In this episode I talk about my experience reading Harry Potter fan fiction for the first time in my life, as well as the Booktok/Bookstagram duology favorite, The Cat and Mouse Duet by HD Carlton, which contains Haunting Adeline and Hunting Adeline. Spoiler Free overall, but I discuss some themes and tropes, so hopefully you'll just have a better idea about what you're getting yourself into if you choose to read them.
The fan fics I mentioned are a dark romance between Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger - "On the Nature of Daylight" and its sequel "This Bitter Earth" by Ikorous and are available for free on Archive of Our Own, and I think also on Wattpad

In this episode I challenge you to tackle the common issue of “telling” too much of your story instead of “showing” it to your readers using our internal storyshowing cameras.
We will be using the phrase “if the camera can’t see it, don’t write it” as we write to help us stay in the showing mindset while we work.
