It is my intention that each and every one of us has the
information we need to make the best decisions about the way we choose to live our lives.

Living life on your terms, and being your authentic self.

Hello, My Friends

Welcome to Episode # 48
Practicing living a charmed life.
A charmed life is where things seem to fall into place for you effortlessly, you don’t have to strive, or work hard for things to fall into place.
3 ways to creating a charmed life will help you, and to make it easy for you to bring into your reality.

Cultivate simplicity.
By simplicity, I mean to remove everything from your life that clutters, your brain, your body, and your environment.
So you have space to think.
Often we have too many items in our home, that stops us from living a simple life.
Our stuff keeps us bound to what we own. It takes time to clean it, it takes time to move it, it takes time to move around your stuff.
Cultivate simplicity by making the space for you to live comfortably with your gear.
Have three boxes, one to give away, one to keep, one to discard.
Choose one area at a time, decide on each item one at a time.
Ask yourself, “Do I love it?” if yes it stays, if not it goes into one of the boxes.
Ask yourself, “Is it useful?” if yes it stays, if not it goes into one of the boxes.
Ask yourself, ” Is it beautiful?” if it has a negative memory attached to it, and you are ready and willing to let it go, release it.
Cultivate simplicity. Declutter your space.
Make space for yourself in your life.
We are so busy rushing around after everyone else, we don’t have the space to breathe and to be ourselves in our space.
When we allow ourselves to actually stop for a minute, how does that feel?
When you take a moment to actually breathe, and be with you, how does that feel?
A charmed life is a life that has space for you to be in it.
Your life is yours to live, often we give that away to other people, we give it away to our things, we give it away to our jobs, we give away the space that is ours, for us, and having a charmed life means taking back some of that space.
BE deliberate about what you do and who you do it with.
Charming people are very careful about what they watch, what they hear, who they spend their time with.

They want people who will elevate their energy, and they become the person who elevates other people’s energy.
BE deliberate about what you do with your time.
BE deliberate about what you do with your money.
The way that you spend your money tells a story about what is important to you.
Do a budget, and look and see where do actually put your money. That will tell you what is important to you.
Practicing a charmed life is knowing what’s important to you.
Be deliberate about what you do with your money, it’s being deliberate with what you do, and how you dress yourself.
How do you appear in the mornings? How do you make your appearance for work?
Do you have a cool, calm and collected exterior, and do you have a cool, calm, and collected interior? To match that.
BE deliberate about how you move through your day.
BE deliberate who you talk to and how you talk to them.
Be deliberate about who have your free time with, how you spend your free time and who you spend it with.
Make sure it elevates you, that is makes you feel good, that you come away feeling invigorated rather than put down or deflated.
Practicing living a charmed life is about cultivating simplicity in your environment, in the way you move through your life.
It’s about making space for you in your life, every person needs to have a little bit of space for themselves.
It’s about being deliberate about what you do, and who you do it with.

Living life on your terms, and being your authentic self.

Hello, My Friends

Welcome to Episode 37

Over the last month I have been sharing the way I choose to forgive myself and others.
Forgiveness is about Loving yourself, I believe that Loving yourself is the most important and best gift you can give yourself.
Self forgiveness is one of the greatest acts of love you can extend to yourself.

Remember that Forgiving yourself is about you, for you, it may or may not involve the actions of other people.
Self -forgiveness is about you letting go of the pain or the experience that is causing you harm, and pain.
Forgiveness is not about letting anyone off the hook, it is about releasing the invisible emotional cords that bind you emotionally to the person or situation that is holding you captive.
It is about you regaining your power.

The System I use to forgive myself and others has 4 steps to it. I’m sorry, I forgive you, I love you, Thank you.
Let’s do a short recap. Step number one is saying I’m sorry, this is where you acknowledge you are sorry, you are talking to your mind, your body, and your spirit.
The purpose is to acknowledge to yourself that you recognise you are willing to do something about your situation.

Step number two is saying I forgive you, this is where you are talking to yourself as if you were sitting in the chair opposite you.

Remember: There is never any space for self beat ups in this process. It is about you being open and honest with yourself. You already know how you feel, you are bringing those feelings to the table to be looked at and forgiven.
The purpose of forgiving yourself is to set you free from all the self incriminating thoughts you hold against yourself, for what you did, or did not do.
Stating to yourself, I forgive you, and then accepting that forgiveness from yourself is very freeing.

Step number three, is I Love You, we covered this last time, as a quick reminder this is where you get to tell yourself all the reasons you love who you are. How you love your mind, your body and your spirit.

Today we will be investigating step number four, Thank You.
This is the celebrating step, it is the step that cements all the others. Gratitude is a huge part of saying thank you to yourself, your situation or the event, person or emotion you are choosing to forgive.
Remember you are always in the seat of power. No-one or no-thing can harm you when you are in the forgiveness seat of power.
Okay, the idea of saying Thank You to yourself is to acknowledge that all the things you have been through have brought you to this moment. Each event and person including yourself has impacted the way you have grown and who you have become.
Today we say thankyou for those learnings, even the negative and painful learnings have things we can be grateful for.

Since we have been using the example of not eating healthily, we will continue on with this.
Imagine yourself sitting opposite yourself, in the seat of power. You have stated to your mind, your body and your spirit that you are sorry, acknowledging where you are, you have also asked for forgiveness and received forgiveness from your body, your mind and your spirit. Still in the seat of power you have shared all the reasons you love yourself with I love you statements. And now you get to share all the ways you appreciate yourself.
Let’s begin by imagining you are sitting opposite yourself. You look at yourself, (You can use a mirror if you are brave.)
Thank You, Linda, (Use your name, it works better when it’s personal.) Thank you for being a woman who likes to plan, I appreciate the way you organise your surroundings.
Thank You mind, you are intelligent, I am so grateful that you collect data and information from everywhere for me to make sound decisions.
Thank You for choosing to eat. I wouldn’t be here if you didn’t choose to eat. I appreciate that you know what foods are better to be eaten, and that you are willing to look at them.
Thank you body for working with the foods I have given you as fuel, I appreciate that you keep on keeping on even when the going is tough and the outlook is bleak.
I am so grateful that I have a body that can move, that is able to work effectively.
Thank you for the essence that is me, the part of me that makes me unique. You give me strength when I want to quit, You are my inspiration and my motivation.
I appreciate how the three work together to create a complete whole, and wonderful person.

If you are working through a situation that is not of your choosing, look for all the ways you have adapted and grown because of the challenges you have faced.
Let’s say you have a mother who blames you for her life. You can thank her for making you strong in the ability to be responsible for yourself. You can thank yourself for coping with situations and events that could have worked out way worse.
The idea is to find the ways the person, situation or thing has given you skills you wouldn’t have had, had you not gone through the experience.
Within every situation there is a benefit, the key is to flip the ‘negative’ things over and look for the silver lining. The ‘positive’ things that come from, or can come from a situation.
This is what Thanking Yourself is all about.
Appreciating you now, as you are. Your strengths and your weaknesses. Your hurts and your joys. Your victories and your defeats.
They are all part of you. This part of the process is to remind you of your uniqueness, you are one of a kind, there is no-one like you anywhere. Be confident in this. Celebrate being you.
You are incredible.

I hope that this format of forgiveness helps you as it has and continues to help me, come to terms with my history and my everyday.

If at any time through this process of Forgiveness: I’m sorry, Forgive me/I forgive you, I Love You and Thank you, you feel triggered please seek professional advice and help. I am not a registered medical practitioner, I am sharing my experience of forgiveness in the hopes it will help you with your journey to health and well-being. Personal emotional freedom and self love.

Step Three in the Self love forgiveness process.
Do you have trouble letting the things you have done go?
Do you struggle to love the person looking back at you in the mirror? The process of forgiveness accepts you as you are, and creates space for you

Hello, My Friends

Welcome to Episode 36

Loving yourself is the most important and best gift you can give yourself.
Self forgiveness is one of the greatest acts of love you can extend to yourself.

Forgiving yourself is about you, for you, it may or may not involve the actions of other people.

Step number one is saying I’m sorry, this is where you acknowledge you are sorry, you are talking to your mind, your body, and your spirit.
The purpose is to acknowledge to yourself that you recognise you are willing to do something abourt your situation.

Step number two is saying I forgive you, this is where you are talking to yourself as if you were sitting in the chair opposite you.
We talked about this step last week, as a reminder.
There is never any space for self beat ups in this process.

Step number three, which I want to delve into today is about stating I love you.
Remember this process is about you, and for you. You are always in the seat of power. You get to say what you need to be said so you can be heard.
Imagine you are sitting opposite yourself, you could do this part in front of the mirror, if you are feeling brave and want the most impact from this process.
We have been using the example of not eating healthily, so, to continue on with this.
You have acknowledged to your mind, your body and your spirit that you are sorry for the way you have mistreated your body.
You have asked for forgiveness from your mind, your body and your spirit, you have also accepted the forgiveness offered by your body, your mind, and your spirit.
Now it is time to acknowledge the love you have for your mind, your body, and your spirit.
You could say something Like, “I Love you, “Linda” (Place your name here), I love the way your mind is always planning, always thinking of new ways to do things.
I love that you love eating, I love that you are wanting me to survive. I love that I can breathe deeply and enjoy the food that is laid out before me.
I love the way my body uses the food I eat to generate energy to keep my body functioning. I love the way my body looks, you have done the best you can with what you have been given.
I Love you for that. I love you spirit, you are strong, you guide me in the best way you know how. I love that I am a free spirit, I love that this spirit gives me strength and resilence when times get hard.

You go through all the ways you love your body, and all the things it does for you, even when you don’t want to do anything, you body is still working for you.
Your body loves you, it doesn’t give up on you, it wants you to have be and do whatever you want from it. Your body loves you. Now is your opportunity to love it back.
Seek the one part of your body you like the most and let it know you love it.
You may feel foolish, I can guarantee there is no down side to genuinely loving your body.
Then you move onto your mind, look into your mind, find all the ways it works for you, your mind is always trying to keep you safe. Love your mind for that, love your mind for all the ways it has brought you to this space today.
Your mind is a marvellous piece of equipment and we under value it. It has the ability to change your entire life. Love your mind. Love the way you think, Love the ideas you have, Love your memory, Love you ability to schedule, Love the way your brain organizes.
Love your emotions, they are part of who you are. They are trying to guide you. They are your friends.
Now move into loving your spirit, your essence, your masculinity, your femininity.
Love all the things, that make you, you.

