The Space In Between is the place where listeners tune-in to hear the conversations, thoughts, and true, real-life opinions that are rarely said out loud. Things you might only say in private with the people you trust most or not at all. This podcast navigates and explores personal lifestyle, work & career, and all types of relationship topics.
I started the Life in the Middle® podcast to share my thoughts and revelations about life and to spark conversations about topics rarely said out loud. In this 50th episode, I reveal the podcasting lessons and surprises I've encountered on my way to reaching this important milestone.
I'm getting vulnerable and sharing the truth behind creating my podcast and my journey as a podcast host. I talk about the production challenges—from audio-only closet recordings to video clips—and why living my life is essential for sparking episode topics and conversation. I've learned that consistency and discipline are the qualities that keep me going. I use my voice and this platform to connect with you and hopefully make a difference in how you relate to yourself and others.
Spicy Gems from Sharona"If you don't take yourself seriously, if you don't think that the things that you're creating are worthy and worth it, then nobody else will."
"Consistency and discipline have been my North Star."

The holidays have a way of bringing out all sides of us, from the joyful to the stressed and everything in between. In this conversation, I talk to my friend and Enneagram coach, Stefanie Shaughnessy, to explore how understanding your Enneagram type can help you handle conflict as you move through the holiday season with more awareness.
We talk about the quirks of each type, unpack how to use the Enneagram to navigate family dynamics, and how to recognize triggers without losing your cool. Stefanie shares what the Enneagram can teach us about self-awareness, emotional regulation, and compassion for ourselves and others.
Since the holidays can feel both beautiful and burdensome, this conversation will help you see yourself and the people you love with more grace and understanding.
Episode Gems:
“The Enneagram shows you the why behind what you do, not just the behavior itself.” ~ Stefanie S.
“I think so many people hear about the Enneagram and assume it’s another personality quiz, but it’s really about awareness.” ~ Sharona
“When we understand our type, we can recognize the stories we tell ourselves and choose something different instead of repeating the same patterns.” ~ Stefanie S.

In this solo episode, I reflect on what it felt like to reconnect with classmates and friends at my 30th high school reunion. Seeing familiar faces reminded me how much I’ve grown, how time reshapes connection, and how the fear we create in our minds disappears when we let go of expectation and just show up as ourselves. This conversation is about being genuine and trusting that who you are today is more than enough.
Episode Quotes:“I’m not the same girl from high school, but she’s still part of me.”
“I wasn’t trying to be impressive, I was just trying to be present.”
“It’s not that I needed the validation, but hearing it reminded me I’ve grown in ways I don’t always give myself credit for.”

What happens when the world feels like too much and you're running on empty?
In this solo episode, I’m unpacking the ways we try to escape ourselves through distraction, overconsumption, or hyperfocus on everything outside of us. I talk about how the weight of the world affects us, why it feels harder than ever to “do the work,” and how escapism can become both a comfort and a barrier. This isn’t about pushing past the hard stuff or fixing your mindset. It’s about getting honest and asking what you're really running from?
If you’ve been mentally checking out or emotionally avoiding what’s under the surface, this episode is for you.
Episode Quotes:“It's hard to get people to see the positive in things when it feels like the world is burning, or it feels like things are just not okay. And if I'm being honest, they're not okay.”
“The thing about escapism in the context of life is that at some point. You have to deal with the real shit that comes to the surface.”

The difference between entrepreneurial success and failure isn't about your business plan; it's about what's already inside of you.
In this episode, I talk about the unglamorous reality of building a business alone and reveal the five non-negotiable characteristics that separate successful solopreneurs from those who might struggle to stay in the solo business lane. I share my own challenges in building my business and what I do to keep going. I'm stripping away the fantasy of entrepreneurship and diving into the raw truth about what it really takes to make it as a solo business owner.
Episode Gems:"Starting a business is easy for the most part, but the real work comes in when you start building."
“When you have a business, discipline has to be key into how you show up because you have to be willing to show up even when you're not being pushed, even when you're not being held accountable."
“If money is the only motivator, you're not gonna last long. You have to find other reasons or a bigger why in order for you to be successful in your business."

