Leadership is such a mixed bag! There is no one size fits all and as a woman in leadership, I've had my tough lessons. My goal is to be transparent and open about these lessons in hopes that it will help you avoid or confront your own.
I am the first one to tell you, I don't know it! If someone tells you that you can read a few books on leadership, and you'll be good, I'd question it!
As leaders, it's important to understand just how people see us at any given time. Is that a lot of pressure? Sure. We were built for it though.
At the start of my career, I was told I need to have a better poker face. I never realized just how important that would be when I became a leader. Listen in as I share why it's important to have a great poker face in meetings and other interactions with staff and how you can work on having a good poker face.