If you are using this process to heal the wounds of situations that were beyond your direct control.
You get to sit in the seat of power and remind the other people involved in the situation what you love about you.
The things the situation gave you, that you can love.
If you are willing to release the people who are attached to a situation, see if you can find something you can love about them.
Part of forgiveness is to break abd heak the spiritual and emotional ties of those attached to the events or situations that keep you trapped.
Choosing to love is a choice you make for yourself. It is a gift you give to yourself, for yourself.

Most likely anyone else involved in the situation is unaware of the effect it is having on you.
Loving yourself is the thrid step in the forgiveness process I use to heal my emotional wounds, to clean out the infected thinking, and to wash out the bitterness and pain.
The great thing about this process is you don’t actually have to have a conversation with anyone else.
The process of being sorry, asking for and receiving forgiveness, then giving and receiving love is energetic, and spiritual.
I love how this part of the process makes me feel complete, whole and perfectly imperfect in my humanity.

Have a fabulous day my friends. Until next time…

Step two of the four step process I use to forgive myself and others.
I forgive you.
When was the last time you said these words to yourself?
Forgiving yourself is part of loving yourself.
Forgiveness is for you, and about you. Setting you free.

Hello, My Friends

Welcome to Episode # 35

Loving yourself through self forgiveness Part Two.
Forgiving yourself is the greatest act of love you can extend to yourself.

Last time we spoke about the four parts I use to forgive myself and others.
Remember forgiveness is about you, for you. It may involve the actions or non-actions of other people, but it is always about you.
When you hold onto the pain, or the experience you are also tying yourself to them emotionally.
Forgiveness is about taking your power back, it’s about regaining your control of yourself from the inside out.

The system I use has 4 Steps, I’m sorry, I forgive you, I love you, and Thank You.
You always have the seat of power in this process.

Last time we spoke about how I use the I’m sorry part of the process.
Today I want to share the I forgive you step.
Each of these steps work in sequence.

In each of these steps we are speaking to ourselves as if we were someone sitting opposite us.

Imagine yourself sitting in the chair opposite you, you are in the seat of power.
No one or nothing is able to harm you.
Think about the situation you are working through.
Let’s take the example from last time, where you’ve not been eating healthily.
You’ve stated to your body, your mind, and your spirit that you are sorry.
Now you get to ask yourself, your body, your mind and your spirit for forgiveness.
You could say something like, “Forgive me for neglecting you, for eating the foods that I know are not nutritious and life giving.”
Forgive me body for putting you under stress emotionally by not feeling the emotions as they surface.”
Continue asking your body, your mind and your spirit for forgiveness for all the ways they have been mistreated, neglected and unnuturued with your eating.
Remember you are in the power seat, this is not a beat up on yourself session.
You are asking for forgiveness of your body, of your mind, and of your spirit.
The purpose is to give yourself grace, to let go of the pain, the hurt, the resentment that has been held against yourself, by yourself.

Now, you get to switch chairs, you get to see yourself sitting in the opposite chair. In the seat of the offended.
Begin by saying something to acknowledge you have heard the ask for forgiveness.
For example you may say something like, “I hear what you are saying, my body has struggled with being out of shape for a long time, I am choosing to forgive you for neglecting me.”
Continue with all the reasons you may have listed you want forgiveness for.
Notice if more items come up, if they do, switch seats mentally, and apologize, then ask for forgiveness, before switching back again.
This process can take a few minutes to run through.
When you are sitting in the offended ones seat, you are clearing the air with yourself.
This is not the time for arguing, for dismissing, or for gaslighting.
If you feel this way, then the process of apology is required.
When the air is clear, and you have asked for forgiveness for your part of the situation.
You as the offended party, gets to give forgiveness.
State I forgive you, “Linda” (Place your name in here). I release the hurt and pain that I have been holding against you.
Remember forgiveness is for you, it is not about anyone else. It is a choice you get to make to free yourself from the emotional hold of another, including yourself.

If your situation involves someone else, you are always in the seat of power.
You get to imagine them asking you for forgiveness for their actions or inactions that have caused you pain.
Remember this is about you, you get to tell them how you feel, how you felt. You get to let them know (they are sitting in your imagination in the seat opposite you) (if you have experienced deep trauma please do not attempt this without supervision, it may cause you more harm.)what you are feeling before you allow them to apologize, and ask your forgiveness.
Cuttng the emotional ties of historic relationships can be difficult, what I have found that by going through the process in my imagination, I get to feel the emotions that I have buried, and in doing so I get to release those emotions and the person holding me tied to them.
Taking delight inseeing the person who has been holding the reins of your emotions and power, shrivel and wither as you state “I FORGIVE YOU, I FREE MYSELF FROM THE EMOTIONAL HOLD YOU HAVE OVER MY LIFE”
And then in your imagination, you get up and walk out. Holding all your emotional power.

You may need to remind yourself that you have set yourself free from their control. Habits can take time to break.
Often we have lived habitually in a certain way, to keep the peace, to keep ourselves safe.
These emotions of habit are also open for self forgiveness. Set yourself free.
Forgive yourself, and continue to give yourself grace to stumble, pick yourself up, state “I’m sorry, I forgive you.”and carry on.

As a reminder, I am not a trained therapist, this is what I do when I want to heal a relationship or a wound from my history.
Please seek professional medical assistance if this has triggered you in any way.

It is my intention to empower you to release the emotional ties of your history, so you can live your life fully, today and in the future.
I find that after a time of forgiving, I can be emotionally spent, but always freer.

Give yourself the gift of self love, forgive yourself for all the ways you know you have not been loving yourself.

Until next time my friends.
State I forgive you, to yourself, then claim that forgiveness. Walk in your personal power, knowing you have been forgiven and now have a new place to begin.
have a fabulous day my friends.
If you want help to work through this process, contact me, together we can free you from the pain and hurts that are holding you emotionally captive.

Do have that nagging voice in the back of your mind, reminding you why you’re not good enough?
Feeling like you are the last person you can love?
Self love goes hand in hand with self forgiveness. Lets begin to love you from the inside out.

Welcome to Authentic Living Coaching, The Podcast,
I’m your hostess, Linda Codlin

I am a certified life coach, and the founder of Authentic Living Coaching.
I am passionate about helping you to help yourself.
It is my intention that each and every one of us has the
information we need to make the best decisions about the way we choose to live our lives.

Living life on your terms, and being your authentic self.

Hello, My Friends
Welcome to Episode # 34

Loving yourself is the most important and best gift you can give yourself.
It is also one of the most foreign gifts you can give yourself if you are not in the habit of respecting yourself.

Today I want to talk about the hairy and scary topic of self-forgiveness.
Forgiving yourself is the greatest act of love you can extend to yourself

We tend to be harder on ourselves than we are on those around us.
We make excuses for other peoples bad behaviour, but condemn ourselves for lesser actions.

Forgiving yourself is about you. It may involve the actions or non actions of other people.
The thing about forgiveness is that the person holding onto the pain, or the experience is the person being harmed by the experience.
Forgiveness is about letting go of the invisible cord that binds you emotionally to the person or situation that is holding you back.
Forgiveness is not letting anyone off the hook, or agreeing with their behaviour, or taking the blame, it is totally about you.
It is about you regaining your power.
When you allow a situation or person to rule your actions and beliefs you are giving your emotional and often your physical power to someone else.
Forgiveness is about taking back that power, it’s about being responsible for what you can be responsible for.

The system I use has 4 steps, I’m sorry, I forgive you, I love you, and Thank you, the way I use these steps creates healing for the person using it.
You take a position of power in your life.
Step number one is to acknowledge you are sorry.
State to yourself what you are sorry for, let’s say you’ve not been eating healthily.
Talking to your body, your mind and your spirit. Be completely honest with yourself for what you are sorry for. This is not a beat up on you session, it is a recognition of how you have let yourself down, and how you want to create better outcomes.
You could say something like, ” I’m sorry, “Linda” (Place your name here) for not taking better care of you, I’m sorry I have allowed you to get out of shape, I’m sorry I have neglected you by not caring about what I put into my body.
I’m sorry for not giving you positive stimulating information to think about.
The purpose is to acknowledge to yourself that you recognise you are willing to do something about your situation.
If your situation includes someone else, you can forgive yourself for they way you see yourself in that situation.
Let me be clear, I am not saying that you are responsible for the situation, I am saying you have feelings about how you handled the situation, and if these feelings are preventing you from moving into a life you want to be living, then give yourself the grace to apologize to yourself for them.
For example, Your mother might always blame you for the way her life has turned out.
Your Mothers life is up to her, how you feel about being blamed is up to you.
Using the I’m sorry part of forgiveness, you could imagine your mother was sitting in front of you. (You’re not ready to talk to her directly yet.)
You get to tell her that you are sorry she feels this way, you get to tell her how you feel, you might even like to write it down. (Then burn it safely, for your eyes only.)
You get to tell yourself that you are sorry that you have allowed your mother to speak to you in a certain way, you get to tell yourself you are sorry that you didn’t have the courage to walk away.
You get to say to your body that you are sorry for putting it in excessivesly stressful situations, being sorry for the tension that has built up in your body by taking on the blame of your mother.
You get to say to your mind that you are sorry for listening to words spoken by your mother that have created certain feelings of resentment.
You also get to say to your spirit that you are sorry for holding it back by taking on board the beliefs that you are to blame for your mothers life being like it is.

When we hold onto the pain given to us by other people it has an affect on us.

