In Part 3 of 3, Chelsea and Sandy chat about cellular detox.

Sandy Wesson has been a Registered Nurse for 42 years. During these years, she has worked in the

Intensive Care Unit, Cardiac Care, Hemodialysis, Hospice and Palliative Care, as well as other

aspects of healthcare.

10 years ago, Sandy left clinical nursing to move into the realm of Functional Wellness - becoming

certified as a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and as a Certified Functional Bloodwork

Specialist. Sandy’s goal is to put the power of health back in the hands of her clients, rather than

being dependent on doctors. She reads bloodwork from a Functional Perspective – which provides

information about what the body needs. Together with her clients, she looks at the effects of thoughts,

traumas, and toxins on the body, and what can be done.

Sandy is a best-selling contributing author. Her chapter “Heal the Body to Heal the Brain” can be

found in Healing Beyond the Diagnosis, volume 1, by Dr Kylie Burton, DC and Colleagues.

Additionally, Sandy has been an energy healer for more than 20 years, utilizing her gifts of empathy,

clairaudience, and clairsentience to tune into her clients’ vibrations. As an empath, Sandy is finding

that currently, people have a greater need for energy healing to assist in opening their own power to

heal.

I’m Misty Laboy, a Master Makeup Artist, Weight Loss Advisor, and Self-Love Mentor. My journey began as an art student selling Cosmetics to put myself through college and support my family. Along the way, I discovered my passion for helping women transform inside and out. Despite achieving success in my career, I struggled with my weight until I found that diets don’t work, but lifestyle changes do. This realization led me to the top 2% of my company and a mission to help others shed pounds and gain confidence. However, my own journey toward self-love was the most profound transformation of all. In 2020, I hit a low point and embarked on a spiritual self-love journey, healing addiction and finding inner fulfillment. Now, I empower women to discover their worth beyond appearances, as I did. Join me in embracing self-love and manifesting a life that exceeds your wildest dreams!

Jill Moellering started her career as Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner in 2019, captivated by the profound impact diet and lifestyle changes could have on overall health and wellness. She was trained to identify and support imbalances while getting to the root cause of a person’s symptoms.

At the beginning of her career, Jill concentrated on eliminating detox diets, where she witnessed firsthand the profound effects of diet on both physical health and emotional well-being. However, she was also confronted with the challenge of maintaining healthy eating habits post-detox, grappling with emotional and binge eating.

Realizing that restriction fueled cravings, Jill shifted her focus to a holistic approach that is rooted in a simple belief: good health should be a source of joy and empowerment, not a never-ending battle with restrictive diets and guilt-ridden choices. Her aim is to equip individuals with the knowledge, skills, and mindset required to make lasting changes in their health and effortlessly maintain a healthy weight.

Her anti-diet philosophy centers on the idea that it's possible to nourish your body, achieve your wellness goals, and still savor the foods you love.

A big theme of this podcast is energy balance and finding which things in your life give you energy, and what takes energy from you. On this week's podcast, Chelsea chats about the Spoon Theory - an energy management metaphor created by Christine Miserandino that is often used by the chronic illness community to help them manage their energy and help others understand more about their energy levels.

Chelsea and her friend, Cassie, wrote a book about this concept which you can find on Amazon here

Rebekah is a margarita loving, iced-coffee-in-the-winter type of bookworm, hype woman, wife, dog momma, (soon to be real momma), lavender farmer, and a beekeeper. She works in healthcare as a PA in surgery, but it’s the least interesting thing about her. She’s a Capricorn, if you’re into that sort of thing, and firmly straddles an Enneagram 2 and 3. She pretends to love yoga, but would rather lift or ride the Peloton, though she can also be convinced to run a half-marathon. She also likes to hike, sing in the shower, dance in the kitchen, create new things and love on all the important people in her life. She believes life is about being grounded in grace, gratitude, and that trusting your gut leads to far more adventure than overthinking ever did.

Join us as Rebekah shares all about how self-care has changed during each season of life.

In today's episode, Chelsea chats about the concept of taking some time during your week to 'reset' your life so you feel more prepared for the coming days and week.

The three questions to ask yourself to help you determine what your reset process could look like are:

  1. What is a good day(s) for me to take some time to do my reset?
  2. What would help me feel more prepared for the day/week ahead? What contributes to my overwhelm and stress that I can control?
  3. How long is this going to take me so I can schedule it?

If you would like some help coming up with your own reset, reach out to Chelsea on Instagram @TheMindfulSelfCare!
