How did we come to define ourselves as women? In addition to the strong females present in our lives, media defined how we view ourselves as women. From careers that were acceptable to our relationship with men or with other women, and how we view our own bodies, we were dramatically influenced by the music, movies, and TV shows we consumed. Are we invisible? Have we not made history? Did we at least get an honorable mention? This one is for the mentioned, and the forgotten! It’s Black History Month! The Black Community has fought to be where we are now. We want to highlight a couple of people that participated in that fight.
