THE RIVER Podcast was inspired by a prophetic dream God gave me about teaching people the ways of God. This podcast includes preaching, teaching and testimonies that will encourage and strengthen you. Listeners will be equipped through teachings on evangelism, healing, deliverance and the prophetic.
Many times God asks us to do things that don't make sense in order to test our faith and obedience. Throughout the Bible, we see people who trusted God before they saw the outcome. In this message, we'll explore these powerful acts of faith and discover how we can walk in that same faith today. Faith isn't just believing—it's obeying what God has spoken, even when it doesn't make sense.
In a culture overflowing with comfort, success, and material gain, it’s easy to mistake temporal satisfaction for true fulfillment. But what happens when a life that “has it all” still feels empty? This video confronts a hard truth: when our hearts are filled with the things of this world, there’s little room left for God.
Scripture warns that loving the world and loving the Father cannot coexist. Many are living well—nice homes, steady income, full tables, yet they're spiritually dry, lacking hunger, desperation, and intimacy with God. This message is a wake up call to examine what’s truly filling your heart.

SON OF GOD & SON OF MAN

From the beginning of creation, God established rest as a divine pattern when He rested on the seventh day in the Book of Genesis, revealing that rest is part of His design for our lives. Our bodies heal and restore while we sleep, showing that physical rest reflects a deeper spiritual truth—trusting God instead of striving. From the Sabbath to Jesus’ invitation in the Gospel of Matthew 11:28 and the promise of rest in the Epistle to the Hebrews 4, Scripture shows that rest is both a command and a gift, and God calls us to walk in His rhythm of peace and surrender.
The laying on of hands is a biblical practice through which God releases blessing, healing, impartation, and commissioning, seen throughout Scripture in the ministry of Jesus and the early Church. In this video, we briefly explore its biblical foundation, what happens spiritually during this act of faith, and why obedience, authority, and discernment matter for believers today.
In this episode, the difference between God’s divine will and His permissive will is discussed—two realities that every believer encounters at some point in their walk with Christ. God’s divine will represents His perfect plan, the path of obedience and purpose that leads to His best for our lives. His permissive will, however, allows us to make choices outside that perfect plan—sometimes painful ones that He still uses to teach, shape, and redirect us. In this short clip, I expose the deception behind the false gospel of Islam. Muhammad claimed to receive revelation from an angel of light, but Scripture warns us that Satan disguises himself as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14). The truth is, Islam denies Jesus as the Son of God and rejects the finished work of the cross. Any gospel that does not proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is a false gospel (Galatians 1:8–9).

More is caught than taught when it come to spiritual matters. We can learn about God by reading His word or through teachings, but if the Spirit doesn't give us revelation regarding his word and his ways there's only so much we'll understand.
Have you ever felt like unbelief was rising up to snuff out your faith? Have you ever drawn near to Jesus but as you did doubts came rushing in? Well, if you've experienced this you're not alone. The man who brought his son to Jesus in Mark chapter 9 found out firsthand that a small measure of faith can produce miraculous results. The key is getting real with God about our hang ups and asking him to teach us his ways.
Did you know that prophecies about the coming Messiah (Jesus) can be found throughout the entire Bible? God has a way of leaving clues that are a lot like puzzle pieces. One clue won't reveal the entire picture but as the pieces are brought together they begin to create a clearer image.
Are you mentally oppressed or tormented? Are you experiencing difficulty in controlling patterns of thought that are entering and dominating your mind? It may just be that you're on the verge of a breakthrough but the enemy is resisting you, because he knows that an encounter with Jesus could change your life forever.
Why should we pray in Jesus name? Does praying in Jesus name make a greater impact? As a new believer I asked these kinds of questions. This teaching will help you to understand the power of Jesus name. Jesus told His disciples that in His name they'd cast out demons, that in His name they'd lay hands on the sick and the sick would recover. That in His name they would raise the dead and speak in new tongues. Jesus acts according to His authority and He is able to respond to our requests because His authority is limitless.
Jesus tells his disciples in John 14:21 that he will manifest himself to them. He wanted them to know that they would see him after his resurrection. Jesus manifests himself to us in many different ways and forms. In this episode I speak about some of the ways Jesus has manifested himself to me. He wants every one to encounter his power and presence.
How can one individual atone for the sins of all humanity? While this may be impossible for a mere mortal, it becomes a reality through God incarnate. This teaching explores Old Testament's laws regarding atonement and the requirements involved. It also examines how God established His law, intentionally omitting a crucial aspect that He later employed for the redemption of mankind.
Discernment is a sign of spiritual maturity. Spiritual discernment is about excercising our spiritual senses through experiencing God's presence. As we get to know the Spirit of God all other spirits stand out in contrast. We need to discern the truth from a lie, light from dark and good from evil because deception is everywhere these days. The word of God must be our standard.
The new covenant established in Christ's blood speaks better things for us. The law of Moses was the standard until Jesus fulfilled the law and established the covenant of grace. It's by grace through faith in Jesus Christ that we are saved. Because of Jesus' spilled blood we're able to enter the holy of holies and experience the presence of the most high. What an honor, what a privilege!
God pursues us with an unfathomable love that goes beyond human love. He doesn't want anyone to perish but he wants all people to come to repentance that they may be saved and transformed. He longs to call you home into his arms, he wants to give you a new heart and reveal your new destiny in him.
What did Jesus mean when he said, "don't cast your pearls to swine?" He was speaking about discerning those who are ripe to hear the Gospel message from those who will reject, mock and blaspheme it continually.
We have a decision to make everyday, to either allow our situation to dictate our mood or to choose to believe there are brighter days ahead for us in Christ.
With so many false teachings out there on the subject of the trinity, this message was recorded to teach truth from the scriptures on the subject. Father, Son and Holy Spirit are 3 distinct manifestations of God. One God in 3 persons.
Why should we share testimonies of signs. wonders and miracles? We don't want others to think one person is more anointed than another do we? I answer these questions and more during this message.
Jesus is the firm foundation, the chief cornerstone. What material will you choose to build with, when you build upon the foundation that's already been established? Perishable or imperishable? Only what's done in love will last.
With an eternal perspective we see people as Jesus sees them. We see them not as they are but as who they could be in Christ. With this perspective we make the most of every opportunity, not wanting anyone to perish. This is the heart of God.
If we want the Holy Spirit to have his way in us we have to deny ourselves first. When we die to self and lose our old identity, Christ will give us the new life he's promised.
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He is the only spirit that is pure and true and holy. He cleanses, comforts and instructs us in all things. Learn more about how God's spirit functions as you listen to Alex's personal experiences and teaching on the subject.