As an example: I would say to myself, imagining my mother sitting opposite me, remembering I am sitting in my place of power, and she can not harm me in any way.
Mother, I am sorry you feel like I am to blame for life being the way it is.
I am also sorry that I have allowed you to make me feel responsible for your life.
I am sorry that I have taken on board your view of life, I am sorry that I feel responsible for everything and everyone in my life.
I am sorry that I was not strong enough to tell you how being blamed has affected my life.
I am so sorry for taking all the blame into my body, creating stress and disease in my muscles, in my cells.
I am so sorry for not taking better care of me, when my gut told me to move away from this situation.
I am sorry that I was not the guard of my mind, and that I allowed the words to cut into my subconscious mind like a hot iron searing the unhealthy words in my mind like a brand.
I am sorry that I have weakened by essence by not standing up for myself, for not being true to me.
I am sorry for not listening and acting as was needed for my well-being.
I am sorry that allowing me to be me, has been too scary, to speak my truth has been too hard, to say what I need to say in love has been unthinkable.
Linda, I am sorry for the pain you have been through, I am sorry for the harm you have faced, Iam sorry that I didn’t protect you better.

This first stage of forgiveness is to clean out all the hidden emotions, all the anger, hurt, pain , dissappointments that have been hiding inside you.
If you decide to imagine someone who has harmed you sitting opposite you, choose someone you are truly willing to forgive and break the ties of the past.
Remember I am not a trained therapist, this is what I do when I want to heal a relationship or a wound from my history.
Please seek professional medical assistance if this has triggered you in any way.

It is my intention to empower you to live your life fully.
To end this podcast I want to suggest that you flip the I’m sorry to I am grateful.
We will cover this in step three, but it feels too heavy to leave you in a space of being sorry.
For example using the I’m sorry’s above.
I am grateful that I have allowed you to make me feel responsible for your life because I am a stronger person because of it, I have learned to handle difficult things better.
I am grateful for not taking better care of my body, because I wouldn’t here now, seeking health and well being.
I am grateful that I haven’t guarded my mind, because now I know what to watch out for, I know how challenging it is to rewire my subconscious mind, so I am more mindful of what I put into my brain.

For every I’m sorry find the silver lining.

Until next time my friends, Begin the forgiveness process with yourself. It is the greatest gift of love you can give yourself.

Hello, My Friends
Welcome to Episode # 33

I love when all the behind the scenes work comes into place to create a work of art.
The behind the scenes work for me has been the way I think about other people.

In my history I was taught not to trust. Firstly myself, and secondly other people.
I felt socially inept, I didn’t know how to be around other people.

I was so concerned about what they would think about me, and how I looked that I was awkward and aloof.
Guess what happens when you show up awkward and aloof, those very people I want to interact with, would leave me alone.
They would feel my awkwardness and my aloofness and presume I didn’t want to be bothered.

Part of my journey, is to deliberately stretch myself into situations that will create the opportunity for me to grow.
Growth is not an easy thing, it is often painful, awkward and uncertain.
Being in the learning zone, means facing fears, means trying new ideas, means doing things badly. It also means finding new ways of being, having successes that were unthinkable, morphing into the person that has been a hope ‘forever’.

Once I came to terms within myself, that I can actually trust myself, that the world is not going to stop, or that I’m worth putting in the effort, then the process has become easier.

I’m talking about the internal easier, because I no longer fight myself, or at least not as hard or as long as I did. The negative self-talk has been replaced with acceptance. (Most of the time)
Remember I am also a human, having a human experience in a human body.
Life serves me challenges that I have no idea how to manage. It’s part of the joys and woes of being human.

What about you?
How do you feel about yourself?
Everything begins with you. Remember your thoughts create everything, your thoughts determine how you experience that curved balls that life sends our way.
Your thoughts can make a bad situation worse, or they can make it an opportunity for you to become stronger, better, and more authentically you.
Your thoughts determine your attitude, and people are attitude interpreters, people have an inbuilt radar that senses energy vibrations, people also respond or react to those energy vibrations knowingly or not.

When you are at peace with yourself, you are more likely to have kinder thoughts about yourself, which shifts your energy signature up the vibrational scale.
The better you feel, deep inside yourself, the higher your vibration.
Everything is energy and everything, including humans are vibrating.
Have you wondered why you resonate with some people and not others. It’s a vibrational thing, you are most likely to be on the same wave length.

If you are wanting to improve your relationships with those around you, begin by improving your relationship with yourself.

Next week I will talk about the self forgiveness which I have found is a big part of loving yourself, of accepting yourself, all of yourself.
Every human has the ability to behave in ways that enhances and helps themselves and mankind, those same humans also have the ability to behave in ways that harm and hurt themselves and mankind.

So today I want you to think about how you interact with the people around you, are you in the awkward and aloof stage of growth? Maybe you act confident on the outside, but on the inside you are filled with self doubt.
May be you are great at work, where you have honed your skills, but in personal gatherings you feel uneasy?
Maybe you are very social when you have had a limbering up drink or two?

Awareness is the first step to knowing yourself. Have you admitted these feelings to yourself? Most of us shove these feelings deep down inside us, and then add food, alcohol, shopping, adrenlin activities, we each have our own flavour of denial.
This week become aware of how you feel in social situations.
Begin to tell yourself you can meet new people, then say ‘Hello” to one new person. That’s all just, say “Hello”. Build evidence for your brain that you can greet new people, and still be okay.

Have a fabulous day my friends. Until next time…

How do you overcome obstacles? Are they annoyances to be avoided?
Did you know some of the greatest successes in history have come from people finding new and innovative ways to overcome obstacles.
We all have obstacles, how we overcome them is key.

Welcome to Authentic Living Coaching, The Podcast,

Hello, My Friends
Welcome to Episode # 32

What do you do when you come across an obstacle on the path to your goal?

What is an obstacle?
An obstacle is anything that is perceived as a road block, a hindrance, a limiting belief, or a physical stumbling block to gaining the thing you want.

Obstacles are unique to the person facing them.
Because each of us has our own background and our own story we tell ourselves about that background, we also have very individual and personal obstacles.

What may be an obstacle to one is not an obstacle to another.
This is why groups working together with a common goal are able to support each other to achieve greater things than individuals alone.
We can bounce ideas off each other, where one person sees an obstacle another will see an opportunity.

Sometimes obstacles are very necessary for our growth and development.
Without obstacles, set backs, or hurdles we may not develop our full potential.

Have you noticed how few obstacles there are, when you are alone, when you are not moving towards a goal, or when don’t have a purpose or desire to create and pursue?

The road of least resistance, or the road with the least amount of obstacles may not always be the best road.
Now, I’m all about ease, the energy of ease, this is where your vibrational energy is in alignment with your desire, where you are in harmony with yourself and your situation.
However, as being humans this is not our normal setting, we have been trained to strain and strive to achieve.
We have been taught that if it’s not hard it’s not worth the energy expended to get it. This has us creating more obstacles than we need to face.

Our internal belief about everything, including obstacles, complications, problems and spanners in the works define the parameter of thought we have about these things.
As we uplevel our internal beliefs, and begin to see ourselves as people who can do “hard” to us things, we shift the belief around what is hard.

What do you do when you come across an obstacle on your path?
Do you throw your hands in the air, pout and give up?
Do you get angry, at the obstacle, at the people involved near the obstacle, at the system that may seem to be putting up barriers?
Do you shrug your shoulders and walk away, claiming there is no point, arguing with what is?
Do you go into battle, determined to change the way things are done?
Do you go into investigation mode, working out what the obstacle is, how big it is, whether there is another way around it, or through it?

Depending on the obstacle and your goal each of these methods could be viable.
The question then becomes how much do you want, what you claim you want.

Obstacles are inevitable, life happens, and it happens to everyone.
It doesn’t matter how much money you earn, what your marital status is, where in the world you live, life happens.

It’s about you, your attitude, your resilience, your stamina and your thought processes.
Everything is figure-out-able.
You have what it takes to figure out a way through, a way around, a way over any hurdle that pops up on your path.
If you want your desired goal enough you will create a way to go through any obstacle.

You will use the obstacle as an opportunity to grow and strengthen your skill base.
Every obstacle has the potential to create a new level of resilience in you, if you allow yourself to work your way through.
How you think will determine how you behave, which will be a huge factor in how you face life’s hurdles.

Have a fabulous day my friends. Until next time…

Do you find yourself unable to make sound decisions at the end of the day?
Does the smallest of choices have you spinning into overwhelm?
You could be suffering from Decision Fatigue.
This weeks message is to help you simplify your choices, your life.

Welcome to Episode # 31

Today I want to talk about making decisions.
For some of us making a decision is a very difficult process.
We are faced with making decisions hundreds of times a day.
Little decisions and not so little decisions.

Have you thought about your process for making a decision?
Often we make a decision on a whim, or a feeling without investigating what is driving that feeling.

Decision fatigue is the mental exhaustion you experience after making a lot of decisions.
The more decisions you are required to make early on in your day, the greater is the likelyhood of of mental fatigue around making decisions in the latter part of the day.
This is part of the reason, That the, what shall we have for dinner question is so tiresome, most of ask this question at the end of a long and tiring day, when we have already made many decisions and this one seems too hard.

How do you know when you are suffering from decision fatigue?
You may begin to feel more negatively towards yourself and others, your physical energy is depleted and everything is an effort, and normally it wouldn’t be an effort.
You feel mentally drained, like you are in a thinking fog, it is difficult to gain any clarity around what you are thinking.
Your judgement is impaired, because you are mentally drained your ability to think and act in ways that are good for you is also affected. You may find you take the easy way, the path of least resistance, n the evening.
And then beat yourself up mentally about it in the morning, claiming you know better than that, and promise yourself you’ll do better next time. Only to repeat the process all over again in the afternoon.
Another way you may be suffering from decision fatigue is that you find yourself avoiding making decisions, you become resistant to deciding on anything, and slip into procrastination behaviours.
Which of course leave you feeling bad about yourself.
On the flip side, you may jump into decisions without due thought, just to get it over with, and then suffer from decision regret. Wishing you hadn’t made that particular choice.

Decision fatigue is when you are mentally exhausted.
It often hides behind other actions or non actions. Which we then focus on trying to fix ourselves, as an aside you are not broken, you can not be fixed, you can be enhanced, and expanded on, not fixed.

