Picture this.. You are sitting in the corner at a get together. As you gaze out into the living room there seems to be utter chaos. Kids running, crying, tripping, yelling, laughing, and the smell of poopy diaper has been in the air for the last 15 minutes. You are conflicted between staying put or getting more involved in the scene. What does getting more involved even look like? What do you do? What do you say!?
Picture this...
You are visiting your family and need to use the bathroom. The rest of the family is in the living room and you are walking back in and just as you are about to enter the safety of the crowd you are stopped and confronted by a young child looking up at you curiously. Time freezes. You have a choice now. This child is looking at you and an opportunity for interaction is right in front of you. Do I interact with this child? What do I say!? What do I do?
Episode three with Jeth Sones.
Picture this.
You are at Thanksgiving Dinner with kids that you see every once in a while. Everyone is stuffed with food, drinking after meal coffee, watching T.V. commercials and contemplating if they should set new year's resolutions or not. Suddenly, "Hey Uncle Sol I am Poopy" says a small voice coming faintly in the left ear. Time freezes and in slow motion you start to turn your head to the giant concerned eyes of a two-your-old that barely manages to utter their words. You are conflicted between the panic of the poopy diaper and excitement that this kid actually knows your name. What do you do!? I mean, what do you say to that!?
Episode two with Seth Jones.
To understand this podcast let me attempt to paint a picture.
Imagine this. You are suddenly surrounded by 6 children under the age of 10. They are starring silently at you and you are starring silently back. You glance up towards the kitchen and see all their parents, your siblings, chatting it up having a good time. You glance back to one picking it's nose, the other with their handle down their diaper, the other not old enough to walk but crawls fast enough to make you question if they really know more than they put off. The next few moments is critical. This is your time to shine. Your time to influence. Your time to show your family you have more to offer than jokes that do not land. But What do you do? What do you Say?
Welcome to The Good Uncle Podcast with two brothers, young uncles of 7, Sol and Seth Jones.
