Due to the uncertainty of the pandemic and online visual learning, students and staff members have had to go through a very different change this past year. With the transition to Zoom University, a lot of students have felt unmotivated and burnt out with all the school work and pressure of everything else going on. It is easy to feel burned out with a lot of work! However, it is also important to acknowledge this and see in what ways we can improve this feeling. In this podcast, our members share their experiences with ways in which they avoid burnout and share study tips they have to stay motivated throughout the quarter!
Identifying as both LGBTQIA+ and Chi/Lat can be difficult to navigate in a heteronormative and white dominant society. Additionally, coming out requires a unique approach that can cut across multiple languages, cultures, nationalities, religious identities and family generations. In this episode, we discuss our experiences of coming out and living as both LGBTQIA+ and Chi/Lat with an emphasis on the understanding of intersectionality. Being LGBTQIA+ and Chi/Lat is not a monolithic existence; so, the hope of this discussion is to get multiple authentic and diverse perspectives to encourage and advise younger students who have similar identities.