To overcome decision fatigue, there are a few decisions that need to be made ahead of time.
I know it seems counter intuitive.
Follow along and I’ll tell you more.
Simplifying your life will help to reduce the amount of smaller, less important decisions.
Things like what to wear, if you have what is called a capsule wardrobe, you will always know what clothes to wear with what, they match each other. Less decision making around the questions of “What shall I wear today?”
If you only purchase three breakfast cereals instead of five, you have reduced your decision making choices. The same with meals at the end of the day, plan a menu for the week, allow for the mental fatigue at the end of the day. Make meals easy for you to follow through with preparing. Set yourself up to succeed.
Simplify your home environment, clutter can be stressful and with a fatigued brain, clutter can be overwhelming.
Start small, throw away seven pieces of rubbish everyday, tidy one small space. And do it earlier in the day so the task is not so overwhelming. With consistency your home will become a safe haven to return home to.

When you begin to feel your mind wandering off topic, take a break, if possible splash a little cold water on your face, have a drink of water, stretch your arms above your head, relax your shoulders, these small actions make a huge difference, get some fresh air.
Become mindful of the thoughts you are thinking, write a list of all the thoughts that are circulating in your mind.
Remember thoughts belong on paper where we can look at them objectively.
Write a pros and cons list for the major decisions, and remember to include what you REALLY want to see happen in there as well.
And finally delegate, or hire someone to help you.
Ask the children to pitch in, use a reward they enjoy as a carrot, ask your partner or spouse for their participation, “I know, they should already know and be helping, partners are not mind readers, they also need direction)

The biggest takeaway I want you to have from today is by simplifying your life you can reduce decision fatigue and improve how you feel about your life.

Have a fabulous day my friends. Until next time…
Begin small to simplify your life, one small action can create huge results, make one decision now to reduce making the same decision every day. Creating space for you to make more better decisions.
Live your best life, one small compounding decision at a time, Know yourself and live your life authentically.

Events only have meaning when we give them meaning with the thoughts that we think.
Resistance is telling us we are having a thought that is not in alignment with our feelings or our actions.
These thoughts are changeable.

Welcome to Episode # 30

Today I want to talk about resistance.

Resistance is one of those emotions we feel, when we want to do something, but a part of us is not completely on board with the idea.
We know we should be doing something, like exercising regularly, or eating less, or getting up earlier, or saving more for retirement.
BUT, we don’t.
We talk ourselves out of the action.
Remember everything begins with a thought. Resistance is no different.
There will be a nagging thought about what you want to do, have or be.
The feeling of resistance is telling you, that you are out of alignment somewhere.

The more we resist something the more energy we expend on the resistant thing.
Where we focus our attention, that is where our energy goes.
By learning to recognize resistant thoughts, and noticing they are present, seeking to know what they have to tell us about our emotional alignment, gives us the power to change that resistance into acceptance.

Resistance is always working for us.
It is valuable feedback, when you are feeling resistant, acknowledge you are feeling resistant.
Then look at the thought that is creating the resistance.
Everything is created by a thought, your emotions, your resistance, your acceptance, your habits, everything.

Everything means nothing until a thought gives it meaning.
It can be raining outside, that’s a fact that is noted, however that rain doesn’t mean anything until you think something about it.
You might think about the clothes on the line getting wet, now. You might think about the drainage issue and the last time it rained.
You might think about how you’ll get wet, running to the car, because you forgot to take your umbrella with you.
The rain doesn’t mean anything, other than it’s raining until we put a meaning to it.
That meaning then sparks an emotional response in us, and that will either create action or resistance to action.

When we note we are resistant to going out in the rain, notice how the brain will give us a list of reasons why it’s not a good idea to go outside right now.
We get to decide what action or non action we take. We can allow the resistance to getting wet, to prevent us from doing what we planned, or we could find another way around the rain.
Like finding an umbrella, taking an undercover route to the car, wearing a rain jacket. Or we could cancel a meeting, leave the clothes on the line, watch the water levels rising at the drain, or go out and clear the drain.
You could also be like a toddler, and revel in the rain. Have you watched a small child, delight in the rain, stomping in the puddles, yelling with delight at the rain on their faces as they try to catch the raindrops with their tongues.
Same rain, the toddler has no resistance to getting wet, they have no thoughts about the rain at all, they are enjoying the moment.
Until an adult intervenes and scolds the child, telling them to come inside, that getting wet is a bad idea. Now the seed has been sown, they may be a little more hesitant the next time to play in the rain.

Accepting the resistance you are feeling, is progress towards releasing the resistance, seeing what the resistance is trying to tell you.
When we look at the action or non action we are resisting, we may find we have conflict within ourselves.
We want the result, that the action will give us, we don’t want to go through the process of doing those actions.
Resistance is showing us an area where we don’t believe we are worthy, or good enough, or ready to have the result we want.
If we ignore the resistance and white knuckle the action anyway, we get the result we want, however we don’t get the feeling of satisfaction and pleasure.

I have found that the niggle of the resistant feeling of not being worthy or good enough, taints the result, it sows doubt about the validity of the result and myself.
When I accept the resistance and look at where the disconnect is in my thinking and my feeling, and work on this aspect.
The resistance fades away, I can follow through with the action, with all my energy going in one direction.

Resistance is our friend, it is telling us about areas in our lives, where our thinking is making something mean more than it needs to. Where we are not being honest with ourselves about what we are willing to do, or not do to gain the thing we think we want.

Today’s challenge is to think about how much of your energy is going into resisting what you don’t want, instead of accepting that it is, and going with it.

Have a fabulous day my friends. Until next time…
If you want help to figure out how to accept the things you are resisting, connect with me, and together we can work a way forward through the resistance.

These three D’s will change your life, as they have changed mine.
Learning to live them, putting them into action everyday, not necessarily perfectly, just consistently will make a difference. One decision at a time.

Welcome to Episode # 29

Today’s podcst is a recording of a speech I gave last week.
It’s a bit scratchy but I think the message is worth hearing.

The 3 D’s
Master these three aspects of your personality and you can master anything.
What are these three things:
Discipline
Diligence
Dedication

When I began my journey of self discovery I was undisciplined, I would not take any responsibility for my life.
some would say I was living in the victim mode of being.
I was dedicated, to the harmful aspects of my personality- like negative self talk, laziness, and balmae.
Being diligent wa not a word that I would have used to describe myself.

I had an elderly neightbour, Mr Cawley, how would lean over the fence and chatter away to the children.
One day, he called me over, I was frazzled, and he was stopping me from getting things done.

he leaned over closely, “Linda”, he said. “If you use these three D’s, your life will change.
I half-heartedly listened, what does a 10 year old man know.
Huh, such youthfulness, such foolishness.

He explained, if I mastered the art of inner discipline, nothing outside of me would faze me.
If I became didligent in the little things, the big things would take care of themselves.
Instantly I thought about money and budgeting.
If I dedicated myself to something bigger than myself, my life would have more meaning.

For the longest time I struggled to put these in place.
My life heritage was a strict religious background and everything I kneew was based on how things looked, and a ‘relationship with a strict deity.’

Discipline was something doe to your, under the guise of being good for you. I rebelled against rules of any knid, until I figured out he was talking about me making the rules for my life.

I get to make decisions on how I want to live.
Inner discipline comes from loving myself- it’s what I do for myself reather than what I am told to do.

Diligence was the day to day, following the routine I had set out for myself, until it became a habit, he was so right, by taking care of the little things while they were little, life became less chaotic.

Dedication is choosing something that I believe in, and that I am willing to give myself to.
This is am interesting cpncept, because we can dedicate ourselves to a cause, not because of the cause, but from what we give and receive from the giving.

Learning to dedicate my time and money, my energy and my soul to helping people is giving me meaning and purpose, which has a compounding effect.

So in conclusion.

These three D’s will change your life., like they have changed mine- if you will put them to work for you.

Discipline
Diligence
Dedication

Discipline yourself from within and nothing will faze you.
Be Diligent with the little things and the big things will be less chaotic.
Dedicate yourself to somethng bigger than yourself, to find meaning and purpose.

oxoxo Linda

Hello, My Friends
Welcome to Episode # 28

Today I want to talk about self-love and what we believe it to be.
Do you know what your self-love belief is?

For me, it is knowing who I am, being at peace with my past, and trusting myself
to live into the future with the attitude of whoopie, lets see how far this thing goes.

My journey to self-love began with a ‘simple’ revelation.
It isn’t a new revelation, I have heard it over and over all my adult life.
I have read about it in almost every self help, self improvement book I have ever read.
And I have read a few.

For some reason this little phrase and it’s side kick, touched my heart and changed my life.

“THOUGHTS BECOME THINGS”

“If you can think a thought, You can change a thought.”
“All thoughts are optional”

Thoughts become things.
Everything is created twice.
Think about that, roll it around inside your mind.
What do I mean? Everything is created twice.

Everything that is now, once wasn’t.
The chair you are sitting on, wasn’t always a chair, once it may have been a tree, or a sheet
of metal, if you have leather or fabric covering they were something else before they became
furniture coverings.
The bed you sleep in, the television you watch, the book or magazine you read, the phone you use.

There was a time not so long ago, when these things didn’t exist or weren’t as refined as they are now.

Everything is created twice.
When you are hungry, do you think about the food you want to eat?
That’s the first creation.
You think about what you have available and what you want, you decide whether to cook,
or to get take outs, or go out to eat.
Still the first creation.
When you reach into the fridge to prepare your meal, drive to the take away outlet and
place your order, or go to the restaurant, read the menu, then give the waiter your order.
You have begun the process of the second creation.
When the food is set out before you and you are ready to eat.
The second creation is complete.

Everything is created twice.
This is such good news.
It means that between the first creation- our thought about what we want- and the second
creation – the actual thing we were thinking about- becomes reality, we have the opportunity
to change what we are thinking.
Which then changes the reality we create.

Wham! It’s that simple and it’s that hard. All in a small nutshell.

Everything is created twice.
We get to decide what it is we create.

Be a detective, and investigate the times you can see that you created results by the thoughts
you had and the actions, you took to make those thoughts reality.

