This time on the FYA rotation features our esteemed head of operations, who will be giving her views on FYA's activities and operations. Angela, the adept and unique leader, will offer advice on leading a charity, engaging with the media, and how to interact in workplace relationships.

In the third episode of the Fearless Youth Rotational, Khaled, Jordan, and Ben from the Fearless Youth Association (in partnership with FMB Radio) discuss the definition and challenges of LGBT+ communities. And explain the importance of maintaining a non-toxic environment for ourselves and others through kindness and understanding, to increase the knowledge of young people about staying safe and staying positive.
Today we are highlighting the importance of understanding alternative eating habits. As many young people are turning to Veganism, Vegetarianism, and plant-based diets, sharing relevant information is our main priority to increase their understanding of others' beliefs, challenges, and opinions.
In the first episode of the Fearless Youth Rotational, Khaled, Jordan, and Ben from the Fearless Youth Association (in partnership with FMB Radio) discuss ‘what is a Digital Footprint’, where feelings of community are found online, and the importance of being yourself and having positive emotions when using social media.

We are excited to announce the release of the Sounds of Lockdown podcast, a journey through sound and music created by Parmjit Sagoo, Jaya Gordon-Moore, Craig Hill (Rap name: C.A.S.E), Daud Xiddig and Dom Hubner.
In 2020, musician Jaya Gordon-Moore and creative practitioner Parmjit Sagoo worked with three young musicians – Craig, Daud and Dom – to create a podcast that reflects on their experiences of the past year. They used creative activities, writing, spoken word, music, rap and sampling to create individual and collective audio pieces. Sounds of Lockdown opened up a space to talk about the challenges of life during the Covid-19 pandemic, including mental health impacts, and share personal stories and reflections. The project also provided a creative outlet and led to new collaborations and the podcast amplifies young talent.

Her unique approach weaves together drama, story-making, story-telling, creative movement, conversation, and yoga. Through integrating these practices, Parmjit facilitates safe yet dynamic spaces, enabling exploration, imagination, collaboration, and connection. Parmjit investigates how these creative processes can become pathways to personal and collective transformation and wellbeing, constantly exploring the potential of the arts and yogic practices to heal, empower and build resilience.

Jaya Gordon-Moore
Jaya Gordon-Moore (Stage name: JayaHadADream) is a female independent rapper, singer, and producer from Cambridge now based in Nottingham. After studying her degree in Sociology at the University Of Nottingham, she now works full time as a creative at Fearless Youth Association and on a number of freelancing projects across the community. Jaya strives to incorporate elements of social justice commentary into her music, particularly around Race, Gender, Identity Politics and Wellbeing, maintaining a current yet unique sound.

Welcome to our new series, Community Conversations! Using Zoom, we have been inviting members of Nottingham's diverse and vibrant community to talk and debate different topics and questions. In this episode we discuss whether as an individual spending more money through things like shopping and leisure, can improve mental wellbeing. Although some people agreed with the statement, arguing that from their experience spending money or having the ability to spend money does make them feel better and take their mind off things, others argued that this was merely immediate gratification and mostly temporary. Furthermore they suggested that the meaning of money may need to be changed, and there needs to be more of an emphasis on community, reaching out for help from peers and self love.
