available, but he had an idea. An idea that would send him down the path of invention and product development, motivated by the opportunity to better serve the people with neck pain that he treated in the clinic every day.

Currently, she is the Director of Clinical Services for Kandu Health. Her other active roles include serving as the co-chair of the Technology Networking Group of the American Congress of Rehab Medicine and as a member of the Advisory Board for a developing Occupational Therapy Doctoral program at Keck Graduate Institute.
Lauren is also the co-founder of the Rehab Tech Summit, an online conference and community that aims to bring together industry professionals including rehabilitation clinicians, researchers and entrepreneurs to share information and ideas in the rehabilitation technology space.

Matt is a Physical Therapist who, when realizing the limited options of assistive mobility devices, took matters into his own hands (quite literally, with some ply wood and tools in his garage). The result was Nuvio, a company dedicated to advancing functional outcomes through thoughtfully designed assistive mobility devices. Emil Berengut, PT, DPT, MHA, MSW is the Director of Clinical Operations at Kaia Health-a digital health company. He received his Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland and a doctorate in Physical Therapy from NYU, following which he was the first graduate of the orthopedic physical therapy residency program at the Hospital for Special Surgery. He also completed his Master’s in Health Administration at the NYU Wagner School of Public Service. Dr. Berengut is a board-certified physical therapist and an adjunct lecturer at the NYU Program of Physical Therapy. He is a published author, having contributed to two textbooks on cancer rehabilitation and peer-reviewed articles. He has presented at the Combined Sections Meeting of the APTA, at the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine, and the MSKCC Rehabilitation Symposium.
After a little over a decade of helping patients with their stresses and struggles Brad has turned his focus to his peers. He bridges the gap between clinical care and technology to offload equally significant stresses and struggles.
Brad uses a number of different services and platforms to provide solutions to a variety of "old school" processes. He leverages programs like MS Teams, Power Automate, and Power Apps to collaborate, communicate and innovate.

Kaitlyn is an Accessibility Program Manager on the Xbox Gaming Accessibility Team. As an avid gamer and member of the disability community, the intersection between mental health, chronic pain, neurodiversity and gaming has always been of high interest. Kaitlyn’s formal gaming accessibility experience began in 2012 when her father founded Warfighter Engaged – a non-profit organization that creates custom adapted gaming controllers for veterans with disabilities. This early exposure to the power of gaming as a vehicle for social inclusion and healing inspired her early career choice as an occupational therapist. During this time, Kaitlyn enjoyed integrating commercial gaming devices and applications into her treatment sessions with clients in hospitals, schools, and rehabilitation facilities. After joining Team Xbox in 2020, Kaitlyn has leveraged her passion for accessibility and learnings from the healthcare space into creating industry-recognized accessibility resources including major updates to the Xbox Accessibility Guidelines (XAGs) and the Gaming Accessibility Fundamentals Learning Course. In May of 2022, Kaitlyn received her Doctorate from Boston University in occupational therapy with a focus on therapeutic applications for the Xbox Adaptive Controller. She looks forward to seeing what the future of the gaming accessibility industry holds while continuing to support efforts that ensure that everyone who wants to play, can play.