Did you build a house?
A lot of thought and planning goes into building a house.
A lot of background work happens before the section is purchased, or the first foundation is laid.
Most of this background work isn’t seen by the average person walking past an empty section, all they see is a vacant lot.
However when the proud new owner of this plot of land looks at it, they see the potential of their dream home.
They stand in various positions, visualising their view from the lounge, seeing which way the sun will strike at different times of the day, they see the gardens.
The new owners of the land are creating, they are creating for the first time, in their minds eye.
In reality, they have already created, they created their home well before the land was purchased.
The idea that they could buy land and build a home, began as a seed someone, or some thing planted in their brain.
Over time as they thought about it, they watered the seed and it began to grow, they did some research, watered the seed some more, they began to believe that it could be possible.
They watered that possibility, they took action on their belief and eventually, they created in reality a structure that could be felt, held and lived in.

Our ability to love ourselves is just like that.
It begins with a thought.
That thought might be triggered by something you read, or something you heard. The seed of hope planted, that maybe you are indeed worthy to be loved.
That you can love yourself.
You can find the kindness to extend to your self.
Self love to me is allowing me to be human, and as a human I make mistakes, I laugh, I cry, I hurt, and I hurt others, I also have compassion, and all the human emotions.
And this is okay.

What is your belief around self-love?
Do you believe you are worthy of putting yourself first in your life?
Do you believe that taking care of your body is important, and make it a priority?
Do you believe you can be good enough to live the life you want?
Do you believe you are lovable?

What is your belief about yourself and how you love you?
Your mission for today should you choose to think about it, is to be the detective and investigate the ways you love yourself now.
And listen to your brain giving you all the ideas, on how you want to take care of yourself lovingly.

Thoughts become things.
Think about the ways you can love yourself, and then begin to act on them.
Change your thinking, change your life.
There is freedom in those words.

Have a fabulous day my friends. Until next time…

We use affirmations all the time.
An affirmation is the way we speak to ourselves.
What are the words you regularly use to describe yourself?
Do they make you feel better or worse about yourself?
Words have power, lets use them for you instead of not.

Hello, My Friends
Welcome to Episode # 27

Affirmations are the sentences you use to tell yourself, who you think you are.
Are you using these sentences for your good?
Every day in hundreds of ways we are telling ourselves who we are.
I was listening in on a conversation the other day,
Every second or third statement was an affirmation about who they believe themselves to be. And it wasn’t helping them to be their best today.
Listening to people living their lives from the past, and being tied to it as if it is the only thing they have to live for.
Grieves me, I know that there is so much more to life.
And I know it is there for each of us.
The sad thing is we don’t actually believe we are worthy of a future that doesn’t have pain, or harm in it.
Are you like I was, some-one who thinks that life is not supposed to be easy,
Let me give you a few examples from my life on how I made life more difficult than it needed to be.
I told myself the story that raising children was hard, children were to be trained, and disciplined, it was up to me to make sure they minded what I said.
I made life so difficult for myself and my children.
I told myself that earning a living was hard, that I had to work long and hard hours, unsocial hours to earn the money I wanted. I wasn’t worthy of an easy job.
If the work wasn’t hard, physical or arduous I wasn’t working hard enough.
I told myself that having nice furniture and things wasn’t for me, I didn’t believe I deserved such things, and if I did get them some-one or some-thing would take them away or break them.
You get the picture, my value of myself was so low, I didn’t expect to be treated nicely.
And you know what, I wasn’t.
Each of the above affirmations were true at that time in my life, because that was what I was putting out.
We get back what we put out. Simple as that.
The vibration of your core belief is what draws things into your life.
When you have a subconscious belief that you have to work hard for every thing, every thing is hard.
We prove ourselves to be true.
Why not up level your core belief, begin to walk up the ladder of self love.
Begin to treat yourself a little better from within.
Use the I AM ENOUGH affirmation to change the not enough thoughts.
Part of where I am today is because I chose to reprogramme my core belief about myself.
From I am not enough, to I AM ENOUGH, and I AM WORTHY OF THE BEST THE UNIVERSE HAS TO OFFER.
You can make this transition too.
Do you want to move into prosperity?
Do you want your life to feel easier?
Do you want to find the love of your life?
Do you want to have children who enjoy their child hood?
Do you want to believe you are worthy of the best that the Universe has to offer?
What does that look like for you?
Today’s challenge is to Smile, and treat yourself kindly.
Treat yourself like you would if you were a small child who had just lost their ice cream to a licky playful Labrador.
Treat yourself like you want some one you love and respect to treat you.
Become some-one you love to be around.
Let your fun side out to play in the sunshine.
Helping you to help yourself create a life that you love one affirmation at a time…
I AM ENOUGH
I AM WORTHY OF THE BEST THE UNIVERSE HAS TO OFFER.

How is your relationship with money?
For the longest time I ignored money, my belief around money and wealth was not healthy.
Would you like to have more money?
Do you know what that would look and feel like?
come with me today and investigate your money.

Hello, My Friends
Welcome to Episode # 26

Is your goal to generate wealth?
Are you the first person in your family to have this goal?

This is exactly where I am, it is an exciting and scary place to be.
Today I want to talk about money and creating new thought beliefs.
As I have mentioned before I come from a religious background where generating and keeping money, assets, and wealth was frowned upon.

Part of coaching and being coached is seeing the beliefs that are obvious to everyone else, but are hidden to you.
This week as part of my wealth growth mindset inspection, I asked myself the question: I am a woman who … Then I wrote down all the words that came to me, without filtering them, There are no right or wrong words, there are no positive or negative words, there are only words, so I wrote them all down.
If I asked you this question what would your answer be. I am a woman who … notice your answer, be kind to yourself and notice what comes up for you.
The answer to my question is, I am a woman who has my own back financially.
What does this look like for me?
This looks like a woman who doesn’t ask permission to purchase the things she wants/needs to support the style of life she has chosen. She is a woman who earns an income that supports herself and her family.
Did you answer the question, I am a woman who … What was your answer?
Take a moment to answer this question, Are you a woman who creates wealth for herself? Are you a woman who takes exquisite care of her body? Are you a woman who eats quality food?
Whatever your I am is, take a moment to think about what that might look like. What will you be feeling?

That was my next question to myself. The feeling I’m looking for by being a woman who has my own back financially is …
To feel empowered to create me the way I want without justification, or explanation. To have the ability to purchase what is important to me.

What is the feeling you are wanting to feel by being a wealthy woman?
Remember everything we do, we do for the feeling or emotion we believe we are going to gain from it.
By answering these three questions you will have begun to identify your destination.

If we are always seeking to move towards or away from an emotion or feeling, it makes sense to figure out what that feeling or emotion is.

In the past I have always tried to move away from situations with the energy of fear, lack and scarcity.
The energy you do something in, is the energy that the result will manifest in.
Ignorance does not stop this principle from working, as I found out.
I kept on changing my actions, but the resulting emotion was always the same. I was never happy, satisfied or content.
No amount of money I earned was enough to wash away the lack, scarcity or fear that lived within me.
I couldn’t buy love, not the genuine accepting love my soul was seeking.
I couldn’t buy worthiness, because worthiness isn’t for sale, it’s a quality we already have.
I couldn’t buy respect, not genuine respect that comes from having a strong character.

Having money and being loved, genuinely loved are two separate entities.
Having money and self-esteem are not the same thing.
Having money and feeling worthy are not tied together, ever. You are worthy, I am worthy because we are human and we exist.
Money doesn’t make you worthy.

If you have a fear that money will make you someone you don’t want to be, I’d say to you, money is an energy exchange.
You exchange your time, your ideas, your creativity, your energy for money.
Money will magnify and enhance who you already are. Money will expand you into more of who you are energetically.
If you live in the energy of fear, lack and scarcity, then money will magnify this energy.
However if you live in the energy of generosity and abundance, then money will also magnify this energy.

Money is an energy, it doesn’t care who it goes to.
It doesn’t care how you use it.
It doesn’t care about right and wrong.
Money is amoral, it is energy, it is up to you how you choose to use it, how you choose to put it to work, how you decide to be with money is how money will be.

I want to encourage you to generate wealth with an abundant energy.

Today’s challenge is to answer the questions above.
I am a woman who …
What does it look like to be this woman?
What feeling are you wanting to gain from being this woman?

If you want help to work your way through these questions, my contact details are below.
Remember everything you do, you do for the feeling you believe you will gain from doing the thing.

Have a fabulous day my friends. Until next time…

The wealthy leave clues for others to follow.
Do you believe this statement?
What are your thoughts around generating wealth for you, and your family?Do you believe you can’t make any more money than you are now?
Why?

Hello, My Friends
Welcome to Episode # 25

I’ve been talking about wealth this week.
As a woman on her journey to being wealthy, I thought I would share my journey so far.
My history with money has been one of neglect, of envy, even hatred.
I grew up in an environment where money was considered to be evil, and those who had money where also evil.
I spent most of my adult life trying to please everyone, being the good girl and not rocking the boat.
So, my beliefs around money were deeply entrenched, actually they are deeply entrenched.
The more I dig into becoming a wealthy woman, the more I am finding beliefs that are not aligned with the identity I am creating.
Which means more sifting and sorting of thoughts that will create what I want, and then following up with actions that will prove to myself that I am indeed becoming a wealthy woman.

What are the thoughts you have around your money?
Some of the things I was taught, and I’m sure these ideas weren’t sown into my life on purpose, in fact I know they weren’t, because I sowed these same seeds in my children’s lives.
And now I get to see the fruits of these beliefs in both their lives and my own.
If I can give you the gift of hindsight and foresight, I’d want to encourage and inspire you to learn about money, the energy around it, the way it can serve you and how you can make it work for you. Now!
Okay, I was taught that money doesn’t grow on trees. For an orchardist it does, for the horticulturist money grows from produce. Paper money was a tree once upon a time.
I was taught that you had to work hard for your money. This one was so inground it took a lot of personal soul searching to define what hard work was.
If you are following something you are passionate about, something that you are gifted at, something that makes your heart sing and it doesn’t feel like hard work, are you worthy of the wealth you can create from it?
Definitely, most hard work, and I’m talking about uninspiring, unsatisfying and unfulfilling work feels like hard work, this type of work tends to drain your energy.
That was the work I decided I didn’t want to do any more. Also I decided that hard work didn’t mean physically hard work, part of the hard work belief was it had to be physical.
Desk work, writing, ‘pen pushing’ was not considered hard work in the family I grew up in.
I write, I sit at a desk, I push a pen nearly every day.
For me to succeed at what I want to do, I had to change the belief. I had to create a new belief that would allow me to generate an income from ‘not working hard.’
I still work on this every single day, learning to make creating wealth easy, finding the easy and fun way to do something.