I’ve been noticing the same recycled language, copied captions, and business strategies being passed around like scripts. But where’s the real person behind the brand?
This conversation is my honest take on the rise of copy-paste culture and the pressure we feel to sound like everyone else just to grab attention and be seen as successful. I’m talking about why originality is quietly disappearing, how content is becoming inauthentic, and why your unique voice still matters in a world of copycats. If you’ve ever felt the urge to be a carbon copy to fit a trend, this one’s for you.
Episode Gems:“When everything starts to sound the same, it gets harder to trust what’s real.”
“This whole copy-paste culture – it's old, it's exhausting, is boring.”
“You can be inspired by someone without becoming their echo.”

We’ve all heard it — if you just work hard enough, success will come. But what happens when you give everything, follow the rules, and still miss the mark?
After hearing a well-known entrepreneur on a popular podcast share how she worked hard and used grit to propel her into success, I couldn’t help but think about the parts of the story she didn't tell.
What about the external and invisible elements that impact what success looks like? I’m talking about: proximity, privilege, and the quiet ways the ideology of "working hard" keeps people stuck. It's true, effort and hard work matter, but these are only part of what determines success. I share my story of how years of hard work resulted in being overlooked and undervalued, and how I approach success differently now.
If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing everything right and still not getting ahead, you’re not imagining it. This episode is for you.
Episode Quotes:
“Hard work doesn’t guarantee you a seat at the table. That’s the part no one wants to say out loud.”
“Sometimes the problem isn’t your effort. It’s the environment, the access, and the game you’re being asked to play.”
“The moving target is real. And sometimes, you’re being measured by rules you never agreed to.”

Have you ever come across a post on social media that sounded too good to be true? I’ve been seeing more and more content that appears genuine and inspirational on the surface but is built on half-truths, recycled stories, and carefully crafted pomp and circumstance.
This conversation is about the fake and disingenuous posts we see on social media from coaches, creators, and business service providers. I'm sharing red and yellow flags to watch out for, how to trust your gut while scrolling, and why some of that highlight-reel storytelling is doing more harm than good. I’m not here to police anybody’s hustle, but if you’re out here selling people something you haven’t lived or proven, it’s time to stop.
Episode Gems:"They (creators) are selling you a lifestyle they don’t even live."
"Not everything that sparkles on social media is gold. Sometimes it's just glitter and lies."
"If it smells fishy, it probably is. Trust your gut."

What if the real growth in your life and business had nothing to do with strategy and everything to do with how you create relationships?
I'm back from a national business conference, and while I could recap the speakers and presentations, what really shifted the experience was how I chose to show up and meet people.
Instead of chasing goals, I focused on planting seeds. I set intentions before I arrived, prayed over my experience, envisioned successful outcomes, and gave myself permission to be guided instead of forcing a plan. I captured meaningful interactions and treated each relationship like it mattered, because they do.
This isn’t about a plan for old school networking, it’s about cultivating relationships with care, knowing that the relationship seeds you plant and nurture today will blossom into a harvest of opportunities for you tomorrow.
Episode Quotes:"I don’t go to events to network. I go to plant relationship seeds."
"You don’t plant a seed and expect it to grow overnight. You prepare the soil, you nurture it, and you wait."
"The gold is in the follow-up. That’s where the real connection happens."

What if happiness didn’t hinge on a relationship status? What if joy, freedom, and romance were already yours to create? I invited one of my closest friends, Lorena Lopez, to have the kind of honest, soul-stirring conversation we usually save for long phone calls and voice notes. She’s someone who lives life fully, not because she’s waiting for someone to join her, but because she decided she’s enough.
We talked about choosing yourself, redefining luxury, and the quiet confidence that comes from knowing who you are. Lorena shares how solo travel became a mirror for her healing, how she stopped apologizing for her joy, and why she’s not waiting for a partner to live the life she wants. This is a love letter to every woman who’s ever felt like her life is on hold until someone else shows up. You don’t need permission to be happy. You just need to say yes to yourself.

