THE POWER TEST – SERMON

GENESIS 41

October 23, 2022

__________________________

Genesis 41:14 “Pharaoh sent for Joseph at once, and he was quickly brought from the prison.”

We will need to remember…

#1. THE SOURCE OF POWER

Genesis 41:15 “Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I had a dream last night, and no one here can tell me what it means. But I have heard that when you hear about a dream you can interpret it.” 16”It is beyond my power to do this,” Joseph replied. “But God can tell you what it means and set you at ease.”

Psalm 62:11 “God has spoken plainly, and I have heard it many times: Power, O God, belongs to you.”

John 19:11 Then Jesus said, “You would have no power over me unless it were given to you from above.”

2 Peter 1:3 "His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and goodness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence."

Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes."

1 Corinthians 1:18 "For the word of the cross if folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."

#2. THE PATH TO POWER

James 4:10 “Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord and he will life you up.”

1 Peter 5:5-6 “Likewise younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility. For God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” 6 Therefore humble yourselves under the might hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time."

Romans 8:13 "For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live."

#3. THE REASON FOR POWER

Acts 10:38 "And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.”

Deuteronomy 8:17-18 "17You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” 18But remember the Lordyour God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today."

THE PROPHETIC TEST – SERMON

PSALM 105

OCTOBER 16, 2022

_________________________

Psalm 105:16-19 And He called for a famine upon the land [of Egypt]; He cut off every source of bread.17He sent a man before them, Joseph, who was sold as a slave.18His feet they hurt with shackles; He was put in chains of iron,19Until the time that his word [of prophecy regarding his brothers] came true, The word of the LORD tested and refined him.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness,17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

John 16:13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.

#1. THE PROPHETIC IS PARTIAL

1 Corinthians 13:9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part.

#2. THE PROPHETIC MUST BE JUDGED

1 Corinthians 14:29 Let two or three people prophesy, and let the others evaluate what is said.

PRACTICAL (GO-TO) PRINCIPLES:

  • DOES IT EDIFY?
  • DOES IT AGREE WITH SCRIPTURE?
  • DOES IT GLORIFY JESUS?
  • DOES IT BEAR GOOD FRUIT?
  • DID IT COME TRUE?
  • DOES IT BRING A SENSE OF FREEDOM, PEACE, and CONFIDENCE?
  • DOES IT BRING FRESH LIFE?
  • DOES YOUR SPIRIT BEAR WITNESS?

#3. PROPHETIC WORDS ARE TO BE HELD BY FAITH.

1 Thessalonians 5:19 Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast to what is good.

1 Timothy 1:18-20 This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage good warfare, 19 having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck, 20 of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme.

THE PERSEVERANCE TEST – SERMON

GENESIS 39:13-23

SEPTEMBER 23, 2022

_________________________________

#1. WE ALL GET THROWN INTO PRISON

Hebrews 12:2b-4 "Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. 3Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up. 4After all, you have not yet given your lives in your struggle against sin."

#2. LOOK FOR THE OPPORTUNITY

Genesis 39:20-23 20"So he took Joseph and threw him into the prison where the king’s prisoners were held, and there he remained. 21But the LORD was with Joseph in the prison and showed him his faithful love. And the LORD made Joseph a favorite with the prison warden. 22Before long, the warden put Joseph in charge of all the other prisoners and over everything that happened in the prison. 23The warden had no more worries, because Joseph took care of everything. The LORD was with him and caused everything he did to succeed."

James 1:2 "Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy."

2 Corinthians 3:17 “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is LIBERTY”

Psalm 16:11 "You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever. And in HIM there is fullness of Joy."

Romans 5:3-5 3"We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love."

#3. TRIALS HELP US DEVELOP ENDURANCE.

#4. ENDURANCE DEVELOPS STRENGTH of CHARACTER

Romans 5:4 4"And endurance develops strength of character,"

James 1:3-43"because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."

Genesis 40:12-15 12“This is what the dream means,” Joseph said. “The three branches represent three days. 13Within three days Pharaoh will lift you up and restore you to your position as his chief cup-bearer. 14And please remember me and do me a favor when things go well for you. Mention me to Pharaoh, so he might let me out of this place.

THE PURITY TEST – SERMON

GENESIS 39: (6b)7-12

SEPTEMBER 18, 2022

_______________________

1 Corinthians 6:18 "Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body."

IMMORALITY is a CHARCTER ISSUE.

