We are about a month and a half into our home renovation, so I figure it’s time to officially document the progress here on my blog. Since we live in a Nashville historic home, we’re doing our best to keep with the character of the craftsman style and we are truly loving the process!
In this video I rearrange my furniture about 5 times, clean out the closet, organize all my files, create an inspiration bulletin board, and a lot of other stuff. I documented 6 days of the process but in reality, this all happened over the course of 3 weeks.
Gila window film installation is pretty simple! The most tedious part is cutting the film to fit your window… or in my case, windows. I’ve had the Gila window film on our front door (and side door too) for over a year now and what the dog hasn’t ripped has held up great.
It's been over a year since I painted our guest bathroom tile floor (time flies!) and almost 10 months since painting the tile floor in the kitchen... and now, I can add painting the tile floor at my friend's house to the list too!
I think we all have an important message within us that wants to come out... but speaking up isn't always so easy. It can feel raw, vulnerable, and sometimes even scary. Today (and this week) I encourage you to "open up and share your voice with the world, and inspire others to do the same." I promise it will be worth it.
Welcome to my least favorite room in our house… the master bathroom. I decided I wanted to give this room a little love in hopes that it’ll better fit into the aesthetic of what I’ve done with the rest of the house and not look so yellow and ignored.
All you want is to feel like you’re on the right path You know what’s possible But the majority of the time is doesn’t seem that way
So I have to take it back… because this gallery wall reveal is not just about me hanging pictures on the wall, we literally tore the wall down as we were working on raising the ceiling in this room.
Listen to Cheryl B. Engelhardt perform and share the story behind her song Galileo’s Rings.
As you'll see and hear us talk about in the video, it was very hard to install drywall on the ceiling, especially with no prior experience doing so. It's very heavy, and lifting it up to the new 12 ft ceiling height was no joke.
Listen to Katherine Forbes perform and share the story behind her song A New Beginning.
I put together a video all about what sells, what doesn’t, why that is, plus some of my own creative ideas when it comes to creating, marketing, and selling your music and products! I hope it inspires you and helps you make more sales online.
“I first heard of Katherine the way that many people do: Through her ever-growing Facebook community Music Biz Besties. The group (now over 5,000 members strong) is a platform for women in the music industry to connect, get jobs, ask for advice, and yes—network…”
Listen to Jaimee Harris perform and share the stories behind her songs Depressive State and The Fair and Dark Haired Lad.
This video is from is day 1 of tearing down the false ceiling (lowered ceiling, drop ceiling… whatever you want to call it, we can’t decide) to bring our 1935 craftsman style living room back to life!
Listen to Carrie Newcomer perform and share the story behind her song You Can Do Hard Things.
This bonus episode shares a story and song from Katherine’s Life Lessons Learned Through Music album, dedicated to those who lost their lives on April 16, 2007 at Virginia Tech.
Listen to Mary Gauthier perform and share the stories behind her songs Mercy Now and Stronger Together.
Listen to Sarah Spencer perform and share the stories behind her songs Sunshine State of Mind, Lost Amen, and Little One Bedroom.
