City Year San José is proud to launch CY Speaks, it’s first podcast to address some of our most pressing issues in education. The podcast will serve as a medium for community members, educators, and advocates to expand conversations about our educational system.

In Episode 1,  City Year San Jose’s Executive Director, Pete Settlemayer, chats with Santa Clara County’s Superintendent of Public Schools Dr. Mary Ann Dewan about  the pandemic's effects on education including the impact on students' learning, what lessons have we learned about the digital divide and distance learning, and how best to support a safe return to the classrooms.
