015 - So I finally caught up with Charles Osuji after trailing him for 3 years reading about his meteoric rise to “legal stardom” in Canada and got him to talk about what and how exactly this rise came about.
“ My name is Charles Osuji. I'm the seventh child out of eight kids. I came to Canada in 2011, sponsored by my brother, Joseph Osuji, a Nursing Professor. Before writing the bar exams, I did all kinds of survivor work, you can think of, sleeping only two nights in a week and eventually articling in a law firm that I currently own
I'll talk a little bit about my journey before that point in history, and it was typical of any immigrant's journey, arriving in a new country, having left all of the comforts, your home country afforded. I had family members here, but I told them I was only going to stay with them for a month and then start out on my own because I wanted to challenge myself.
And that's exactly what I did. I tried my hands on all kinds of work. This time I was working three jobs at a time morning afternoon night, you know, I was surviving on Red Bull at some point Red Bull came to its limit... “
For anyone who knows Charles, this is not your typical interview!
014 - In this episode I share in-depth, some structural changes that have been made in terms of Content Delivery - specifically how the individual episodes are delivered and the user experience as it relates to engagement and consumption.
We did not exactly have a name for the show and based on our review of the last six months, and the plans we are putting in place to position us for growth. We figured it was high time we separated the podcast as a brand, from the mother brand itself and that's what we're trying to achieve here so the podcast now has a name of its own, its Iconic life Podcast as a separate brand from the League of icons as the mother brand, and so that's what we have here
I unveil the new name for the podcast as well as a newly designed user-friendly website and a new website address: podcast.leagueoficons.com
The topics covered on a high level included:
Re-aligning Purpose - ensuring what we do in terms of content and activity is at the core of our predetermined overall purpose. Melissa West, founder of Xtreme Coaching over a period of Twelve weeks helped me have this all dialed in. I even became a Certified Blueprint for Success Facilitator.
Evaluation of our 90 Day Podcast Journey - The insights gathered lead to the complete redesign of the podcast website in order to help strengthen the brand and provide a seamless and rewarding experience for members of my tribe League Nation as they engage with the contents on the website. Even as we embark on the next phase of the journey.
Memberships - The desire to build a structured membership made me sign up for Tribe Experience 2021 led by Stu Mclaren, an absolute genius when it comes to building memberships. This would enable us to create a clearly defined success path of how we intend to help move members of our tribe, community, or inner circle from one point to the other in their journey of transformation for as many that are willing to engage in a deeper, structured and result-oriented way.
This is also in alignment with providing a community of like-minded individuals for connection and collaboration
Content Delivery - some structural changes we have made to the delivery of the individual episodes so that the content is easily consumed and not add up to the already overwhelming amount of resources available on the internet.
I must confess it's been an exciting last six months looking back and I am super ecstatic at the new updates and changes we are introducing in terms of structure, method, and content delivery. I want to encourage you to hit the subscribe button and subscribe to the show so you don't miss the fresh new content we have coming your way.
I am glad to be back!!
Let's build this League Nation
