Welcome to the World Sustainability Collective, Purpose Planet Podcast. In Episode 4 we talk to Gary Adlen, founder and director of Carbon Happy World.
Carbon Happy aims to shine a spotlight on high-impact coastal projects for kelp and seagrass plantations. They can provide organisations with access to innovative and highly effective alternatives that deliver real carbon reductions in practice, not just on paper. Kelp, seaweed and sea grasses grow far more quickly and absorb CO2 faster than trees, and they don’t take up valuable land. They may be more expensive to plant, but they are at least 20 times more effective at absorbing CO2.
Welcome to the World Sustainability Collective, Purpose Planet Podcast. In Episode 3 we talk to founding member Keith Harvey.
Keith is the co-founder and CEO of UGP Energy Ltd, a company focused on providing environmental and carbon footprint reducing facilities and products. Their aim is to produce hydrogen whilst running the facility on green electricity that is produced in the process of creating hydrogen. The facility is intended to be a self powering hydrogen producing zero waste solution. At the very heart of the business lies an innovative, sustainable turn key solution; an eco self powering solution that is carbon and environmentally friendly, zero waste and creates a circular economy. The primary feed stock of the business is hemp, due to the carbon capture and by-product development intentions, however, the plant can be used with most feed stock to suit client needs.
