We break down climate change into elements to help better understand it, to help explain it and remove the ambiguity. We have brought together scientists, professors, farmers, creators, business owners, firefighters and more for this project.
Episode 12 - WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE, Katiuscia and I look back over the series and discuss what we learned, why we founded and produced the series, the need for talking about climate change and brining brilliant people together to help explain the details of climate change. Forest ecosystems are a critical component of the world’s biodiversity as many forests are more biodiverse than other ecosystems. We discuss carbon drawdown, the cooling affect of forests, the unfortunate political games, the soil, and regeneration as a key way forward along woth hope and action.
Episode 7 is entitled "OCEANS" where we will dive deep into understanding what and how the ocean assists us in mitigating the climate crisis. We ask the questions of exactly what is happening beneath the surface, what are our divers, oceanographers and scientists seeing and how the knock on affect can make a huge impact on ecosystems, migration, absorption of Carbon Dioxide, what happens if our oceans become even more acidified. A fascinating and scary reality but one we need to be aware of. Land is our most precious commodity and resource, it houses, nurtures and grows our produce and what affects are produce affects whats on our plate. If we can understand if we are connecting or not, perhaps from that stand point we can adjust how we frame climate changes in a more succinct manner. To understand further we sat down with Dr Lisa Schipper from Oxford University and Damon Gameau, prominent speaker, film maker, writer and producer. We will explore some fundamental questions such as what is the 1.5degree benchmark exactly and where does it originate? What is the IPCC report, why was it founded, why is it relevant and how are the scientists selected to participate in the report each year.
