Also, we will be promoting the world languages week here at SLU. We will mention different activities that the office will be holding and offer ways in which you can engage with different students during this week!
In this episode, we will be exploring the different roles that language plays in social movements focusing primarily on the Feminist Movement in Latin America. Is language a form of advocacy? Can we gain social justice through language? Our hosts and guest speaker Valeria Obregon will help us navigate through their own experiences and explore how language can be used to frame social movements as well as how it can be unifying and mobilizing force.
