We want to hear their story, find out what makes them tick, and get their viewpoint on the sport. One thing that we strive for on Pit Pass USA is bringing the untold story to race fans. That’s why one of our key goals is to talk to those that may not get much media attention but are working just as hard as the stars of the sport to make their dreams come true. The Best of Pit Pass USA 2012 continues this week. We kick it off by re-airing our conversation with this year’s Indianapolis 500 winner Dario Franchitti 24 hours after drinking the milk.
Could Conor Daly be headed to the 500 this year? We talked the young man following his first GP3 win in May.
It was a great year for Ferrari in Grand-Am as they powered Jeff Segal and Emil Assentato to the GT title. We talked with Jeff Segal following the car’s first win at Homestead.

Big news from the sports car world as the Grand-Am Rolex Series and American LeMans Series combine. Speed’s John Dagys broke the story and we’ll talk to him about this monumental move.
The Big Go, the NHRA U.S. Nationals in Indy was the Big Didn’t Go as Mother Nature forces the race into a second weekend. We catchup with ESPN broadcaster Paul Page and discuss that this will be his last season doing NHRA for that network.

Another driver that is coming on is Nelson Piquet, Jr. The former F-1 driver grabbed his first NCWTS victory Saturday at Michigan. Add in a Nationwide victory a couple of weeks back and he’s on a roll. Pit Pass USA chats with him.

History was made last Friday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as the Grand-Am Rolex Series and the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge ran their first ever races at the Brickyard. Being the very first to win an event at Indy is special. On Pit Pass USA, we talk to three gentlemen who did just that. Alex Popow who co-drove the Startworks Motorsports Daytona Prototype to victory will join us as will Andy Lally who was onboard the Mangus Racing winning Porsche in GT.

And finally..it took almost 4 years…but 9-time ARCA champion Frank Kimmel ended his winless streak claiming victory at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indy Friday night and he’ll stop by to talk about his 75th career win.
It’s an historic weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Not only is the Brickyard 400 being run..but the Grand Am Rolex Series is making its first ever appearance there to run on the road course. Pit Pass USA talks with Sun Trust Corvette Daytona Prototype driver Ricky Taylor about the weekend.
While on sports car racing, Extreme Speed Motorsports got it’s first ALMS win last weekend taking the top spot in GT at Mosport in Canada. We catch up with team owner and co-driver of the winning car Scott Sharp.

The Izod IndyCar Series returned to the historic Milwaukee Mile on Sunday and Ryan Hunter-Reay driving for Andretti Autosport was able to hold off the field to gain the win. Ryan checks in with us before heading to Iowa Speedway this weekend.
Busy times for the Starworks Motorsport team. Last weekend, they won the LMP2 class at the 24 Hours of LeMans and this weekend they do battle in GrandAm at Road America in Wisconsin. We catchup with team owner Peter Baron.
Nothing like a little good old fashioned dirt track midget racing. The Indiana USCA Midget Week just concluded with Darren Hagen winning the title and two races along the way. We talk to Hagen.
And it was almost a photo finish for ARCA at Michigan but Chris Buescher added to his win total by an eyelash. We track down Buescher at Chicagoland Speedway testing.
IndyCar had one of their best races ever last weekend at Texas Motor Speedway. Justin Wilson was able to capture his third career win and second for owner Dale Coyne. Justin stops by to talk about the victory.

It was a very hotly contested Grand-Am Rolex Series GT class at Mid Ohio but Bill Auberlen and Paul Dalla Lana were able to bring their BMW home first. Auberlen joins us.

The Izod Indy Car Series returned to Belle Isle in Detroit for the first time in four years and not even a track that was tearing up could slow down Scott Dixon from leading wire-to-wire to get the win. We talk to Dixon about the win and this weekend’s race in Texas.
Detroit also saw the Grand-Am Rolex Series in action. Speaking of action, Action Express and their Chevrolet Corvette Daytona Prototypes finished one-two. Darren Law was co-driver of the winning car and will join us.
NHRA at Englishtown saw two Don Schumacher Funny Cars do battle in the finals with Johnny Gray coming out on top of teammate Ron Capps. Johnny stops by.

Jack Baldwin is back. The 1992 Trans-Am Champion took the top spot in the Pirelli World Challenge GTS class at Long Beach last Sunday. Baldwin will discuss that and more.
After taking Easter off, Nascar is back in action at Texas. Marcos Ambrose is hoping the break brings his Stanley Ford back some good luck. We’ll talk with Marcos.
NHRA is doing 4-wide racing at Charlotte where Top Fuel driver Spencer Massey looks to win two events in a row after taking Vegas. Spencer discusses the unique 4-wide format.
