Niagara County Community College scored one of the biggest upsets in league history on Saturday, shocking unbeaten St. Bonaventure 4-3 in overtime in the Quarterfinals of the UNYCHL Playoffs. Starting with the 2023-24 season, the Collegiate Hockey Federation (CHF) will known as AAU College Hockey. The remake as AAU College Hockey is aimed at creating a new level of collegiate hockey; completely separate from the NCAA and ACHA. CHF Executive Director Scott Solomon joins to podcast to unveil the plan.
Commissioner Jon Marchese joins Aaron Alpern to recap first semester play in the UNYCHL. The Best Teams, the Biggest Surprises, and the Commissioner issues a challenge.
The new Executive Director of the CHF is our guest this week. Scott Solomon, a former SUNY Albany player and coach, took over his new role about six weeks ago. Solomon joins the podcast to share a preview of a major upcoming announcement to take the CHF to another level.

The soft opening of the UNYCHL season is over as just about the whole league is in action this weekend. Cortland travels to face Empire Conf. opponents, while Georgia, the College Hockey South Champion, is in WNY facing three UNYCHL teams. A preview of the packed weekend upcoming and a conversation with Hector Vargas from the University at Buffalo about representing Puerto Rico at the recent LATAM Cup.
The 2022-23 UNYCHL season kicked off Friday with a 7-6 Buffalo State win over Brockport. Buff State Captain Joe LoTempio joins the show to discuss the opener and the season ahead for the program he founded.