"You don't need someone to bring you joy if you're already living a life that feels like yours."

What happens when the relationship with your father doesn't fall neatly into the "daddy's girl" or "deadbeat dad" category?
What if it's just...complicated? This is how I'd describe the relationship with my father. As Father’s Day approaches, it feels like the right time to talk about one of the most important relationships in a daughter's life.
In this episode, I reflect on my own father-daughter dynamic and how our relationship falls somewhere in the middle of close-knit ones written about in Hallmark cards and the absent, disconnected ones, where the relationship is inconsistent. These middle-of-the-road relationships are common for daughters who want closer relationships with their fathers but find it hard to get to the root of their relationship issues.
This conversation is deeply personal. I talk about what the relationship with my father has taught me and how it impacts other relationships in my life. If you're a daughter trying to understand the relationship breakdown with your father, this episode is for you.
Episode Quotes:
"I’ve been performative in relationships, going above and beyond just to prove I’m worthy — and I believe that comes from my relationship with my father."
"There are no Hallmark cards or right words to say for these types of relationships. They're not all bad, and they're definitely not all good. They're somewhere in the middle."

Let’s be honest. Sometimes we don’t recognize what we need from our friendships until we're deep into them, and a problem comes up/surfaces. In this episode, I'm talking about the ways we approach relationships and how some friendships break apart in disruption or slowly fade to black without ever being addressed.
I’m unpacking why friendships shift, break down, or quietly break up, and how we can adjust our expectations with our friends at the very beginning. Whether you've been ghosted or ghosted a friend, navigating an awkward break, or just feeling disconnected from the friendship, it might be time to ask if the friendship is still aligned with who you are now.
Episode Gems:
"We just assume that we all have the same definition of friendship, and we don’t."
"Not everybody wants new friends. Some people are just good with the ones they have."
"Some of us were never compatible as friends to begin with."

Are you aware of your power as a woman?
This recent outcome of the US presidential election has caused anxiety and uncertainty about the future. It has also highlighted concerns about women's rights and how society looks at and treats women overall. For too long, we've been waiting for permission, waiting to be valued, waiting for someone to hand us the keys to the kingdom. No more waiting. It's time for women to stand in their power, see themselves as valuable and worthy to create their own spaces, and stop relying on others to set the tone for what is true and right for them.
I'll talk about the importance of women recognizing what they bring to the table and the house. I'm fired up in this episode! Grab your headphones and tune in.

"We have to get to the point where we are looking at ourselves and going, ‘Okay, you don't want to give me a seat?’ ‘You don't want to look at me or value me? No problem.’ It is now time for me to create my own table and set the tone for my life.”
“We can no longer just keep sitting around waiting for people to see us. Waiting for people to get it, waiting for people to give us an opportunity.

There is a complex and often overlooked "middle space" of divorce, where we struggle with grief, loss, and the daunting task of rebuilding our lives.
Going through a divorce is an intense experience that touches every facet of a person's life. It's like a death, signifying the end of a relationship, shared dreams, and the life we once knew. This loss triggers a grieving process, which can cause confusion, doubt, and a rollercoaster of emotions. In this episode, I talk about what it’s like to be in that middle space of a divorce -- caught between your married life and newly single life and how you can move towards healing and creating a healthy new normal. It's about embracing the messy middle of divorce, honoring your journey, and emerging stronger and wiser on the other side.
If this episode speaks to you, take a minute to comment or share a review. Don't forget to grab your reflection sheet to capture your thoughts and takeaways from this episode.
Episode Gems:"Divorce is like a death. It's the death of a relationship. It's the death of the dreams that you once shared with the other person, it's the death of your family and the vision that you had for the type of family that you thought you were going to build."

