Today we read the entire Olivet Discourse as found in Matthew 24. We look at near and far fulfillment of prophecy and how to live today in light of the prophecies outlined in Jesus' teachings.
Day 8 on The Road to Life.
Today we look at two examples of giving. First, in Luke 22:1-4, we read about a widow giving all she had to live on. Then, in Mark 14:3-9, we read about a woman anointing Jesus' head with a costly perfume.
The Road to Life - Day 7.
The religious leaders try to trap Jesus in his words in Mark 12:13-34. Jesus answers difficult questions about death and taxes. Then he tells us the most important two commandments.
Day 6 - The Parable of the Wedding Banquet.
Today we read Matthew 22:1-14. Jesus tells the story of a wedding banquet to parallel God's invitation to the kingdom of Heaven.
Day 5 - The Parable of the Tenants.
Today we read a parable of Jesus found in Mark 12:1-12. Jesus confronts the religious leaders through the story of a vineyard owner, his teneants, and the servants sent to collect the fruit of the vineyard.
Day 4 - Confrontation.
Today's reading is found in Matthew 21:23-27. We hear the religious leaders question Jesus' authority.
Day 3 - Jesus clears the Temple.
Today we read Mark 11:12-18. As Jesus clears the temple, he reminds the people that God's temple should be a house of prayer. We look at how our lives should also be driven by placing God first in what we do and say.
Day 2 - Palm Sunday - Rejoice!
Today we look at the events of Palm Sunday as shared by Luke as we read Luke 19:28-40. We look at the emotional response of the people to Jesus riding into town on a donkey and the resultant praise.