#1. WHERE DOES IMPURITY BEGIN?

Psalm 101:3 "I will set nothing wicked before my eyes…"

Proverbs 27:20 "Hell and Destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied."

Matthew 5:28 "but I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart."

Matthew 6:22 “Your eye is like a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is filled with light.”

#2. HOW DO WE DEAL WITH IMPURITY?

Matthew 5:27-28 “You have heard the commandment that says, ‘You must not commit adultery. 28But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart."

Isaiah 53:5 "But he was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities."

Mark 7:21 "For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery…"

#3. IMPURITY WILL AFFECT YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.

James 1:14-16 “But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15 The, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. 16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren."

#4. IMPURITY WILL AFFECT YOUR FUTURE.

Genesis 39:10 “She kept putting pressure on Joseph day after day, but he refused to sleep with her, and he kept out of her way as much as possible.”

1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

THE POTIPHAR TEST – SERMON

GENESIS 39:1-6

SEPTEMBER 11, 2022

_________________________

Genesis 39:23 “The keeper of the prison did not look into anything that was under Joseph’s authority, because the Lord was with him; and whatever he did, the Lord made it prosper.”

Jeremiah 29:11For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Deuteronomy 29:9 "Therefore keep the words of this covenant, and do them, that you may prosper in all that you do."

3 John 2 "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."

The First Key to Prospering is…

#1. THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD.

Genesis 39:2 “The Lord was with Joseph so he succeeded (PROSPERED) in everything he did as he served in the home of his Egyptian master."

2 Kings 18:7 "The Lord was with him (HEZEKIAH); he prospered wherever he went. And he rebelled against the King of Assyria and did not serve him."

#2. THE KEY TO THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD IS OBEDIENCE

2 Chronicles 17:3-4 "Now the Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the former ways of his father David; he did not seek the Baals, 4 But sought the God of his father, and walked in His commandments and not according to the acts of Israel."

1 Samuel 18:12 "Now Saul was afraid of David, because the Lord was with him, but had departed from Saul"

1 Samuel 18:14 "And David behaved wisely in all his ways, and the Lord was with him."

Isaiah 1:19-20 "If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; 20 But if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword, for the mouth of the LORD has spoken."

Deuteronomy 11:26-28 “Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse: 27 the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you today; 28 and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside from the way which I command you today, to go after other gods which you have not known."

Job 36:11-12 "If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. 12 But if they do not obey, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge."

Genesis 4:16 "Then Cain went out from the presence of the Lord."

Psalm 51:11 "Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me."

#3. THE KEY TO OBEDIENCE IS FAITH

1 Thessalonians 5:17 “PRAY without CEASING.”

Hebrews 3:18-19 "And to whom was God speaking when he took an oath that they would never enter his rest? Wasn’t it the people who disobeyed him? 19 So we see that because of their unbelief they were not able to enter his rest."

#4. THE KEY TO FAITH IS HEARING THE WORD.

THE PIT TEST – SERMON

GENESIS 37:12-24

SEPTMBER 4, 2022

_______________________

#1. WHAT IS THE REASON FOR THE PIT?

  • It is possible that you have the PROBEM and that you’re the reason that you’re in the PIT.

Genesis 37:18 "When Joseph’s brothers saw him coming, they recognized him in the distance. As he approached, they made plans to kill him."

Romans 11:29 "For God’s gifts and his call can never be withdrawn."

Matthew 23:12 "But those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted."

#2. LIES OF THE PIT

Revelation 12:10 says, “he (Satan) is the accuser of the brethren”

Genesis 37:31-33 "So they took Joseph’s tunic, killed a kid of goats, and dipped the tunic in the blood. 32 Then they sent the tunic of many colors, and they brought it to their father and said, “We have found this. Do you know whether it is your son’s tunic or not?” 33 And he recognized it and said, “It is my son’s tunic. A wild beast has devoured him. Without a doubt Joseph is torn to pieces.”

#3. THE PURPOSE OF THE PIT?

The purpose of the pit test is to get us to cry out to God.

Isaiah 26:9 "For when Your judgments are in the earth, The inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness."