Is social media helping us build real connections or is it quietly pulling us apart?
In this episode, I dive into how social media might be impacting our relationships both online and in real life. After a recent conversation with my therapist, I realized that a lot of us are struggling to form meaningful connections. With everyone putting out curated versions of themselves on social media, it can be hard to know if we're getting to know the real person or a made-up persona. I also talk about how constantly seeking "likes" and "follows" online can affect our self-worth. I offer some simple steps to help reset and refocus on building genuine connections.

Ever wonder why some people have big, bold (audacious) dreams and others can't see beyond the basics?Three major factors shape our perception of success: our immediate environment, what we're exposed to, and the types of conversations we have with other people. I'm sharing why I think awareness within these three E’s can help you move beyond your limitations and expand your mind to what is truly possible for you. If you feel like you keep taking 2 steps forward and 3 steps backward, this episode is for you.
Episode Gems:“Your surroundings and immediate environment play a super big role in what you believe is possible.”“What you are exposed to and what you have access to matters. We need to be exposing ourselves to new things.”
“Conversations, the people you're surrounding yourself with, what you're talking about, all this plays a role in your success and the dreams that you want to accomplish.”

Let's just be honest...we are all out here telling lies.
We are bathed and surrounded by a culture of dishonesty. We are constantly lying. From white lies to major deceptions, we avoid telling the truth to protect feelings, serve personal agendas, and maintain false harmony. I'm talking about some of the reasons honesty can be so challenging and what we can do to start telling the truth.
Are you ready to tell the truth?
Episode Gems:
***“When a person lies, it's not about you. When somebody's lying to you, they're not lying to you, they're lying to themselves.”
“We don't want to have difficult conversations. It's easier to ignore and avoid things and just think that they're going to go away.”
“There is so much dishonesty in our daily lives. We lie to ourselves. We lie to other people, we lie to the people who are close to us.”***

In this episode, I touch on how we’ve been conditioned to put on a facade of happiness while dealing with the hard parts of life, internal struggle, and… We lie and say that we’re okay, even when we are not. Instead of talking about our pain, we mask it, cover it up, and pretend like it’s not there. I share why we should give our pain the space to breathe and how acknowledging our challenges can lead to deeper emotional resilience and more authenticity.
This episode reminds us that acknowledging and talking about our dark and painful moments can lead to higher levels of personal growth and deeper human connection.
Episode Reflections:I wonder what the world would be like if we all told the truth about our pain. What would happen if we talked about our dark nights of the soul? How many more people could we connect with and how impactful could we be if we were willing to remove the masks?

Do you have a circle of friends?
A recent social media post about friendship circles inspired me to share my take on the different levels of friendship and how someone moves from our outer circle – acquaintances and colleagues – to the inner circle of people we share our most vulnerable and deepest thoughts and feelings with – our core group of VIP friends. I talk about managing expectations across the circles, the reciprocation of friendship, and the challenges of transitioning friends between the inner and outer circles.
I hope this episode helps you to reflect on your circle of friends and deepens your understanding of the importance of authenticity and connection at each level of friendship.
Episode Gems:***“We are calling people our besties, or we're saying this is the person who's a friend, but are they though? Are they showing up the way that you would want a friend to show up?”
“I think we need to be more critical and we need to really look at who we're letting into that core (friendship) circle.”***

It’s that time of the year again – my solar return around the sun. It’s my birthday!
I’m sharing the ups, downs, and revelations of each decade in my life up to this point. In this episode, I recall lessons from my twenties' uncertainties, the self-assured strides made in my thirties, and the journey to clarity that being in my forties brings. It's a candid conversation about working to maintain a youthful spirit and reshaping attitudes toward aging. This is my version of the story, but it's also an acknowledgment of all the stories contributing to our collective journey toward self-assurance and clarity reached during these personal turning points.
What do birthdays mean to you? How do you celebrate and acknowledge this yearly milestone?
Episode Gems:“I feel like with age comes wisdom, comes experience. I feel like there's a lot of depth and value in becoming older.”
"Over the years I’ve had to challenge myself to think about life in a different way and to really appreciate the things that are being presented to me."

