Physiotherapists and exercise experts Helen O'Leary and Reece Noble sit down with leaders in the world of healthcare to discuss Physiotherapy, Pilates & Exercise Medicine and how these areas interact with all areas of healthcare.
In this episode of the Complete Health Podcast, Reece and Heelen sit down with great friend of Complete Physio and Pilates, Jane Baker!
Jane chats to us about how the foot functions during gait (including a case study on Reece’s foot) during which she touches on how the 28 bones and 33 joints of the foot are all interconnected.
Following on from this Jane speaks about the forces the foot has to deal with during running and links that into why hopping needs to be a key part of any return to running rehab plan. Jane also very generously shares the walk/run program she uses to return people to running – an absolute clinical gem in our opinion.
And to finish off this wonderful episode, Jane sets out some handy tips for physios and other health care professionals out there on how to perform a basic assessment of the foot and ankle.
