A Tri-Pod Production: The point of this podcast is a way for me to better connect with my friends — get to know them on a more personal level, share stories, and find similarities. During the show, we drink a few glasses of whatever the guest prefers (most of the time it is wine), and we just vibe out. This show is nothing fancy or out of the ordinary. Just two friends, drinking and having a conversation.
In this episode, we circle back to one of our most popular episodes in which we deep dive through Reddit and answer the age-old question: Am I the jerk?
In this episode, Liz and Brandon tell you about their experience getting tattooed together and everything that was going through their minds as they watched one another go through the process. Towards the end, they also talk about what it was like for them going through the Pfizer vaccination process.
Liz and Brandon sit down with the President of Drexel University, Mr. John Fry. This is the first true "interview style" Brandon and Liz have ever done. We learn many things, but above all, we learn that President Fry is just like everyone else. He is just... John. Enjoy the listen.
Liz and Brandon's good friends Ashley and Dice sit down with them to talk about everything from a brand ambassadorship to our hectic lives. This episode is filled with chaotic good energy, so we hope you enjoy!
Our good friend, Gab, stops by to talk to us about everything ranging from positive self-development, life in a post-college, and how we perceive ourselves. This episode will really get you thinking!
In this episode, Brandon and Liz give you their inside experience from when they went to a psychic and you get to hear all the juicy details that come from that! They also go off on a slight tangent towards the end about love and roommates...but what else is new?
In this season’s FINAL episode (can you believe it?!?), we were severely sleep-deprived but woke af at the same time. We share our insights and experiences about our almost completed journey of higher education, specifically alternative and unconventional routes to higher education.
In this episode we get to know Alex Jenkins, the father, gamer and life-long dragon. We get a glimpse of his #COVIDLife as a professor and a parent, which includes rocking a luscious beard that we wish you all could see. Huge kudos to Jenkins for being the best dad to his two kids during these times, while Brandon and I are here barely being able to take care of ourselves.

This episode is a continuation of last week's episode with Florette Press! There was just so much we talked about that it was impossible to fit it into one episode! In this episode, we explore the more personal side of Florette and figure out the true meaning behind "Ain't That Something."
In the first of two episodes,Liz and Brandon have a good old fashion chat with Florette Press, academic advisor for the Drexel University communication department. In this episode, we talk about her beginnings at Kenyon College in Ohio and some of her college/post-college adventures.
It's just the follow up to last weeks episode. We talk about my life in recovery. Last week we talked about the life leading up to my sobriety.
It's a two-parter where Liz and I discuss my struggles with sobriety the past few years and my current commitment to recovery now. 127 days sober woot woot!
This will be our last episode of the season but don't worry, we’ll be back in the winter! In this episode, we go straight for the heartstrings. How so? Well, we write letters to our exes and read them to you all. THE TEA! Brandon writes one to his ex-girlfriend while Liz writes one to an ex-girl-friend (platonic). Full disclosure, these letters are not damning in any way but rather an expression of what we learned from these relationships and how we have grown as individuals since then.
This episode starts with even more tea spillage about questions for the opposite sex. However, it would not be a Liz and Brandon episode if we didn’t talk about mental health. In this part, we get a little deeper, delving into the effects of gender stereotypes and how they affect our behaviors. (WARNING: some tears may have been shed). Again, I want to put a disclaimer out there: all of our answers, opinions, and experiences are our own and don’t generalize to our genders.
This episode answers the age-old question “what does the opposite sex think.” You must believe me when I say this was a very entertaining episode to do. We took questions from you, our followers, as well as questions that we made up on our own. Questions ranged from as simple as “why do guys hock loogies?” to as thought-provoking as “do girls hate falling in love with the wrong person as much as guys do?”
In this episode, we get straight to the point and address some of the horror stories that Liz and I have faced growing up as minorities in predominantly white hometowns. These stories range from heated encounters in parking lots to maintaining an unwanted persona in the classroom. We also have an interesting discussion about the difference between ignorance and hate. It is important to understand the difference between the two. Moving on, we shift to the importance family plays in Southeast Asian cultures.
Thank you so much for coming back! You all are awesome in every way, and we are so grateful for every last one of you. This week, we touched on our dreams. Not the “I wanna be a billionaire so freaking bad” kind of dream, but the “oh my god why am I naked in the middle of my COM Theory class?” kind of dream. We also talk about some crazy lucid dreams, some of which involve eating soap to try to wake up. This is a very interesting episode filled with lots of “WTF” moments, and you will not want to miss this. Don't forget that no matter how bad a dream feels, when you open your eyes you'll realize “it was only just a dream.”
Last week was a very ‘Brandon and his mental health’ oriented episode. This week, we take a deeper dive into Liz’s experience with mental health. We discuss the feeling of being a burden on those around us, what it is like to be overworked and why we always seem to push ourselves to the brink of exhaustion. We also talk about close friendships, growing from traumatic experiences, and parental sacrifices.
In this episode, Liz came over so we could bake macaroons for a side project that we were working on together. In between mimosas and baking, we decided to record a podcast, haha! We first analyze the results of our Myers-Briggs Tests and discuss the stigmas the come with our astrological signs and talked about the trials and tribulations of maintaining trust and effective communication in a relationship and the toxicity of long-term relationships. We talked so much that we had to cut this into two episodes!
I promise you this is episode will make you think, laugh, and smile. At the end of the day that is all, I aim for. If I can make at least one person do all three of these things, then that means I’m doing my job as a “podcaster,” right. When it comes down to it, this world is far too crazy for you not to just sit back, check out, and listen to something that makes you feel less alone. In the words of the late and great Mac Miller, this episode had me “cheesin’ from cheek to cheek.” I hope it does the same thing for each and every one of my listeners. You all mean the world to me and I cannot wait for you all to hear the upcoming content we have in store for you.
For my second guest this week, I have my very good friend and podcast editor, Maddie Avarese. In this episode, which is filled with shameless name-drops and shout-outs, Maddie explains to me the basis of astrology and accepts me, despite the fact that I am a moody Scorpio. (Just kidding...or am I?) Continuing on, we discuss the battle of embracing your personal brand without linking it to your professional persona, as well as feeling comfortable in your own skin. We’ve all been there, am I right? This episode addresses many things that people may be scared to discuss, but that’s okay

The first person that came to mind when I first started this show was Liz Pham. We discuss her academic career, our similar background and upbringing and more!