Are you open to new friendships as an adult? How do you approach meeting new people and making friends?
Making new friends in adulthood poses its own set of challenges. In this episode, I talk about the complexities of starting new friendships as an adult and how you can build friendships in different environments and phases of life. This episode was inspired by a conversation I had with friends about how difficult it is to find friendships that “stick”, especially when relocated to a new city. I also share what you can do to open up to new people and create more meaningful friendships.
How do you cultivate new friendships as an adult? Are you all set with your friend circle or do you want to expand it?
Episode Gem:“Every single relationship takes effort, energy, work, & time. You can plant the seed for the friendship, but if you don’t nourish it, water it, or weed the garden it’s not going to grow.”

What are you planting in your garden of life? What seeds are you sowing? If you approach your life like a garden, you can begin to nurture and grow the areas that are most important to you.
In this episode, I talk about how we can choose what we plant in our gardens, and how understanding our values and what's most important to us, determines which seeds we cultivate and nurture to produce what we want in our lives. Is your garden harvest in alignment with your values? I'll share some questions you can ask to test the soil and foundation of what you are planting in your garden.
I hope this episode sparks some ideas about what you’re planting, sowing, and creating in your life.
Episode Gem:
“The garden is important because what you put into your garden is what you get out. What you put into your life is what you get out. What you focus on and what you put your energy into will grow and multiply. We have to really pay attention to what we’re planting in our gardens because we are responsible for our gardens, which means we are responsible for our lives.”

Do you ever wonder if there's a different way, a better way to get something done? Are you over working hard and overworking? In this episode, I reflect on my search for a different way to approach working in a way that feels easier and less hard. I give most of my attention to work and less time to other parts of my life; like fun, a relationship, and having a consistent spiritual practice; all the important parts of life that require time and attention. I believe I can have a life with the money I want, doing the things that I want, and spending time with the people I want, without it always being so hard.
You might be tired of the same old routine or you might want an easier way of working too. If you’re feeling burnt out and you believe there’s a different (maybe even better) way to get things done, this episode is for you.
Are you in search of a different way to approach your career or your life in general? Share your thoughts by reviewing this episode or connecting with me on social media!
Episode Gems:
***“I think you go through phases in your life where you start to assess where you are, what you want, what’s working and what’s not working. Right now, what's not working is the way that I’m working. And what’s not working is how I’m approaching working. And what’s not working is the constant pushing, forcing, and being in situations where I’m feeling drained and obligated.”
“I feel like we tend to sacrifice ourselves, the things that are most important, like our mental, emotional, and physical health, for work.”***

How do you navigate the middle?
If you've ever stood at a crossroads in life, or been caught in the overwhelm of a major decision, transition, or season, then you've been in the middle. The middle is a complex, often uncomfortable place in between a beginning and an ending. It's often the space between where you are right now, and where you want to be.
In this episode, I talk about what it's like to be in the middle and how we spend a lot of time navigating the middle parts of life. I share why it's important to embrace this ever-present space and how we can move through the uncertainty to gain insight into ourselves and what the middle is teaching us about our life's journey.
How do you handle being in the middle? Do you embrace all that comes with it, or do you resist every step of the way? Tell me what resonates with you the most about this episode by sharing your thoughts in a review.
Episode Gems:
*“The middle is significant because we spend a lot of time in the middle, in the middle of life, and most of us don't like being there. Being in the middle is a very uncomfortable place to be.”
“When I think about the middle, it's the journey. It's the essence of life.
“Being in the middle, it's not black and white. That's what makes the middle hard for a lot of people. It's a lot of gray and a lot of nuance and a lot of uncertainty.”*

There is a thin line between feeling inspired and feeling overwhelmed.
Our feelings can become illuminated by social media as we either feel inspired to take action or stuck and overwhelmed by other people's stories and lives. In this episode, I talk about how quickly we can jump from inspiration to overwhelm when feelings of inadequacy surface or we compare ourselves to other people.
Can you recognize the line between inspiration and overwhelm? I'd love to hear your thoughts. If this episode speaks to you, please post a review and share it with a friend!

