There a wellness practice that’s lumped under the label of “new age” that’s been around for centuries and that is mindfulness. But what is it? What does it do? And does it really WORK.

Mindfulness often gets lumped in with meditation but what it comes down to is this:

Paying attention on purpose.

Noticing.

Getting curious.

And, according to Rosa Castano, it is the secret tool you can start using today for stress management and, more specifically, handling things that come up that you automatically react to. (Especially in the workplace, but really in all facets of life!)

Listen in and learn:

  • How to incorporate little mindfulness moments throughout your day;
  • How mindfulness affects your response to stress;
  • Our responding instinct (and how to put it on pause); and
  • Using habit stacking to your mindfulness advantage.

Plus, listen for the holisti-somatic history lesson on CBD. 🌿
MORE ABOUT ROSA:
Rosa Castano has had a 15+ yrs corporate career, in all types of settings from small businesses, freshly minted startups, and large, diverse non-profit corporations. She has worked both in the domestic & international sectors. Like many others, she was forced to pivot to a new path after the COVID-19 global pandemic put a halt to her career. The shift allowed her to take the time to re-evaluate her career aspirations. As a certified Meditation, Mindfulness, and Movement leader, she decided to combine her passion for Well-Being and experience in the Corporate world to create Stress Management Workshops and talks. Her unique understanding of the stressors and joys of the workplace makes her an ideal expert for working with companies to help implement strategies and lead workshops to help create resilience and emotional well-being in the workplace.

Are you in business for yourself? Is flexibility one of the top reasons why you started your own business?

If this sounds like you and you're not taking time to do what you love, we gotta have a heart to heart. Because the ability to do what you want to do is worthless if you’re not taking advantage of it!

My friend, Katie Hollowell, is really good about taking time off from her business guilt-free.

In this episode, you’ll hear:

  • How a “keep going no matter what”-style sales training shaped how she approaches work today
  • The role positive self-talk has played in her personal and professional life
  • The ways Katie listens to her mind and body (and sometimes, silence)
  • Taking care of your business when you’re on vacation (so you can, you know, actually enjoy your vacation)
  • Why practicing saying “no” to clients is essential, even when it’s scary

Plus, listen in for the holisti-somatic history lesson on lepidolite. 🔮
