THE RIVER Podcast was inspired by a prophetic dream God gave me about teaching people the ways of God. This podcast includes preaching, teaching and testimonies that will encourage and strengthen you. Listeners will be equipped through teachings on evangelism, healing, deliverance and the prophetic.
Many times God asks us to do things that don't make sense in order to test our faith and obedience. Throughout the Bible, we see people who trusted God before they saw the outcome. In this message, we'll explore these powerful acts of faith and discover how we can walk in that same faith today. Faith isn't just believing—it's obeying what God has spoken, even when it doesn't make sense.
In a culture overflowing with comfort, success, and material gain, it’s easy to mistake temporal satisfaction for true fulfillment. But what happens when a life that “has it all” still feels empty? This video confronts a hard truth: when our hearts are filled with the things of this world, there’s little room left for God.
Scripture warns that loving the world and loving the Father cannot coexist. Many are living well—nice homes, steady income, full tables, yet they're spiritually dry, lacking hunger, desperation, and intimacy with God. This message is a wake up call to examine what’s truly filling your heart.
If you’re ready to be challenged, stirred, and called deeper, check out this episode. It’s time to break free from comfort-driven Christianity and return to a genuine pursuit of God.
SON OF GOD & SON OF MAN
In this teaching Alex unpacks the true meaning behind the titles “Son of God” and “Son of Man,” revealing how both declare the full identity of Jesus Christ as fully divine and fully human. Journey through key Scriptures from the Old and New Testament as we explore how these titles are not contradictions, but confirmations of His authority, His mission, and His eternal nature. From Daniel’s vision of the Son of Man to Jesus’ own declarations in the Gospels, this message will strengthen your understanding of who Christ is and why it matters for your faith today.
From the beginning of creation, God established rest as a divine pattern when He rested on the seventh day in the Book of Genesis, revealing that rest is part of His design for our lives. Our bodies heal and restore while we sleep, showing that physical rest reflects a deeper spiritual truth—trusting God instead of striving. From the Sabbath to Jesus’ invitation in the Gospel of Matthew 11:28 and the promise of rest in the Epistle to the Hebrews 4, Scripture shows that rest is both a command and a gift, and God calls us to walk in His rhythm of peace and surrender.
The laying on of hands is a biblical practice through which God releases blessing, healing, impartation, and commissioning, seen throughout Scripture in the ministry of Jesus and the early Church. In this video, we briefly explore its biblical foundation, what happens spiritually during this act of faith, and why obedience, authority, and discernment matter for believers today.
In this episode, the difference between God’s divine will and His permissive will is discussed—two realities that every believer encounters at some point in their walk with Christ. God’s divine will represents His perfect plan, the path of obedience and purpose that leads to His best for our lives. His permissive will, however, allows us to make choices outside that perfect plan—sometimes painful ones that He still uses to teach, shape, and redirect us. Join me as we unpack how to recognize which will you’re walking in, how to align your life with God’s perfect will, and why even Jesus Himself submitted to the Father’s will in Gethsemane.
Have you ever wondered if something as common as a tattoo could carry more weight than just ink on skin? In this teaching I share what I discovered about the spiritual side of getting tattooed. It includes stories, scripture and a few questions to pray over. Watch with an open heart; what looks harmless at first may reveal deeper ties you weren’t expecting.
In this short clip, I expose the deception behind the false gospel of Islam. Muhammad claimed to receive revelation from an angel of light, but Scripture warns us that Satan disguises himself as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14). The truth is, Islam denies Jesus as the Son of God and rejects the finished work of the cross. Any gospel that does not proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is a false gospel (Galatians 1:8–9).
In this episode, I expose the dangers of false teachings and the deception of those who preach “a different Jesus.” The Bible warns us about false prophets and doctrines that twist the truth of Christ to lead people astray (2 Corinthians 11:4, Galatians 1:6–9). Many voices today speak in the name of Jesus, but not all are pointing to the true Son of God revealed in Scripture.
Join me as I unpack what the Word of God says about recognizing counterfeit gospels and standing firm in the truth. The real Jesus still saves, heals, and delivers but the enemy is working overtime to distort who He is. Don’t be deceived.
Does faith originate in the mind, the heart, or in the human spirit? Every person needs a spiritual understanding of who God is, and not just an intellectual belief. In this episode, we explore the depth of true faith, beyond head knowledge into a living encounter with God that transforms the heart and awakens the spirit. It’s about moving from information to revelation, from religion to relationship, and from belief to trust in the One who calls us His own.
Take a journey back to the foot of the cross, remembering the costly price Jesus paid for our salvation. It’s a call to renew our joy in what He has done, to rekindle the wonder of grace, and to reflect on where our faith began. Amid the noise of life, we pause to remember the heart of the Gospel. The love, sacrifice, and victory found only in Christ. This is an invitation to return to the place where it all started… Calvary.