Are you feeling stuck and stagnant in your life? Do you feel like you're going in circles instead of moving forward?
In this episode, I'm talking about a topic that affects everyone at some point: feeling stuck. We all feel stuck at different times in life. But are we really stuck? I share why being stuck is an illusion and how it's a coverup for the truth behind our inability to move forward. I explore five reasons why we feel stuck and what's actually happening instead. Tune in as I pose questions that will spark introspection and help you take small steps to move forward and get unstuck.
Can you relate to any of the reasons that cause you to feel stuck? If a gem or nugget stands out to you in the conversation, please share your thoughts in a review.
Episode Gem:“Fear is just inevitable. It's going to come up at different points and different times in your life. So if you keep allowing fear to keep you stuck, you're not going to get to where you want to go.”

When everything seems out of order and life is “lifeing”, it can leave us feeling very uncomfortable. This is a sign that it’s time to look at things with a microscope and make decisions to help you get back to a state of ease. I talk about my own uncomfortable seasons and how I navigate distressing times. You’re uncomfortable for a reason. The real question is, “What are you going to do about it?”

Have you ever felt alone in a room full of people?
In this episode, I talk about feeling disconnected in a time when technology keeps us connected via our devices, but real human connection is lacking. I share my thoughts about why it can feel hard to find a connection with people and how the art of conversation is slowly dying. I present a few ideas about ways we can begin to cultivate and preserve meaningful, genuine connections.
I invite you to connect with me or share your thoughts in a review of this episode. See the links below!

When I’m in a funk, it’s hard to focus on anything other than the situation or problem at hand. A funk can feel isolating and never-ending, but we don't always feel safe openly expressing all the emotions that come with the territory.
In this episode, I talk about the importance of creating the space to sit in the messiness of our feelings and work through difficult times by expressing our emotions. Life is about embracing and acknowledging the good and the hard times. I share how feelings of defeat, heartbreak, or sadness are simply the language we speak when navigating dark times. The quickest way out of a funk is to sit in it.
How do you get out of a funk? Do you allow yourself the space to feel and acknowledge all of the emotions that come up? Share your thoughts by leaving a review or connecting with me on Instagram or LinkedIn!
Episode Gem:
“If you can just sit in your feelings and feel through and work through and allow yourself to be a human being and to experience all parts of life; the good, the bad, the ugly, I just think it makes you a much more well-rounded, centered, and inner aware person.”

Are you over being pitched to on social media by people who pretend to like you? I am.
In this episode, I’m griping about being cold-messaged and pitched to in the DMs by people with businesses who are looking for leads and clients. Social media is a great place to connect with others and share offers, products, and services, but I need you guys to keep it real. Stop pretending to like me with the bs you tell about why you want to connect with me. I’m annoyed with the lies. I’ll talk about what I think works better in creating genuine connections, which can lead to better relationships and partnerships.
Tune in to hear why I’m over this fake flattery approach to business and why it doesn’t work for people who want to have authentic connections. If this episode sparks a feeling within you, I’d love it if you would share your thoughts with a review.