Isaiah 9:17 "Therefore the Lord will have no joy in their young men, Nor have mercy on their fatherless and widows; For everyone is a hypocrite and an evildoer, And every mouth speaks folly. For all this His anger is not turned away, But His hand is stretched out still."

#1. GOD HAS A PROMISE FOR YOU

#2. HOW CAN WE KNOW GOD’S PROMISE?

Numbers 12:6-8 Then he said, “hear now my words: If there is a prophet among you, I the Lord, make Myself know to him in a vision; I speak to him, in a dream 7 Not so with my servant Moses; he is faithful in all My house, 8 I speak with him face to face, even plainly, and not in dark sayings; and he sees the form of the Lord. DIVINE SATISFACTION – SERMON

PSALM 103

AUGUST 21, 2022

____________________________

#1. WHAT IS SATISFACTION?

Psalm 32:9 (KJV) "Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee."

James 3:2-3 "For we stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in WORD, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body. Indeed, we put bits in horses’ mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body."

#2. WHO SATISFIES?

Proverbs 14:14 (NKJ) "The backslider in heart will be filled with his own ways, But a good man will be satisfied from above."

Ecclesiastes 5:10 "He who loves silver will not be satisfied with silver nor he who loves abundance with increase."

Psalm 145:16 "You open your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing."

#3. WHAT IS THE RESULT OF SATISFACTION?

Proverbs 30:11-16 11There is a generation that curses its father, And does not bless its mother. 12There is a generation that is pure in its own eyes, Yet is not washed from its filthiness. 13There is a generation—oh, how lofty are their eyes! And their eyelids are lifted up. 14There is a generation whose teeth are like swords, And whose fangs are like knives, To devour the poor from off the earth, And the needy from among men. 15The leech has two daughters—Give and Give! There are three things that are never satisfied, Four never say, “Enough!”: 16The grave, The barren womb, The earth that is not satisfied with water—And the fire never says, “Enough!”

#4. HOW DO YOU RECEIVE SATISFACTION?

Isaiah 53:11 "He shall see the labor of his soul and be satisfied."

OUR MISSION: Bringing the LOVE and TRANSFORMING POWER of Christ to all people.

OUR VISION: Seeing people SAVED, SET-FREE from the bondage of sin, and GROWING every day in their walk with the Lord.

#1. SEE PEOPLE SAVED

LUKE 4:18 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor."

Isaiah 59:12-20 "For our sins are piled up before God and testify against us. 13We know we have rebelled and have denied the LORD. We have turned our backs on our God. We know how unfair and oppressive we have been, carefully planning our deceitful lies. 14Our courts oppose the righteous, and justice is nowhere to be found. Truth stumbles in the streets, and honesty has been outlawed. 15Yes, truth is gone, and anyone who renounces evil is attacked. The LORD looked and was displeased to find there was no justice. 16He was amazed to see that no one intervened to help the oppressed. So he himself stepped in to save them with his strong arm, and his justice sustained him. 17He put on righteousness as his body armor and placed the helmet of salvation on his head. He clothed himself with a robe of vengeance and wrapped himself in a cloak of divine passion. 18He will repay his enemies for their evil deeds. His fury will fall on his foes. He will pay them back even to the ends of the earth. 19In the west, people will respect the name of the LORD; in the east, they will glorify him. For he will come like a raging flood tide driven by the breath of the LORD. 20“The Redeemer will come to Jerusalem to buy back those in Israel who have turned from their sins,” says the LORD."

Romans 10:13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth and the life, No one comes to the FATHER except through me.”

1 Corinthians 12:13 "For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body."

#2. SET-FREE (from the Bondage of Sin)

LUKE 4:18 "He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released,"

John 8:31-34 Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. 32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” 33 “But we are descendants of Abraham,” they said. “We have never been slaves to anyone. What do you mean, ‘You will be set free’? 34 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin."

Luke 10:19 "I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy ; and nothing will harm you."

#3. GROWING

Luke 4:18b "that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free,"

DIVINE CROWNS – SERMON

PSALM 103; ROMANS 5

AUGUST 7, 2022

________________________

#1. WHAT IS A DIVINE CROWN?

Matthew 7:28-29 “When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, 29 for he taught with real authority – quite unlike their teachers of religious law.”

Matthew 28:18 "And Jesus came and spoke to them saying, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and earth.”

