Hartbeat of the District is the Official Podcast of the Santa Clarita Valley’s William S Hart Union High School District. Our district is filled with thousands of unique individuals. Our mission is to share the perspectives of the incredible people in the santa clarita valley, perspective which may not have otherwise been heard outside of their circle. Mr Matt Hinze, Assistant Principal at Placerita and Rancho Pico Junior Highs, was appointed full time Hart District Covid Coordinator at the height of the pandemic. Now, as we have begun a new season of in person learning, Mr. Hinze joins the show to discus covid protocols moving forward. One year since the last time students were allowed on campus, Aaron sits down with Dr Nielsen, the Chief Administrative Officer for the Hart School District. They discuss the district's current plan to allow students to return to campus following a blended learning model, the physical precautions that have been put in place, and what reopening looks like moving forward.
