This is a podcast dedicated to the mapping of Indigenous resurgence, reclamations, and relations. The sounds are tied to a website with nodes of the location and land talked about in these podcasts.
Quick update to explain why I unpublished my previous episodes. Please check out “El Caldo” if you are interested in more of my content, but the poetry and conversations of this podcast were too personal for me to keep in a space I didn’t intend to publicize.
This episode focuses on the history of San Luis Potosi and the experience of my grandma, who I refer to as buelita, in the land. This episode tackles questions over identity and culture especially in a country that struggles with anti-Indigeneity in the face of mestizaje rhetoric. A very special thank you to my buelita for taking the time to talk to me and advise me throughout my research, I hope to continue to learn more about her homeland.