John 13:3 "Jesus knew that the Father had given him authority over everything and that he had come from God and would return to God."

#2. WHY ARE WE CROWNED?

Romans 5:21 "So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Romans 5:17 "For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ."

Revelation 5:9-10 “And they sang a new song with these words: “You are worthy to take the scroll and break its seals and open it. For you were slaughtered, and your blood has ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. 10 And you have caused them to become a Kingdom of priests for our God. And they will reign on the earth.”

#3. WITH WHAT ARE WE CROWNED?

Psalm 103:4b “Who CROWNS me with LOVE and TENDER MERCIES.”

Matthew 9:13 Jesus said to them, “Now go and learn the meaning of this scripture: I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.”

Psalm 25:6 "Remember, O Lord, your tender mercies and your loving kindness."

Psalm 40:11 "Do not withhold your tender mercies from me O Lord; let your lovingkindness and your truth continually preserve me."

Psalm 51:1 “Have mercy upon me, O God, according to your loving-kindness, according to the multitude of your tender mercies."

Mark 15:16 “Then the soldiers led Him away into the hall called Praetorium, and they called together the whole garrison, and they clothed Him with a purple robe, and they twisted a crown of thorns and put it on His head and began to salute Him, “Hail, king of the Jews.” Then they struck Him on the head with a reed and spat on him, and bowing the knee, they worshipped him. And when they had mocked Him, they took the purple robe off him, put His own clothes on Him and led Him out to crucify Him.”

DIVINE REDEMPTION – SERMON

PSALM 103

JULY 31, 2022

__________________________________

BENEFIT of REDEPTION:

#1. AGORAZO

Revelation 5:9 “And they sang a new song with these words: “You are worthy to take the scroll and break its seals and open it. For you were slaughtered, and your blood has RANSOMED people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation."

Philippians 2:6-11 Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. 7Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, 8 He humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.9 Therefore, [BECAUSE HE DID THAT] God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name that is above all other names, 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

#2. EXAGORAZO

Galatians 3:13 "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us."

Romans 7:14 We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin.

Hosea 3:1-2 Then the Lord said to me, “Go and love your wife again, even though she commits adultery with another lover. This will illustrate that the Lord still loves Israel, even though the people have turned to other gods and love to worship them.2 I bought her back for fifteen pieces of silver and five bushels of barley and a measure of wine."

#3. LUTROSIS

Hebrews 9:12 “With his own blood – not the blood of goats and calves – he entered the Most Holy Place once for all time and secured our redemption forever "

#4. APOLUTROSIS

Ephesians 1:7 "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace"

Galatians 4:7 “Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.”

Here’s WHAT I’m TELLING YOU:

  • Jesus entered the MARKET PLACE of SLAVES.
  • Jesus Christ, the Son of God, BECAME A SLAVE so that we could be redeemed out of the SLAVE MARKET.
  • He PAID the FULL PRICE for US, (but he didn’t just buy us,)
  • He returned us to our ORIGNIAL state, which are SONS and DUGHTERS of the MOST HIGH GOD!

Luke 3:38 “Kenan was the son of Enosh. Enosh was the son of Seth. Seth was the son of Adam. Adam was the son of God."

1 Corinthians 15:45 “The scripture tells us the first man, Adam, became a living person. But the last Adam, this is Christ, is a life-giving spirit.”

Faith for Discouraging Times with Pastor Mike Taylor

Hebrews 12:18-29

Sunday, July 24th

1.) Approach God with Boldness!

  • Mt. Sinai is a picture of God’s holiness and might.
  • Mt. Zion is a picture of God’s mercy and grace.

Hebrews 4:16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”

The benefits of Mt. Zion

  1. We are in a relationship with God.
  2. A picture of worship .
  3. We have eternal salvation.
  4. We are accepted by God.
  5. Our loved ones are in heaven.
  6. Jesus has defeated sin, death and the devil.
  7. We are forgiven of all our sins.

Four viewpoints of End Times:

  1. Amillenialism – No Millenium
  2. Postmillennialism – World will improve
  3. Premillennialism – Traditional Christian view
  4. Dispensationalism – Church raptured before the Tribulation

Revelation 20:4 “Then I saw thrones, and the people sitting on them had been given the authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony about Jesus and for proclaiming the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his statue, nor accepted his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They all came to life again, and they reigned with Christ for a thousand years.”

