We talk about how this movie was a blockbuster that led to multiple Batman movies in the 1990's, for better or worse, and this movie helped make DC films a force to be reckoned with.

Join The Credible Nerds as we discuss the novel Elantris by Brandon Sanderson. This “standalone” book opened the door for us to a bigger universe and started our journey into what's now known as the Cosmere.
Set in the city of Elantris, once a place of magic and splendor but now a cursed land where its inhabitants, who were once blessed with magical powers, have been turned into wretched beings that are reminiscent of zombies.
The story follows three main characters - Raoden, a prince who is cursed and becomes an Elantrian; Sarene, a princess from the neighboring kingdom of Teod, who arrives in Arelon for an arranged marriage with Raoden; and Hrathen, a religious zealot from a different kingdom who seeks to convert the people of Arelon to his religion.
As the characters' paths intertwine, they must navigate political intrigue, religious conflict, and the mysteries of Elantris to save the city and its people. The novel explores themes of faith, perseverance, and the nature of power. We discuss its intricate world-building and engaging characters, Overall we liked Elantris as it is a compelling tale that keeps readers immersed in its richly imagined fantasy realm.

And this is only in the first 20 mins of the movie! More adventures follow as they try to get back to civilization. We discuss whether we like Temple of Doom, what we thought when we first saw it in theaters, 39 years ago, and if our opinion changed during our recent rewatch. We then rank and compare the movie to the other four Indiana Jones films.
The Fourth Ta'veren reviews Episode 8: The Eye of the World from Amazon Prime! This episode is the final episode of the season and is loosely based on the ending events of the book series The Wheel of Time - Book One: The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan. The Battle of Tarwin's Gap is fought and Lord Agelmar is killed by Trollocs. Nynaeve, Egwene and some other women defeat the Trolloc Army, but suffer mortal wounds from using too much of saidar. James Mangold (Logan, Indy 5) will be in charge of writing and directing a Star Wars film set 25,000 years before The Phantom Menace and will address the origins of the Force (and possibly the Jedi and the Sith?).
Dave Filoni will create a a film based on his live action Disney+ series, The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, The Book of Boba Fett, and perhaps others. The film will close out these stories and will focus on the New Republic.
Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy's movie will focus on the sequel trilogy era and will take place 15 years after The Rise of Skywalker. Rey is again played by Daisy Ridley and will be rebuilding the Jedi Order using the sacred texts found in the first Jedi Temple.

The Credible Nerds discuss their history and experiences with Star Wars collecting! From 1978 - 2023 we discuss what collecting was like as young kids up through teenage years and then into adulthood! We also discuss how our early years of collecting influenced us collecting for our kids as well. We discuss collecting action figures, books, comics, prints, and pretty much anything and everything! We didn't get into Funko POP collecting oddly enough as we have plenty of those too! This is one of our longest episodes ever! We had such a good time talking Star Wars collecting that we lost track of time. Time flies when you're having fun! This is the first episode in a multi-part collecting series that we will do on and off with no set schedule. I apologize for the audio on this one as I just switched from OBS to Ecamm and I'm still getting used to the new software and I missed monitoring the audio output. It's still not bad, just off.
We review the final two episodes of The Bad Batch Season 2 - The Summit and Plan 99! PFC Brady is back to talk about the episodes he missed while in Marine boot camp and how the Bad Batch continues the story from The Clone Wars.
Will Clone Force 99 retire?! Are they going to call it quits? We breakdown and discuss these two connected episodes, Pabu and Tipping Point. While Pabu is one of my least favorite episodes this season, Tipping Point has a lot of good things going for it and we spend most of our time on Tipping Point. The Bad Batch become aware of the Empire's plan to get rid of Clones quietly. They also uncover a signal from Crosshair informing them to enact Plan 88. This sets off a rescue mission that will be discussed in our next episode!

We discuss the reunification of The Mandalorian tribes and their reentry into Mandalore. Moff Gideon is back! We review and discuss what his master plan is and how it was thwarted by Din Djarin. We talk about how awesome it was to have Mandalorians having aerial combat and Bo Katan wielding the Darksaber once again! It's a great ending to this third season and we grade the season overall and what we might see for next season.
We discuss Chapter 22 of The Mandalorian - Guns for Hire! While we think that this is one of the oddest episodes of the series, there are some good things to discuss. From the cameos to references to Count Dooku and the Separatists to the duel to be the Mandalorian ruler there are some good things to see.
We discuss the cameos of Jack Black and LIzzo and how we feel that there was potential for them to be more menacing. With Jack Black and his mustaches to Lizzy and her Alice in Wonderland Queen of Hearts vibes, we were expecting something more nefarious than what we got. It was good to see Ugnaughts and battle droids again, with a droid bar thrown in to make us think about how droids find entertainment - if at all.

We discuss Chapter 20 of The Mandalorian - The Foundling! We get to see the Mandalorians working together against a common foe and how they are able to rescue one of their own. A dragon-like creature has attacked the Mandalorians and taken captive a foundling. The Mandalorians mount a rescue mission with Bo Katan taking charge of the mission. While out on their rescue mission, Grogu stays behind with the Armorer and another flashback of Grogu’s past is revealed. We see how he was rescued from the Jedi Temple during Order 66 by a Jedi named Kelleran Beq. We discuss the implications and fallout from this rescue as Grogu and the Jedi make their escape aboard a Nubian (Naboo) starcruiser. Which person from Naboo is helping Grogu escape - Padme, Jar Jar Banks, or could it be Chancellor Palpatine?
We review Chapter 19 - The Convert from Mandalorian Season 3! Sandwiched in-between an intense opening aerial battle sequence featuring Bo Katan and Din Djarin taking on multiple TIE fighters and Bo Katan and Din Djarin meeting up with the other Mandalorians at the end of the episode, we have a story about Dr. Pershing on Coruscant. Dr. Pershing meets up with a familiar face from his Moff Gideon days and attempts to restart his cloning research on Coruscant despite being "rehabilitated" from his time spent in the Empire. We review and discuss this two parter episode of Episode 7 and 8 of Season 2 of the Bad Batch - Clone Conspiracy and Truth and Consequences.
'What happened to the Clone Troopers between Episodes 3 and 4 of Star Wars?' has long been a question on Star Wars fans' minds.
In Season One of the Bad Batch this question began to be answered, and these two episodes are a continuation of that storyline. We see how the Clone Troopers who were involved in the destruction of Tipoca City and Kamino can't stay silent are starting to talk. Word of this Clone Conspiracy makes its way to Senators Chuchi and Organa who begin an investigation into the Truth, but there are Consequences. The Bad Batch is brought in to uncover evidence of the Kaminoan genocide.
Ultimately we see Emperor Palpatine make an appearance and make final decisions as to what is needed. We also say goodbye to a member of the Bad Batch as he moves on to bigger and better things.

Another step in the journey of Din Djarin's attempt to reunite Grogu with his kind - the Jedi. They make it to Tython and find the Seeing Stone that Grogu can sit on on to reach out in to the Universe to contact another Jedi. Seems simple enough, right? But of course that's a boring story and there's got to be some surprises and barriers to success along the way. And yes there are some surprises! We are reintroduced to not one, but two characters whom we were lead to believe were dead in previous Star Wars stories! One is an iconic, legacy character that shows up and destroys the Empire's Stormtroopers who are there to capture Grogu!