To please the Lord, we need to keep His commandments. And when we are living according to God's divine will, we can feel a sense of sweet rest and peace in the Spirit. In this episode, Alex teaches about pleasing God, walking in faith and sensing God's peace spiritually.
In this episode, we dive into the powerful unity Jesus speaks of in His prayer from John 17, a prayer not only for His disciples but for all believers. Jesus declares, "I in them and You in Me," revealing the deep connection between Himself and the Father, and inviting us into that same oneness through the Holy Spirit.
Join me as we explore what it means to be united with Christ and with one another as the body of Christ. This episode unpacks the spiritual mystery and practical reality of walking in unity, love, and shared purpose, just as Jesus and the Father are one.
Whether you're seeking a deeper relationship with God or a greater understanding of Christian community, this message is a reminder that we were never meant to walk alone.
More is caught than taught when it come to spiritual matters. We can learn about God by reading His word or through teachings, but if the Spirit doesn't give us revelation regarding his word and his ways there's only so much we'll understand.
Have you ever felt like unbelief was rising up to snuff out your faith? Have you ever drawn near to Jesus but as you did doubts came rushing in? Well, if you've experienced this you're not alone. The man who brought his son to Jesus in Mark chapter 9 found out firsthand that a small measure of faith can produce miraculous results. The key is getting real with God about our hang ups and asking him to teach us his ways.
Did you know that prophecies about the coming Messiah (Jesus) can be found throughout the entire Bible? God has a way of leaving clues that are a lot like puzzle pieces. One clue won't reveal the entire picture but as the pieces are brought together they begin to create a clearer image.
Are you mentally oppressed or tormented? Are you experiencing difficulty in controlling patterns of thought that are entering and dominating your mind? It may just be that you're on the verge of a breakthrough but the enemy is resisting you, because he knows that an encounter with Jesus could change your life forever.
Why should we pray in Jesus name? Does praying in Jesus name make a greater impact? As a new believer I asked these kinds of questions. This teaching will help you to understand the power of Jesus name. Jesus told His disciples that in His name they'd cast out demons, that in His name they'd lay hands on the sick and the sick would recover. That in His name they would raise the dead and speak in new tongues. Jesus acts according to His authority and He is able to respond to our requests because His authority is limitless.
Jesus tells his disciples in John 14:21 that he will manifest himself to them. He wanted them to know that they would see him after his resurrection. Jesus manifests himself to us in many different ways and forms. In this episode I speak about some of the ways Jesus has manifested himself to me. He wants every one to encounter his power and presence.
How can one individual atone for the sins of all humanity? While this may be impossible for a mere mortal, it becomes a reality through God incarnate. This teaching explores Old Testament's laws regarding atonement and the requirements involved. It also examines how God established His law, intentionally omitting a crucial aspect that He later employed for the redemption of mankind.
Discernment is a sign of spiritual maturity. Spiritual discernment is about excercising our spiritual senses through experiencing God's presence. As we get to know the Spirit of God all other spirits stand out in contrast. We need to discern the truth from a lie, light from dark and good from evil because deception is everywhere these days. The word of God must be our standard.
The new covenant established in Christ's blood speaks better things for us. The law of Moses was the standard until Jesus fulfilled the law and established the covenant of grace. It's by grace through faith in Jesus Christ that we are saved. Because of Jesus' spilled blood we're able to enter the holy of holies and experience the presence of the most high. What an honor, what a privilege!
God pursues us with an unfathomable love that goes beyond human love. He doesn't want anyone to perish but he wants all people to come to repentance that they may be saved and transformed. He longs to call you home into his arms, he wants to give you a new heart and reveal your new destiny in him.
What did Jesus mean when he said, "don't cast your pearls to swine?" He was speaking about discerning those who are ripe to hear the Gospel message from those who will reject, mock and blaspheme it continually.
We have a decision to make everyday, to either allow our situation to dictate our mood or to choose to believe there are brighter days ahead for us in Christ.
With so many false teachings out there on the subject of the trinity, this message was recorded to teach truth from the scriptures on the subject. Father, Son and Holy Spirit are 3 distinct manifestations of God. One God in 3 persons.
Why should we share testimonies of signs. wonders and miracles? We don't want others to think one person is more anointed than another do we? I answer these questions and more during this message.
Jesus is the firm foundation, the chief cornerstone. What material will you choose to build with, when you build upon the foundation that's already been established? Perishable or imperishable? Only what's done in love will last.
With an eternal perspective we see people as Jesus sees them. We see them not as they are but as who they could be in Christ. With this perspective we make the most of every opportunity, not wanting anyone to perish. This is the heart of God.
If we want the Holy Spirit to have his way in us we have to deny ourselves first. When we die to self and lose our old identity, Christ will give us the new life he's promised.