2.) Listen to God

Hebrews 12:25“Be careful that you do not refuse to listen to the One who is speaking. For if the people of Israel did not escape when they refused to listen to Moses, the earthly messenger, we will certainly not escape if we reject the One who speaks to us from heaven!”

Word meanings:

  1. Be careful – this is a warning and it means to pay close attention, to discern mentally, observe, perceive, discover, understand.
  2. Do not refuse – means don’t choose to ignore or reject any of God’s Words to you …
  3. Who is speaking – Notice that God is presently speaking.

John 10:27“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”

3.) Hold on to Jesus

Hebrews 12:26-27 “When God spoke from Mount Sinai his voice shook the earth, but now he makes another promise: “Once again I will shake not only the earth but the heavens also.”[a] 27 This means that all of creation will be shaken and removed, so that only unshakable things will remain.”

Haggai 2:6-7“For this is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: In just a little while I will again shake the heavens and the earth, the oceans and the dry land. 7 I will shake all the nations, and the treasures of all the nations will be brought to this Te

DIVINE HEALING – SERMON

PSALM 103; ISAIAH 53

JULY 17, 2022

__________________________

Luke 6:17b-19 NLT “There were people from all over Judea and from Jerusalem and from as far north as the seacoasts of Tyre and Sidon. 18 They had come to hear him and to be healed of their diseases; and those troubled by evil spirits were healed. 19 Everyone tried to touch him, because healing power went out from him, and he healed everyone.

There is NOT a DISPENSATION of GOD’S BENEFITS

#1. WHY…?

Isaiah 53:5 (NKJ) “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His striped we are healed.”

1 Peter 2:24 "Who himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness by whose stripes you were healed."

ISAIAH 53:4 (Amplified) “But [in fact] He has borne our griefs and He has carried our sorrows and pains; Yet we [ignorantly] assumed that He was stricken, struck down by God and degraded and humiliated [by Him].

#2. HOW?

Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith, that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God not of works least anyone should boast."

#3. WHAT IF…?

Philippians 1:20b “Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.”

1 Peter 1:6-7 "In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”

If DIVINE HEALING and HEALTH is a BENEFIT, is there ANYTHING that could BLOCK GOD’S BENEFIT of DIVINE HEALING?

  1. APOSTASY
  2. LEGALISM and LUKEWARM FAITH
  3. UNBELIEF

Sermon: Stillness | Psalm 46:10

Pastor: Mike Taylor

__________________________

SERMON NOTES:

  1. Value Stillness

Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God.”

Matthew 6:6 But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

Isaiah 30:15 For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel: “In returning and rest you shall be saved; In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.” But you would not,

1 Kings 19:12-13 “and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice. So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave.”

  1. We Fear Stillness

Isaiah 6:5 “So I said: “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The Lord of hosts.”

Luke 5:8 When Simon Peter realized what had happened, he fell to his knees before Jesus and said, “Oh, Lord, please leave me—I’m such a sinful man.

  1. Practice Stillness

  2. At the beginning of your daily quiet time.

  3. At some point during your weekly Sabbath.
  4. Throughout your day as you hear God Speak.

DIVINE FORGIVENESS – SERMON

PSALM 103

JULY 3, 2022

______________________________

#1. HE REMOVES OUR TRANSGRESSIONS

Psalm 103:10-12 “He has not dealt with us as our sins deserve or repaid us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his faithful love toward those who fear him. 12 As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.”

INIQUITY = Inward motivation that drives us toward sin.

TRANSGRESSION = the outward movement of sin.

#2. HE REMEMBERS OUR SINS NO MORE

Isaiah 43:25 “I – yes, I alone – will blot out your sins for my own sake and I will never think of them again.”

#3. HE RELEASES US FROM OUR INIQUITIES

Psalm 103:3 He forgives all your (sin) iniquity.

JOHN 17:21-23

2 CHRONICLES 30

JUNE 26, 2022

#1. UNITY IS A RESULT

John 17:21 "I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one – and you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us – so that – the world will believe you sent me."

John 17:22 “I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one."

Philippians 2:6 "Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. 7 Instead, he gave up his divine privileges and was born as a human being."

2 Chronicles 30:12 "At the same time, God’s hand was on the people in the land of Judah giving them all one heart to obey the orders of the king and his officials, who were following the word of the Lord."

