Famished for Film is a collaborative effort between the not so brilliant minds of Benjamin Despres and Jackson Mcfadden as they explore the wide array of pretentious film discussion that no one dares to enter. Conversations about what's wrong with modern filmmaking, what underlying hidden gem movies are doing things right, and even a guest here and there along the way are waiting for you in this journey filled with giggles and critical analysis galore.
It doesn’t get worse than this. Free Guy is one of the latest and greatest blockbusters to hit theaters as of late, and it is utter garbage. At least that is the opinion of the two cynics hosting this podcast. Join me and Jackson as we pick apart the utter idiocy that goes into making one of the worst blockbuster films of all time as entirely inept and nauseating as it could possibly be. If you stick around, you might even be able to enjoy an interview with none other than Zoe Dubiski herself as she discusses her love for Studio Ghibli movies, and her annoyance with female representation in modern filmmaking.
There are plenty of films out there that come across as incredibly low effort and stagnant to the average audience member, but what about the films that actually try? Today me and my co-host will be discussing a film within this category known as none other than Baby Driver. This action packed thrill ride of a film pumps adrenaline and creativity up to eleven with it’s exhilarating car chases, and heart bumping choreography that rival that of any action movie. On top of this, we also manage to gain a chance at picking the brain of Jackson Mcfadden himself and his many opinions on film, his preferences when it comes to film watching, and even his enjoyment of anime filmmaking.