You can’t be rich and happy.
Happiness is an inside job. If you are not happy with yourself without money, having money will not make you any happier.
Riches will give you more opportunity to buy bigger and better things to distract yourself from your unhappiness, at least for a while. However you feel about yourself, money and wealth will amplify it.

Money is an energy, and it amplifies the energy within you. If you are generous, you are just as likely to continue to be generous. If you are fearful, you are more than likely to be fearful with your money and the way you interact with people.
If you don’t trust people because you believe they are out to take everything from you, you won’t want to create wealth, you will be afraid someone will take it from you. And you probably have a lot of evidence from your past to back this up.

So, what are your money beliefs, these are the obvious ones for me, from the environment I grew up in. What are the obvious ones for the environment you grew up in?
The wealthy leave clues, they leave helping hand holds for all who are wanting to become wealthy.
The thing is we are not trained to see these clues.
Retraining our brain to think from the identity of being a wealthy, happy and healthy woman is where the growth begins.

Using the abundance we have now, we can begin to make a difference in the wealth of our future lives. Selling our brain on the benefit of backing ourselves, and learning to be happy within ourselves is the first step.
The life you are living now was once a long way off in the future, and here you are. What decisions did you make back then that have impacted your wealth capabilities now? Do they serve you? Are you heading in the direction you want to go with your finances?

Knowing where you are is vital to creating a plan to move to where you want to be.

Today’s challenge is to listen to your brain, she will tell you the programmes you learned as a child around wealth generation, and around your belief in your ability to generate wealth.

If you were to meet your Future Self today, what would she say to you?
The You, you are today is the future self of your younger self, if you could go back in time what would you tell your younger self?
Your future self has wisdom for you about now, ask her.

Hello My Friends
Welcome to Episode # 24.

Everything we do, orginates from a thought.
Have you taken the time to think about the thoughts behind your actions?
Most of us don’t, most of us aren’t aware of the thinking that goes into our actions.
Unless we plan in advance our actions, most of us are on autopilot.
This month in our bookclub we have been studying Benjamin Hardy’s book, “Be Your Future Self Now”
This concept is fabulous, my coach introduced me to it a few years ago.
Going through this book chapter by chapter and working through the beliefs that are raised has been helpful to identify what my future self wants.
If you don’t have a goal to reach for, how will you know when you have attained it.
Your future self is part of the goal setting process.

Today I want to talk about one of my Journaling Questions.
What am I currently doing that my future self isn’t doing?
In my imagination I see myself in one year’s time, how do I want to be? What do I want to have achieved?
What am I doing? What will be different and what will be the same?

This is a great question?
Can you imagine yourself in one year’s time?
What do you want to be different? What was your New Year’s Resolution?
Sit with yourself for a moment, let your mind wander, if you could have your achievable hearts desire, what would you want?
One day a week of peace and quiet to relax and reflect on the week just gone, and to plan for the week coming up.
A new pair of shoes, or a dress that suits your body, purchased brand new.
An overseas holiday, camping, hotelling, or something in between.
The joy of using your imagination is that it is in tune with your hearts desires. It knows the secrets you keep buried away from others.
Imagine yourself in one year’s time, where would you be living? What would change and what would remain the same?
What are the objections that come up for you? What are your, yeah, Buts? It is these yeah, buts that are keeping you where you are. These are valuable information.
As a coach the yeah buts, tell me everything about the beliefs hiding in plain sight.
And we all have them, we are often so conditioned to them we don’t see them, until some-one shines a light on them.
So take note of your yeah buts, they are telling you something about why you are not living your dream life now.

What are you currently doing today that your future self is not doing?
If your vision of your future self is slender, and healthy. What are you doing today that she is not doing?
I bet she’s not sitting on the couch binging on movies and over snacking on bikkies and crisps. I bet she knows to stop eating when she feels elegantly satisfied.
Put the question a different way, What is your future self doing, that you are not?
What would happen if you began to do what she is doing today?
You don’t have to be perfect. Perfect is an illusion, just begin.
Every meal you eat, see if you can stop eating when you feel elegantly satisfied.
Make a commitment to your future self, to walk 10 mins everyday. Then when your now self can’t be bothered, remind her that your self one year from now, walks 10mins easily and feels fabulous about it. Then choose to do what your future self would do.
If you ask yourself everyday, What would my future self in one year’s time, do, today in this situation, then you begin to do that, starting where you are. One small action at a time, over the course of a month, or three months you will see and feel a difference.
As you move closer to the woman in your vision, as you begin to act like she does, as you begin to upgrade the tiniest little actions everyday, without pressure or guilt or reproach you will find you become her.
Be kind to the woman you are now, she is doing her best, and as she gets better, her best will also get better.
Give her a chance to prove herself to herself.

What is your future self doing that you are not? What are you currently doing that your future self is not?
Start doing what your future is doing, and Stop doing what your future self is not doing.

New beginnings involve stopping and starting, starting and stopping.
Today’s challenge is to imagine yourself one year from now. What does she look like? What is she doing? Where does she live? How does she handle herself?
Then begin to ask yourself, What is she doing that I’m not, and how can I do that now?

Have a fabulous day my friends. Until next time…

Live your future life, today, one tiny action at a time.

Do you struggle to stay on track with your goals?
Do you begin well then find you lose motivation or feel like you are failing?
Today’s tools will help you to stay on track and feel better about yourself while you’re achieving your goals.

Welcome to Authentic Living Coaching, The Podcast,
I’m your hostess, Linda Codlin

I am a certified life coach, and the founder of Authentic Living Coaching.
I am passionate about helping you to help yourself.
It is my intention that each and every one of us has the
information we need to make the best decisions about the way
we choose to live our lives.
Living life on your terms, and being your authentic self.

Hello My Friends
Welcome to Episode # 23.

Do you indulge in either or thinking?
You are either on your diet or you’re off it.
You are either scrimping and saving or you’re spending with abandon.
You are either exercising or you are not.

The either or way of living is like a pendulum, you are way over to the left, or you are way over to the right.
This is a very tiring way to live.
The thing that makes you tired is the way you think about yourself.
When you are on the wagon, which often means you are doing as you think you are supposed to, you are kinder to yourself. Your self talk is a bit gentler.
Maybe you are just waiting for yourself to fall off the wagon, again.
When you are off the wagon, you jump off completely, you give up on the idea of ever reaching your goal, you speak to yourself in unmentionably mean ways.
After a few times of jumping off the wagon, climbing back on, and falling off again, you begin to feel disheartened and begin to tell yourself, things like…
I’ll never lose this extra weight.
I’ll never save the deposit for a family home.
I’ll always be disorganized.
I’m not worthy of having nice things, I’m not good enough to look good all the time.

When you are speaking to yourself like this, notice how you feel.
Do you feel good about yourself? Do you feel motivated to pick yourself up and go again?
Whenever I speak to myself in this manner, I lose heart, I lose motivation and give up.

Either or thinking will keep you exactly where you are.
Nothing is changing, because you are thinking the same thoughts.
What if you tried on the thought, This is exactly as it is supposed to be, I am learning, sometimes things work out and sometimes I need to grow.

To help you overcome this tendency towards all or nothing thinking, I want to offer you the use of the amazing AND.
Also I want you think about your goal as a process, you gain mastery of the process as you practice it. Sometimes your practice is on target and sometimes it’s not.
The thing is there is no wagon, it is all practice.
The amazing AND is the bridge between either, or. All or nothing.
I can be on my diet, AND I can eat well, AND when I slip I can do a U Turn, without all the mind drama and name calling.
I can save for my goal, AND have money to spend in my budget. Should I break my budget, I can do a U Turn before my finances get away from me, AND feel good about myself for seeing my tendencies.

The amazing AND allows you to be human, to make mistakes and pick yourself up, dust yourself off AND keep moving forward.
The more often you fall over, pick yourself up, AND give yourself grace to be human, to learn a new way of eating, to stick to a new way of viewing money, or whatever your goal is, the easier it is to love yourself into the goal you want to achieve.
It does not work trying to beat yourself up, to become slender, to become a savvy financial woman.
Self reproach is self defeating. Give it up and give yourself grace to be.
Thinking, I may slip from my goal, AND I can pick myself up again easily.
Will get you to your goal faster, you begin to love yourself a little more, you begin to see progress on your goals because you are doing U Turns often.
A U Turn is where you decide to stop the action, or non action you find yourself in, that isn’t helping you to reach your goal. AND you do a Turn around to the action and thoughts that will support you achieving your goal.
You can do a U Turn every time you become aware you have strayed from your plan. Without guilt or shame or any other emotion, knowing that this is normal.
You are just course correcting and learning new skills.
As time passes and you consistently U Turn everytime you notice you have strayed from your goal, you will find you stray less often. That the U Turn action becomes your new normal action with a helpful and supportive attached thought.

Today’s challenge is to pick one area you find you stumble often in trying to reach your goal. Add an AND to it, then do a U Turn to match your AND.

Have a fabulous day my friends. Until next time…

Live your best life, one U Turn at a time, find your authenticity with the amazing AND.

Have you wondered why you didn’t achieve your goals from last year?
Did you ask yourself the question, Why was it even on my list of things I want to achieve?
Often we think we want something until it comes time to actioning it. Then not so much.

Welcome to Episode # 22.

Moving into a New Year can be so tiring.
Over the last few weeks I have been re-evaluating my life, my expectations of myself, my goals.
Where I want to see myself at the end of this year, and why I didn’t make it to the place I wanted to be, this time last year and what will make the difference this year.
I’ve been sitting with the emotions of failing, of not really trying, and wanting to throw in the towel and go back to living a less visible life.

Being successful at being me is not for the faint hearted. It’s a good thing that I am already me.
It is my job to unravel all the false beliefs I have bought into that at this present moment define my life, my actions and my values.