NOW WHAT HAPPENED as a RESULT?

#1. OTHER BELIEVERS WERE BROUGHT INTO UNITY

2 Chronicles 30:15 "On the fourteenth day of the second month, one month later than usual, the people slaughtered the Passover lamb. This shamed the priests and Levites, so they purified themselves and brough burnt offerings to the Temple of the Lord. 16 Then they took their places at the Temple as prescribed by the Law of Moses, the man of God."

#2. NON-BELIEVERS WILL BE ATTRACTED TO UNITY

2 Chronicles 30:17-20 "Since many of the people had not purified themselves, the Levites had to slaughter their Passover lamb for them, to set them apart for the Lord. 18 Most of those who came from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun had not purified themselves."

2 Chronicles 30:18b "But King Hezekiah prayed for them, and they were allowed to eat the Passover meal anyway, even though this was contrary to the requirements of the law. For Hezekiah said, “May the Lord who is good, pardon those 19 who decide to follow the Lord, the God of their ancestors, even though they are not properly cleansed for the ceremony. And the Lord listened to Hezekiah’s prayer and healed the people."

#3. UNITY ELEVATES OUR WORSHIP

2 Chronicles 30:21 "So the people of Israel who were present in Jerusalem joyously celebrated the Festival of Unleavened Bread for seven days. Each day the Levites and priests sang to the Lord, accompanied by loud instruments. 22 Hezekiah encouraged all the Levites regarding the skill they displayed as they served the Lord. The celebration continued for seven days. Peace offerings were sacrificed, and the people gave thanks to the Lord, the God of their ancestors. 23 The entire assembly then decided to continue the festival another seven days, so that celebrated joyfully for another week. 24 King Hezekiah gave the people 1,000 bulls and 7,000 sheep and goats for offerings, and the officials donated 1,000 bulls and 10,000 sheep and goats. Meanwhile, many more priests purified themselves. 25 The entire assembly of Judah rejoiced, including the priests, the Levite, all who came from the land of Israel, the foreigners who came to the festival, and all of those who lived in Judah. 26 There was great joy in the city, for Jerusalem had not seen a celebration like this one since the days of Solomon, King David&rs

HOW NOW SHALL WE LIVE? – LIVE LIKE…

#1. WE ARE KNOWN and CALLED

Jeremiah 1:5 “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”

Exodus 33:17 The Lord said to Moses, “I will also do this thing of which you have spoken; for you have found favor in My sight and I have known you by name.”

1 Corinthians 8:3 but if anyone loves God, he is known by Him.

Galatians 1:15 “But even before I was born, God chose me and called me by his marvelous grace. Then it pleased Him 16 to reveal his Son to me so that I would proclaim the Good News about Jesus to the Gentiles.”

#2. BE DONE WITH EXCUSES

Jeremiah 1:6 “O Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I can’t speak for you! I’m too young!” 7 The Lord replied, ‘Don’t say, ‘I’m too young,’ for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you. 8 And don’t be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and will protect you. I, the Lord, have spoken!”

Jeremiah 1:7 The Lord replied, “Don’t say, ‘I’m too young,’ for you must go where I send you and say whatever I tell you. 8 And don’t be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and will protect you. I, the Lord, have spoken!”

#3. SPEAK from what you SEE

Jeremiah 1:11-15 Then the Lord said to me, “Look Jeremiah! What do you see?” And I replied, “I see a branch from an almond tree.” 12 And the Lord said, “That’s right, and it means that I am watching, and I will certainly carry out my plans.” 13 Then the Lord spoke to me again and asked, “What do you see now?” And I replied, “I see a pot of boiling water, spilling from the north.” 14 “Yes,” the Lord said, “for terror from the north will boil out on the people of this land. 15 Listen! I am calling the armies of the kingdoms of the north to come to Jerusalem. I, the Lord, have spoken!”

Ephesians 1:16b-18 “I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, 17that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in your knowledge of Him. 18I ask that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know the hope of His calling, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints,19and the surpassing greatness of His power to us who believe.

1 Corinthians 2:1-16 1When I first came to you, dear brothers, and sisters, I didn’t use lofty words and impressive wisdom to tell you God’s secret plan. 2For I decided that while I was with you, I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified. 3I came to you in weakness—timid and trembling. 4And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit. 5