Do you ever wonder what you were born to do? Are you looking for your thing? There are people who spend their entire lives searching for their purpose and trying to figure out what they're supposed to do. So, how exactly do you figure out what you’re meant to do?
In this episode, I talk about the answer to the question that we all seek. What’s my thing? You probably know that there is more to life (a bigger purpose), than what you’re doing right now. You may want to contribute to the world and make your mark, or at the very least do the thing that makes you happy and fulfilled. Find out what I learned on my personal quest for purpose and hear what steps you can take to find your own path to purpose. If you’ve ever asked yourself, "Is this it?” or thought "There has to be more to life than this.", you’ll want to tune in.
If you know someone who’s in search of their thing or on a constant quest for purpose, show them love and share this episode! Don't forget to subscribe to the podcast for future episodes.

The journey to motherhood is a special and sensitive one. Some women are able to become mothers with little to no complications, while others experience challenges and pregnancy loss.
In this episode, I’m speaking about motherhood from the perspective of the path that may not lead to becoming a mother. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), as many as 26% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage and up to 10% of clinically recognized pregnancies.
There are women who suffer in silence and don’t talk about or share their pregnancy loss stories. I share my own personal story of pregnancy loss and the emotional post-partum impact it had on me.
If you or someone you know has experienced pregnancy loss and you resonate with this episode, connect with me and share your thoughts.
Episode Gem:
“It doesn't really matter the number of weeks a woman's pregnancy has gone or has lasted. It is still a very devastating loss. It is emotional, it is mental, it is spiritual, all of that."

Do you create the time and space to reflect on a relationship after a breakup or do you quickly jump into a new one? Are you comfortable being alone or do you find yourself always needing to be in a relationship?
A breakup can feel like a death. Instead of taking the time to mourn and feel all the feelings, it’s easier to skip over the painful parts and hop into the next relationship. But what happens when we move on without going through the hurt, the lessons, and the healing? In this episode, I share a few of my own relationship lessons and challenge you to look at your past relationship patterns and use the insights to create and foster better, long-lasting relationships.

Imagine being at a networking event; someone introduces themself to you and within 30 seconds of meeting, hands you a business card and starts going on and on about what they do. How would you feel? Would you be good with it or would it turn you off?
In this episode, I talk about why the traditional way we’ve been taught to network just doesn’t work and how it fails to support authentic connections. I share how the goal of networking should be about creating genuine relationships instead of passing out business cards. I also talk about the concept of “like, know, and trust” and how it’s the foundation of every relationship.
What is your personal experience with networking relationships? Let me know and post a review on how this episode resonated with you!

Do you find yourself adjusting your behavior or demeanor at work, at church, or even at the PTA meeting? Do you show up the same way everywhere with everyone?
In this episode, I talk about my thoughts on a concept called shifting. Shifting is the idea of compromising or changing yourself to fit in or to be accepted in a certain environment. The questions that pop up throughout this episode will help you recognize where you shift and how you shift. Are you suppressing or revealing the real you?
Episode Gem:
“There are sides of us that some people are privileged to see, and then there are sides that some people are not. But it really all boils down to vulnerability; how safe you feel with a person to show them all these sides.”

Have you been talking about the thing you want to do or sitting on an idea you’ve had for a while because you’re waiting for the right time? How would your life be different if you stopped waiting for the perfect time or wishing for more time?
In this episode, I share my two cents about what happens when we keep waiting for the “right time”. I’m challenging the stories we tell ourselves about why we don’t take steps towards the things we say we want. Let’s ask the questions that expose the real reasons we fall into the trap of conditional action. I tell the story of my long-awaited, “spontaneous” trip to Italy and what finally got me there. Is there really such a thing as perfect timing? Tune in to find out!

Have you ever had an idea that made you feel excited and scared at the same time? Did you doubt that you could pull it off? Did you put it to the side hoping it would go away?
I can relate. This podcast is a passion project that I’ve been sitting on for years. I’ve wanted to create a platform where I can be creative and help people uncover the truth about themselves, while also doing something that I LOVE to do – have real, honest conversations. In this episode, I share the story behind starting the “Life in the Middle” podcast. I talk about what makes this podcast different, who I am, and what to expect as we talk about life in the middle.