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He is the only spirit that is pure and true and holy. He cleanses, comforts and instructs us in all things. Learn more about how God's spirit functions as you listen to Alex's personal experiences and teaching on the subject.
This episode teaches believers how to filter each word that we may offer grace to those who hear us. The power of life and death is in the tongue. May we impart life and peace through our words.
There are seasons of our lives where we're under great amounts of stress and pressure. It's in those seasons that we're provided with an opportunity to discover our greatest potential. The three teenagers in this story discovered an unwavering faith within them that arose when they were faced with execution.
This message was recorded at Generación Victoriosa Church in Calexico, California. The message was translated into Spanish so listeners can hear it in both English and Spanish. To receive breakthrough we must overcome our greatest obstacle first, ourselves.
In this episode we study the parable of the great feast found in Luke chapter 14. Those who were invited rejected the invitation because they have more important things to do. Later the master calls those who are broken and they quickly accept the invitation. Those who recognize their need for a savior are those who will have a seat at the table.
The lamb who was slain before the foundation of the world was slain to make you blameless. In this episode I talk about what it is to be holy and without blame in God's sight. We've been saved to be liberated and not condemned!
There are two great hopes that believers must hold on to. One is the rapture of the Church and the other are the times of restoration. When Jesus returns to reign on this earth all things will be made new. There will be no more pain, death or sorrow. Experience a touch from heaven tonight as you listen to this episode.
This episode is centered on the life of Joseph. Joseph endured trials, accusation and even prison before being promoted as ruler over Egypt. Through all of his troubles, his connection with God was never affected. The flow of the Spirit never ceased.
This message challenges believers by asking the question, are you putting God first in your life? If we seek him and his righteousness all the things we need will be provided. If we get this right then our lives will be full of supernatural peace and victorious living.
This message is for those who feel overlooked. It's for those who feel forgotten and it's a warning to those who see a need and refuse to help the least of these. During this message I read the words of Jesus to his disciples about what will happen when two different groups of people are judged, One group who helped their brother or sister and the other group who refuse to help them.
Mephibosheth was as good as dead when David called him to himself. He extended mercy and kindness and invited him to eat at his table continually. King Jesus calls us, we were dead in sin and yet he offers forgiveness and grace.
Have you ever felt like you're trapped in a vicious cycle? Every time you feel like you've gained the victory over a specific sin or obstacle you seem to fall right back into your old habits. Or do you see yourself prospering in an area and then later you seem to hit a wall and can't rise up to the next level? This may be because of a curse or generational curse that has been released upon your life. In this episode I teach on how to break free from these curses in the name of Jesus.
This episode equips believers in binding and casting out demons. In this episode I teach on when and when not to bind demonic spirits. I also teach on loosing the peace and virtue of God into the atmosphere. We war not in the natural but in heavenly realms.
These two spiritual gifts help to lift the veil that separates the natural realm from the spiritual. In this episode you'll learn how both gifts operate.
Learn to move forward in your divine destiny by forgiving yourself. To know your identity is to know you're viewed as a child of God who stands blameless before him because of Jesus' blood. Those who follow Jesus with a clean heart need not be ashamed.
This deliverance training is meant to equip believers by helping them to understand their identity. If you don't know your kingdom identity you'll never know your kingdom authority.
In this episode I speak about intercesorry prayer and the role of an intercessor. Through prayer and intercession souls can be saved, destinies can be altered and God's will can be done on earth as it is in heaven. I pray that you will learn what it is to interceed on behalf of others through this teaching.
Remember when Jesus flipped the tables in the temple and expressed a righteous anger toward those who permitted wickedness in his temple? Well in this podcast I'm going to speak about some things within the churches of America that aren't in line with the true purpose of what God had intended for his people. His Temple is supposed to be a house of prayer, a sacred santuary and a place of praise and honor for our God. Let's talk about why Jesus is grieved and what we can do about it.
This episode is a teaching about how to flow in the prophetic. Not only does Alex describe his some of his experiences but he gives instructions on how to test a prophetic word.
This teaching on prophecy and tongues will explain what these spiritual gifts are and how they're meant to operate in the life of a believer.
In this episode I speak on the subject of the spirit realm and the manifestations experienced through our encounters. There's spiritual influence wherever we go, knowing this we should be aware of what spiritual influence we're under.
As I continue speaking on the subject of quenching or extinguishing the Holy Spirit, I speak specifically about obeying God's voice in this episode.
This message was prepared to help believers in avoiding what may grieve or quench the Holy Spirit.
This is a personal testimony about a woman who was saved from suicide because of a word of knowledge I received from the Lord.
We must learn to move with the current of the river or in other words we must learn to move with the leading of the Holy Spirit.
The River represents the Holy spirit. This clip explains the purifying power of the Holy Spirit. Refer to Ezekiel chapter 47 for more details.
