How to make banana pudding:

  1. Go to the store and buy a few boxes of vanilla (NOT banana) pudding mix (plus milk and whatever else you need for the pudding), bananas, and a box or two of Nilla wafers (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nilla) or your local equivalent.

  2. Cut the bananas into circular pieces roughly the same thickness of the wafers. (You know, normal sliced banana thickness)

  3. Mix the vanilla pudding per the instructions on the box.

  4. Layer the wafers, sliced bananas, and vanilla pudding into a big rectangular pyrex pan in any configuration your heart desires. I recommend a layer of wafers on the bottom. If you want to get fancy, sprinkle some crumbled up wafers on the top.

  5. Cover the dish with saran wrap and put in the fridge for however long the pudding needs to finish setting (an hour or two ought to do it).

  6. Serve with a pancake spatula in tiramisu style slices, or just use a big spoon to scoop it out.
