This is not only the cycle of the Moon, but the cycle of the Moon-Sun relationship.
The Moon as the mediatrix between the Sun and the earth allows the rhythmic elaboration of life with its changes, as a reflection of the relationship. In ancient times were no months of the year, there was a tracking of the moons on the solar year. They refer to events or activities that took place at precise moments.
