On this episode we have the pleasure of talking with Cindy Centeno, a producer of the documentary film La Manplesa. The film covers the events that took place on May 5th, 1991, as people took to the streets of Washington D.C.’s Mount Pleasant neighborhood to protest the police shooting of Daniel Gomez, a young man from El Salvador.
Cindy is a social justice-minded filmmaker, photographer, and media producer specializing in documentary + non-profit video storytelling. As a daughter of Salvadoran immigrants and a first-generation American, her work is dedicated to ethically supporting and amplifying the voices + stories of people, communities, and realities that are marginalized + oppressed.

On this Episode we have Lea Landaverde. Lea is a First-Generation, Queer, Latina. She helps Queer, Women of Color heal through their financial traumas and create a pathway to build generational wealth. She is on a mission to break generational curses and increase access between QTBIPOC and wealth. From having open conversations about money stories, money trauma, budgeting, debt and saving for financial goals, Lea is able to help her clients align their wealth and cultivate a beautiful relationship with money.
