he School District of Menomonee Falls is working with the police department after an alleged racist incident at Riverside Elementary School.A pest control technician was caught on camera allegedly vandalizing several posters of people of color.The district confirmed security video caught the independent contractor defacing and destroying posters of prominent Black Americans and spraying them with pest control material.The district is now working with Menomonee Falls police to determine the next steps, while the pet control company investigates the employee.Riverside Elementary School Principal Scott Walter sent a message to staff Monday, writing, "Unfortunately, there was an incident today at Riverside that makes me extremely upset and disappointed."The letter came after a pest control technician from the company Wil-Kil was in the school for routine work.The letter was obtained by CBS 58 and details several incidents of vandalism in the Riverside halls.On Tuesday, district superintendent Dr. James Heiden confirmed to CBS 58 internal video showed the contractor vandalized Black history posters, tearing them down and spraying them with pest control material.Heiden told us the incident "has been referred to the Menomonee Falls PD," and that no other information could be released.But the letter to staff elaborated, saying the pest control contractor:"Took down some posters in our hallways of people of color""Sometimes sprayed them with pest control material""Took one print out of a frame and destroyed it and put the frame back on the wall""He also took a student piece of work down that was a biography (I am assuming it was of a minority) and destroyed that as well."We called the manager of Wil-Kil's Menomonee Falls office. When asked about the incident, he told us over the phone "Sorry, I don�t know what you�re talking about."Terminix is the parent company of Wil-Kil. A Terminix representative called Tuesday to say they�re looking into the issue.On Wednesday a Terminix spokesperson sent the following statement:�Our company will not tolerate destructive behavior or any discriminatory or racist conduct and have taken the appropriate actions with this employee. The officer discharged his firearm, fatally striking the suspect. The officer, a 43-year-old man with over five years of service with MPD, was placed on administrative duty. The Waukesha Police Department is the lead agency on the incident.

One of the officers was able to catch up to the suspect and a struggle ensued. During the struggle, the suspect used a handgun and fired shots � striking the officer. Deadly Weekend in Milwaukee Pt.3 On the heels of eight shootings in 12 hours Saturday, April 23 into early Sunday morning, two of them fatal, Milwaukee police reported ten shootings between the hours of 10:46 a.m. and 11:49 p.m. Sunday, April 24.
The first happened shortly before 11 a.m. near 47th and Center, where a Milwaukee woman, 25, was shot and showed up at the hospital for treatment. About two hours later, shortly before 1 p.m., officers responded to 27th and Chambers, where a Milwaukee boy, 17, was shot and showed up at the hospital for treatment.
Just before 5 p.m., a Milwaukee man, 25, suffered life-threatening injuries in a shooting near 80th and Bender. According to police, the shots were fired during an argument. Police know who they are looking for in connection with this shooting, but no arrests have been made.Ten minutes after officers responded to 80th and Bender, police were on scene near 60th and Silver Spring. According to police, a Milwaukee boy, 17, was handling a gun when it went off, striking a Milwaukee man, 20. The 17-year-old was arrested.
Just after 6 p.m., a Milwaukee woman, 30, was shot during an argument near 22nd and Chambers and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Around 8 p.m., a Milwaukee man, 24, showed up at the hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds. Police are looking into where he was shot and what led to it.
At approximately 8:30 p.m. a 31-year-old Milwaukee woman sustained non-fatal injuries after being struck by gunfire. She presented herself to a local hospital where she is expected to survive. The Wisconsin claims board has asked the Legislature to award nearly $1 million to a Milwaukee man who spent 24 years in prison for crimes he did not commit. Daryl Dwayne Holloway was 48 when he was released. The claims board issued a unanimous decision Thursday.

At least 10 people were shot and six others injured after a man wearing a gas mask opened fire and threw a smoke canister aboard a moving New York City subway train during rush hour Tuesday morning, authorities said.