This is true for each of us. You cannot be me, You can not be the person you hold up to having the life you want.
You can be you. You have a kind of blueprint within you. It is this blueprint that guides you.
Only you truly know when you are not living authentically into your own blueprint.
This is when you feel stress, distress, you feel overwhelmed, you feel angry, you name your default emotion.
The truth is you already know what is important to you, however you, like me, may be living in denial. You may be putting the blame of not achieving what you want onto something outside yourself, like your spouse, or your financial situation, or your skill and ability.
When we do this we water down our power, we give our power away to the outside situation.
Authenticity is about owning your decisions, owning your denials, owning how you really feel, the positive, the negative and the neutral emotions.

These last few weeks have been eye opening. The things I have said I want to achieve, but have not even created a plan for, tell me they are not really important to me.
This is where going for a deep dive into my motivation for thinking I should want it to be important to me. Where the notion came from, and does it serve me.
If I continue to pretend that it is important to me, what will the result in my life be?
If I continue to allow myself to shield me from feeling the emotions of the pretence, what will the cost be to my perfect spiritual being-ness?
If I admit to myself that this particular thing isn’t important to me, and I drop it from my life, what will be the result in my life?
What will the fallout be?
What uncomfortable emotions am I going to have to face?
Am I willing to admit to myself first that there are some goals and values that do not resonate with my soul?

This my friend is the path of authenticity, it is being open to being truthful to yourself.
Part of my discovering the goals and projects I want to achieve this year has been to ask myself the question WHY?
Why do I want this?
Why am I willing to go through the hard times to attain this goal?
Why? Why? Why?
What do I believe I will gain from following through on attaining this goal? Why is this important to me?
Answer the seven why’s.
Keep asking why to every answer you give yourself.
The deeper you go, the closer you will get to your purpose and your true values.
When you can not answer why, keep asking, your marvelous brain has the answer, it needs you to be serious about finding out why.

Once you feel you have gotten to the truth of why you want your goal or desire, you get to ask yourself the final question.
Am I willing to do what needs to be done to get this done?
If your response is ‘no’ you get to walk away without any guilt from the goal that doesn’t suit you.
However if your goal is a resounding ‘yes’ you get to decide to step onto the path that this goal is going to take you on.
No second guessing, make the decision, make a broad plan on what needs to happen, then fill in the details. Write out your plans as if you had to explain them to someone from another galaxy.
Be detailed. Plan your outcomes, plan the results you want, and plan the tasks down to the tiniest detail.
Then begin to mark off your tasks. And create your goal, make it your reality.

My friends being you, being who you know you are meant to be is the best feeling ever.
Self exploration of what you like, what you don’t like, how you see yourself being and believing you can be that, is the unfolding of your authentic self. You are the only one who truly knows who are, and how far you can go in your life.
Don’t allow anyone to tell you are someone less than you are.
Don’t compare yourself to anyone else, ever, and especially never in a way that makes you feel not good enough.
Take the time to get to know you, to water your dreams, to try out new experiences, to find what makes your heart sing.
Make this the year you discover more of the hidden aspects of you.

Today’s challenge is to find one goal you thought you wanted last year, and didn’t follow through on. Ask yourself the seven why’s? Why didn’t I do this? Why….? And keep answering and asking your own questions.

What would you body say to you, if it had the opportunity to voice how it feels about your relationship with yourself?
Today’s Podcast is about this.
Listening to what your body has to say, is part of gaining control of your life.

Click the link below for this weeks podcast.

Welcome to Authentic Living Coaching, The Podcast,
I’m your hostess, Linda Codlin

I am a certified life coach, and the founder of Authentic Living Coaching.

It is my intention that each and every one of us has the
information we need to make the best decisions about the way we choose to live our lives.

Living life on your terms, and being your authentic self.

Hello, My Friends
Welcome to Episode # 21

The new year is fast approaching, are you one of the many of us who are beginning to plan what the next year will look and feel like.
Do you write out a plan for who you want to be on 31st Dec 2023?
This is me, I choose a word of the year, that acts as a filter for the decisions I make throughout the year.
I reflect on the year coming to a close, I figure out what I did well, what I did for the first time, and what I didn’t do so well and investigate why this was so.

Part of this year as for every year I can remember, one of my goals is to take better care of my body.
And each year I am getting better, verbal abuse is almost always captured before it is allowed to run riot.
Eating for health and well-being is settling into a healthful rhythm, overeating is becoming less, as I clean and clear out the bottled emotions from my past, the need to eat diminishes.
Moving my body for well-being is also more for well-being than for weight management.
There are still areas I fail to love my body in, and these are on the agenda to be investigated and updated.

While I was perusing my Facebook groups, a post popped into my line of sight.
I am going to share it here with you. This spoke to me as my sweet toothedness and my body often have heated discussions over taste.
My intention is that it will get you thinking about your relationship with your body.

A sweet Love Letter to my Body
My dear sweet body,
First of all I’m Sorry.
I have called you fat.
I have called you worthless.
I have looked in the mirror and wanted you different.

I have eaten food, but tasted guilt.
I have looked for joy, but swallowed sadness.
I have looked for comfort and starved you instead.

From this day on,
I wish everyday to be a celebration,
To enjoy the miracle that is you: My Body.
To nourish you with wonderful delicious food,
To fill you with the sweetness of life.

And as we sit quietly together,
As my heart and Mind love you gently,
Over a plate of Nature’s Candy.
I will celebrate your sweet tooth naturally.

And Every day, in more and more ways.

Letter written by Chef Cynthia Louise.

As I went to write to my own body my letter of love, my body interrupted me and shared her point of view of the way I love my body.

This is a bit raw and maybe personal, authenticity is a bit like that, it’s not always nice or pleasant to hear.
So hear goes.
My body’s love letter to me.

To my owner, operator.

Before you start to tell me how much you love me, I’d like the opportunity to share with you my point of view.

I hear you say you love me,
and yet you ignore me.
You ignore me when I tell you “I’m Thirsty” and need water, not fizzy sugary drinks.
You ignore me when I tell you what I need to eat to function at my best, and still you reach for your favourite unsatisfying foods.
Just because it claims to be healthy or natural is not the same as what I need to function as my optimum.
You ignore me when I tell you I need sleep, by claiming resting while scrolling is good enough.
You ignore me when I’m feeling lethargic and need to go for a walk or a run, you claim you are too tired to move.

You say you love me, and then frown at me in the mirror.
You say you want to look good and then dress me in clothes that don’t suit me.
You say you want better health, to move without pain, and yet you refuse to seek medical help that will make my life easier.

I hear you say you love me, and still you don’t respect me.
I find myself in situations that break my heart.
I find myself crying on the inside, while you put a happy face on the outside.
I find myself feeling emotions that never get recognised.
I find myself alone in my body.

If you really love me, show me some respect.
If you really love me, listen when I speak.
If you really love me, accept me as I am.
If you really love me. Love me, take care of me, nurture me.

All I want is to be treated with dignity, thought and care.

From your overworked and under appreciated body.

What can I say? I am humbled by the words that my body is expressing.

In reply I wrote my Love Letter to my body.

To my dearest hard working, ever present body.

I am sorry, I have lied to you, every year I promise we will get healthier, and every year we remain more or less the same.
I’m sorry, I have not appreciated you as much as I could, with my thoughts, my actions and my spirit.
Forgive me for all the ill treatment you have endured over the years at my negligent hands.
Forgive my foolishness in thinking I knew what you needed, rather than listening to you.
I really do love you. Learning to trust you, respect you and honour you is part of my spiritual growth.
Thank you for being honest with me.
Thank you for supporting me, keeping me alive, and functioning, even in times of neglect and abuse.
Thank you for being strong and carrying me when I wanted to give up.
Thank You for being the fabulous self healing miraculous vessel you are.

It is my pledge to you, my body.
That I am willing to make better choices with the food I eat, the water I drink and the amount of sleep I have.
It is my pledge to you, my body, That I am willing to learn and listen intuitively to how you need me to love you.
It is my pledge to you, my body, To respect you, to dress you in a way that compliments you, to take care of you in a way that honours you.

I promise that when I fail, and I will, now and then. That I have the courage to turn around and investigate what happened and why, to pick myself up and trust that together we can make this body a safe place to live in.
Each small step we take together, hand in hand, my body, my spirit and my mind working in unision, the more united we become, the more authentic we become.

I Love you, I look you in the eye in the mirror and wink at you, blowing you a kiss and thank you for your honesty.

Linda.

Your challenge for today is to get real and honest with your body.
Where are you in your relationship with your body?
Do you let her run around like a spoiled child? Or do you have her locked down so tight she doesn’t have room to breath and be herself?
Do you have areas that are better cared for than others? The reason why is as important as the action being taken.
Look at why you do what you do with your body, is it from love or from fear.

Have a fabulous day my friends.
Until next time.. Find ways to nourish your body, to listen to your body, to move a little more, to sleep a little more. Uncover your authenticity with your body. Your body is unique, and you are the only one that has the manual to have it healthy and strong.

information we need to make the best decisions about the way we choose to live our lives.

Living life on your terms, and being your authentic self.

Hello, My Friends
Welcome to Episode # 20

Everything comes from the way we think and perceive life to be.
If we believe life is out to get us that is what we see and receive.
This week I want to encourage you to take an honest look at what influences your perception.
Who do you listen to? What do you watch when you’re scrolling through social media platforms? What type of books do you read?
Who have you been believing about who you are?

All the inputs we receive from our environment, society, family, culture and religions are influencing the way we think.
We live in a society that has more visual stimuation, more audio stimulation, and more sensory stimulation than ever before.
We are tuned into events that are happening in parts of the world that were once only pictures in books.

Apparently our brain only processes a small fraction of the information coming at us. If it didn’t we would be constantly running on adrenaline, and fearing for our lives.
What happens to the information that our brain screens out as unimportant data?
It slides into our subconscious mind, unquestioned, unchallenged.
Have you ever wondered about why you do some of the things you do?
Part of it is the unquestioned influences that you have taken on board, through your subconscious mind.

