The term "body positivity" has gotten some extra attention in the past few years. It's a movement that promotes acceptance of all bodies, regardless of size, shape, skin tone, gender, and physical abilities.
Still, there remain misconceptions about what body positivity means and its true impact. That's where Ms. Sharon Dumas comes in. Sharon started the non-profit Full and Fabulous 40 years ago. The non-profit organization is dedicated to the empowerment of curvy-plus-sized young women. Dumas says no young lady or woman of any ethnicity will ever be excluded from her program.
Please listen to her story, and how she created this amazing mission.

On today’s Speaking Life with Dr. Sabrina, we will dive into the Law of Attraction, Manifestation, and whether or not this philosophy is compatible with the Christian Worldview.
Ever since the publication of the 2006 book The Secret and the 2007 movie of the same name, the law of attraction has circulated in our pop culture vernacular. Oprah Winfrey, Jim Carrey, and other celebrities are big proponents of this movement.
All realities begin in the mind: your beliefs become thoughts, thoughts become words, words become actions, and actions become reality. As you take action towards your dream, the universe will conspire to help you achieve it.
What exactly is this philosophy? Where does it come from? Joining us live on the show today is an expert in this field. Not only does she help people get “unstuck” in their lives - helping them manifest destiny- and life coach Michelle Barr is also a woman of faith.
