This is the result of five day sweating and agony. Drawing was fun and childishly easy, as you can see from the amazing result (just call me Insane da Vinci) but the animating part was pure torture and when I finally was happy with the switches, finding the right parameters when exporting the video and reducing the file size for NFT Showroom thumbnail just enough but not too much so that it wouldn't be too blurry and all squares and just artifacts, was like inserting needless in to my brain. That took me at least two days. Or perhaps it was two weeks, who knows. What day is it? Last time I checked my clock it was Spanish flu time which actually should be called American flu, or better yet Kansas flu since it originated there, but hey, who's counting. So what have I missed? Any aliens yet on earth? Have I guessed their body type right on my art video?

Plus my new computer does not want to compute all the time, it all of a sudden forgets or looses the sound card driver on it's own and it's pure hell to be setuping the driver and restarting my computer all the time just to hear are the plop plops and grindings are still in the video.

I said in my previous post that I'd do more animations, soon (I didn't? Well, I thought about it very hard on my own so that should be enough) so finally, here it is, Bodymix!

I have no idea how we all managed to stay sane or insane, which ever is your normal, and live our lives without this video. So it's a good thing that I made this. Now everything makes sense, the word on the tip of your tongue connects with your brain and it is finally pronounceable and all the heavy things on the back of your mind are gone. Just poof, gone. Mana found a toy. A Panasonic Minivision TV. Actually not a toy, but as technology has gone past the Minivision, it is only a toy, although a cool retro toy, but a toy nevertheless.

Mana didn't care. It was all worked up. I have never seen it so exited about anything. It barely looks at my smart phone or the normal sized, modern TV. If it could shrug it's shoulders, it would. But when it found this treasure it was jumping around and making strange hissing noises.

"Yes Mana, I'll get you batteries for that so you can adjust the nobs and play with it."

So there Mana was. Twirling around the Minivision and trying to get something out of it. I didn't have the heart to tell it that there no longer are any analog broadcast here in Finland. Only digital and Minivision isn't built for that.

Mana was so enthusiastic about the Minivision that I decided to try something as it also works as a monitor.

Although I didn't have the right cables for the Minivision, I did get something out of it and Mana got to play Super Mario Bros. 3.

This video was approved (not muted or blocked) in YouTube so I now have the audacity to publish it here too. I'm declining rewards as I want to respect the rights of the artist. (Or the rights of the owner of the songs rights.) The video can't be monetized in YouTube because it has a copyright claim. (Even if it could, I couldn't ,because I don't have enough subscribers.) But anyway, made a video, had an issue about the right to publish it and now it's solved.

It may still be that if asked, the owner of this songs rights would not allow this to be published anywhere else than YouTube, but at least, as I said, I'm declining the rewards. So I'm taking my chances and decided to just do this. Click, click, click, published. Hoping that Threespeak doesn't punish me too harshly if my logic with publishing allowed in YouTube doesn't apply here. Took a risk with copyright. So shoot me.

Here's what I wrote about the issue to YouTube:

Some time ago, not long, but not anymore, there was a really easy and useful way to find out which songs you could use in your YouTube video so that they would not get muted because of the copyrights. A list. You could just search. "This one gets blocked in that country, nowhere or everywhere." Not anymore. You just have to post the song and see what happens.

How did I get the idea? By accident. I posted a gif image of one of my bodyswappers to Twitter and wen't to see if it worked out alright and it did. And also didn't. I have to admit, I was tempted to make a very special video to YouTube of this 5 and 20 second looped animation. (Depends on which movement or sound effect you count the loop from.) Special how? Well, now it's only 40 seconds long. Why not make it five hours? Just for YouTubers! To fill the empty space they have. No more just talking heads but sobbing Rabbits and plopping aphids. But then I thought about it. Again. And more. And although in my opinion it would have been an awesome joke, the amount of subscribers I have (7), or the amount that I don't have, well, let's just say, it would have not been worth the trouble, the rendering time and the computing power.

So there it is, the same 40 second video as is in here. Just in case. And to advertise NFT Showroom in YouTube.

But I still think it would have been a good joke. So one day if I get 10000 subscribers, I will make them a 5 hour video of Rachel sobbing, little dragon flapping and the aphid plopping. Fiiiiiiiive hours. Sob, sob, sob, flap, flap, flap, plop, plop, plop.

But until then, here's something else.

Thank you to @tibfox for arranging this edit contest. I love editing and especially when there are no rules on what to do. You just have video footage and the freedom to do anything within your skills. And tools.

I always loved editing according to music. And that's what I did this time too. Except it's a bit of a three song mashup. Not a proper one but something. Editing and mixing music with Premiere is a pain in the ass. So this is what I settled for.

It's amazing how much there are free to use video footage in the internet and as I think it's neat to mix old with new, that's what I did in this case too. And it's a good thing I finally found a place for my snail and robot videos that I took about two years ago. And the birds & creatures dancing animation... That's an old one too. Reusing is awesome.

I edited this video in about a week. Every time I had some time I added and adjusted something. I could continue doing that but fortunately there's a deadline. Otherwise I would edit this forever. Over and over again. More features and such. The thing is, even though I do think my own jokes are funny, there comes a time when they no longer are. So that is the time to stop editing. Or just few hours before that perhaps.

Now that I'm fed up editing, it's time to publish what I did.

5 and half minutes of stuff put together. Can't wait for the next challenge!