I read a post yesterday that got me thinking. It said something like Why were we taught to be afraid of the witches being burned at the stake, and not the people doing the burning.
Never thought of that before.
Challenged my perspective.
Who was doing more harm?

This is an example of the beliefs and hidden thoughts that reside in our brains, unchallenged, how can we challenge something we don’t even know exists?

Becoming mindful of what you are watching on the television, on social media platforms and other visual means, is one way to reduce the unfiltered agendas of other people.
Every person, posting a video, creating a movie, writing a book, or speaking to you, teaching or training you has an agenda.
They want to give something to you, for you to give something to them, or to influence you in some way.

I am no different, I want to challenge you to challenge your thinking.
To look at what you take for granted, to investigate the hidden messages behind the obvious messages.
Filter out the information that makes you feel bad, makes you think that you need to be a certain way to be acceptable.
Learn to figure out who you are, and how to follow your hearts desire.
It is my belief that we are never given a dream or a desire without the ability to make it reality.
It is also my belief that we have everything we need, within us.
We only have to seek. We only have to be willing and strong enough to follow the promptings we receive from our inner selves.
It is my belief that as human beings we are always wanting to do better, to be better, to achieve more and this is fantastic. This is how society and communities expand and grow.
As a society in general we are better off materially now than we were 70 years ago.
How much better off will we be because of the idea brewing in your soul.

Today’s challenge is to investigate what is influencing your thinking, and is it helping you to expand your horizons.

Have a fabulous day my friends.
Until next time.. Investigate your authentic desires, follow the ideas that will expand you as a person and monitor how what you expose yourself to makes you feel.

How honest are you with yourself?
Knowing who you are, includes being brutally honest with what is working and what isn’t working for you.
Nothing changes until and unless we admit to ourselves that something needs to change.
Honesty shows willingness.

I am passionate about helping you to help yourself.
It is my intention that each and every one of us has the
information we need to make the best decisions about the way we choose to live our lives.

Living life on your terms, and being your authentic self.

Hello, My Friends
Welcome to Episode # 19

Honesty. This has been on my mind, and in the fore of my thinking for a while.
Getting honest about me, who I am right now, and what my life is like right now, what is working and what isn’t.
Since everything is an expression of who I am portraying, the energy I am living in and the thoughts I am thinking.
It makes sense to me to question the authenticity of my actions.
I’ve begun with my actions, because they are obvious, the results are plain to see, both to myself and to others.
My results are a direct revelation of my actions.
The actions I have taken. By looking honestly at my results, removing my rose tinted glasses, removing all the excuses and reasons why I’m not where I want to be and doing what I think I should be doing, I am getting a better picture of my ‘reality’.
Honesty is important, you and I can not change anything in our lives until we have admitted to ourselves that something isn’t working as we want.

Before I became ill with the virus, I was so proud of myself for not eating refined sugars, and flours. My reasoning was, I’m much healthier and happier without these products.
When I became ill, I turned to the comfort of food to help me to feel better. There is no better comfort food than refined sugar and flour products for making you feel better.
Apparently that was my thinking. Since then, I haven’t quite shaken the desire and delight in eating these foods.
As I was journaling around the bad feelings I was having towards myself in eating these foods, and the cycle I had jumped back into of eating for emotional comfort, then feeling bad and mentally beating myself up, (Kindly, but still judging) which compounded the feelings.
I asked myself the questions, why do I really want to eat refined sugar and flour free? what am I getting out of being refined food free?
Then for each answer I’d ask the same question again until I got to the honest truth of why I wanted to be refined food free.
The real reason was not the obvious health benefits, or the physical sensations of well-being, or the weight loss I was hoping for, the real reason was emotional, it was societal and it shocked me.

If the energy with which I do anything is how that thing is working in my life, or in the results I am getting. No wonder I was feeling stressed and under duress.
No wonder the weight I wanted released, hadn’t been released.
Cleaning up my truthful reason for not eating a certain food, and accepting that the true reason I was doing it has brought me peace. An acceptance of where I am and that I’m okay.

This is still a work in progress, and I’m enjoying the freedom of eating without guilt or shame.
Food is an energy, we can bless this energy, and ask it to work for us instead of against us.
We can relax around food, take the drama, and the emotional tension out of eating.
Are you feeling tense around food? Are you fearful that you’ll fall off your diet wagon? Are you waiting for the holiday season to be over to get on a new wagon?

What if you accepted yourself as you are?
What if without judgment or condemnation you acknowledged you are the size you are, and you are okay? What would happen? What do you think will happen?
Are you afraid that if you acknowledge where you are in all honesty that you’ll give yourself permission to be like this forever?
Would that be so bad? Why do you think it would be so bad?
Are these your thoughts or someone elses? Where did these thoughts come from? Are they serving you?
Do these thoughts bring you peace and joy around your body? Your results?

When I am brutally honest with myself and what makes me happy, truly happy, with lasting joy and peace. I gain clarity around the things I am thinking, doing and getting, and the energy that is motivating and manifesting itself in my results.

So, stepping a little closer to Christmas, find a quiet space to do a little inner reflecting on the results you have in your life and ask the question, Does this result make me feel happy and peaceful?
What do I feel about this result? Does this result serve me? How can I love this result now, even before it changes? How can I accept this situation as it is without judgment and shame?
Dig into the secret spaces of your soul, where your truth sits.
Remember everything we do, we do for the feeling (energy) we believe we will gain from doing, having or being the result we want.

Today’s challenge is to find acceptance of yourself, wherever you are, whatever your body shape and size, whatever your financial situation, whatever your relationship status and know you are loved and okay as you are, right now.
Have a fabulous day my friends.
Until next time.. Seek your authentic truth, unfold and uncover your hidden truth and wisdom.

Are you organised for the Christmas season?
Do have the expectations of creating a ‘perfect’ Christmas?
Systems make life easier, do you have a system to help you manage your time, your tasks, and your emotions?

Click the link below for this weeks podcast.

Welcome to Authentic Living Coaching, The Podcast,
I’m your hostess, Linda Codlin

I am a certified life coach, and the founder of Authentic Living Coaching.
I am passionate about helping you to help yourself.
It is my intention that each and every one of us has the
information we need to make the best decisions about the way we choose to live our lives.

Living life on your terms, and being your authentic self.

Hello, My Friends
Welcome to Episode # 18

The first week in December is coming to a close, lets do a little emotional check in.
How are you feeling?
Are you feeling a little bit anxious, a little bit overwhemed, or a lot anxious or a lot overwhelmed.
Or maybe you are feeling like you’ve got this, like you are on top of the Christmas, your organizational systems are working for you.

As you may already know I’m a strong believer that our thoughts create the way we feel, which then create the way we act, which directly impacts the results we get.
Underneath all of this are your beliefs, there will be a few core beliefs that over-ride or undermind your best intentions.

In Monday’s Blog I mentioned our Self-Esteem and how that can impact our results.
Today I want to talk about systems.
Systems are the physical things we do. These also impact on our results.
You can have the most positive thinking, and intentions, but without actions they don’t have any legs, and won’t take you anywhere you want to go.
You will end up exactly where you are, but with a great attitude.

You are already operating in a system. Everything you do is a system of some type.
The question is, “Is the system you are using, working out for you?”
If you are feeling stressed, overwhelmed or anxious, I would guess that there are areas that could be improved.

As a tidy bug I work well with lists and systems.
House cleaning is broken into areas and days. Each day I have certain tasks to accomplish. Each of these tasks take no longer than 15 mins.
As I have become more diligent at following this system, my home is always tidy, mostly clean and I feel in control. Also I am not worn out looking at the unfinished tasks that may be attracting my attention because I know they are captured in my plan.
This plan has taken me a life time to perfect, for me.
I began using a cleaning plan when my children were babies. I knew a plan worked, what I didn’t have was the confidence to create my own plan. It was my belief that I wasn’t good enough or clever enough to create my own plan, and follow it. So I was always feeling dictated to by someone else, who didn’t have four preschool children messing up the place as soon as I’d tidied it.
I would try, I would begin, I would fail and beat myself up, telling myself all the mean lies, that I was useless as a mother, that I was a terrible housekeeper, that my kids would grow up not knowing how to be tidy.
And none of these things I said made me any better at what I wanted to achieve, they just reinforced that there was no point trying.

Have you ever felt like this? Trying to live you life some one else’s way and not quite getting it.
When I decided to create my own system, I began with the list of things I wanted to accomplish. Long, long lists of to do items.
So overwhelming, I’d never get started. Also what I uncovered was the thoughts underneath the lists was, it had to be perfect, it had to be hard, and it couldn’t be fun.
As I cleared up the belief around systems and lists, I began clearing up the thoughts about needing other people’s approval, having to keep a ‘perfect’ guest ready house at all times, and the idea of cleaning having to take ages, be hard and messy.
What belief are you holding onto around your systems, your self-esteem toward the holiday period, and the standard your home ‘has’ to be?
Are these actually your systems, your standards, and your ideals? Or have you borrowed some one else’s and are trying to make you fit them.
What if you made up your own systems? Easy to fulfill systems, Easy to keep up with systems that provide you with what you really want.
Do you even know what you want for yourself from this season of the year?
What would your ideal Christmas look and feel like? What would you stop doing? What would you do more of?
This is personal for you, it may look different to your neighbour, it may be different to your Mother, your daughter or your spouse.
Creating your own system for this time of the year, may include borrowing aspects of other people’s plans, twisting and tweeking them to fit your personality, your style and your family needs.
Then as you put the system in place by adding your energy to the required action, remember the way you talk to yourself about each task has an impact on the way you feel about the task.
You can make cleaning the oven fun, you can make wiping the ceiling part of your weekly plan and make it enjoyable.
You can change the way you think about any of the tasks you put in your system.

If you want a copy of my system, email me on authenticlivingwithlinda@gmail.com remember this system has been created by me for me. It works for me because I have built it into my routine.
Your system must meet your requirements, and fit into your routine, otherwise it won’t work, and you’ll end up feeling even more frustrated.

The challenge for today is to look at the systems that are running in your home, ask Yourself, “Are these systems working for me?”
“How can I tweek them to suit me and my situation better? ” Then begin to follow through on your ideas.

Have a fabulous day my friends. Until next time…
