For members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community, going home for the holidays can be a lot more complicated than trying to decide if one should check a bag or just take a carry on. Spending time with non-affirming family can be harmful in many ways. Pastor Katy Miles-Wallace (they/them) of Technicolor Ministries has a conversation with Pastor Alfi Wyatt (they/them) about how Alfi makes this decision for themselves and what they to do care for themselves before, during, and after. And if going home is not an option at all, Alfi talks us through how to spend the holiday in a meaningful way.

One of the most common complaints against Jesus was that he ate with sinners, outcasts, and women. Throughout all four gospels, Jesus can be found at tables with unexpected people doing unexpected things. All Places Together's summer podcast series: At the Table is going to dig into many of these stories.
The first episode, Called, shares the story of Levi. A tax collector who Jesus calls to be one of his first disciples. Through Levi's story, we can hear Jesus calling us to the table as well, to eat with him and some of our favorite and least favorite folks.

Dr. Laura Hartman, Professor in Environmental Studies at Roanoke College and a leader with Virginia Interfaith Power and Light, gathers with All Places Together to share her biblical and ecological wisdom to tell us how, even today, God can be speaking to us through the natural world--and that the words may well be a dire warning. She reminds us that though the skies may look bleak, resurrection comes after death.
