What if the thing you’re searching for… is something you already have?
We spend so much of life chasing what’s next that we can become blind to what’s already in front of us.
In this episode of The Unseen Truth, we unpack a powerful old story about love, loss, familiarity, and the things we don’t fully appreciate until they begin to disappear.
🎧 In this episode:
• Why what was once new eventually becomes normal...and what becomes normal becomes numb
• The heartbreaking story of a husband who learns to see his wife again when it may already be too late
• Why familiarity can quietly make us stop noticing the people we love
• How “I’ll do it tomorrow” steals moments we can never get back
• Why some of the things we complain about today are things someone else is praying for
• The question that could completely change the way you look at your life: What have I stopped noticing?
❤️ Your children.
🏠 Your home.
🙏 Your health.
📞 The person who still calls.
🐾 The dog waiting at the door.
🤝 The hand that still reaches for yours.
One day, today’s ordinary life will become a memory.
So notice it while it’s here.
Because what was once new becomes normal…
and what becomes normal can become numb.
Hold on to what you have now, so it doesn’t become just a sad memory in a song.

🎙️ THE UNSEEN TRUTHThe Lost Art of Being Still
🚗 What if the answer you've been searching for isn't found in another podcast, another book, another relationship, or another breakthrough...
...but in five minutes of silence?
In this deeply personal episode, Joffrey takes you back to a childhood road trip—an Oldsmobile, a Frank Sinatra cassette, and a quiet desert highway—where boredom became the birthplace of imagination.
From a line at Knott's Berry Farm to Elijah's cave in 1 Kings, this episode explores why we're so uncomfortable with stillness, why we're constantly reaching for the next distraction, and how God often speaks not through the noise—but through the whisper.
If you've been feeling overwhelmed, distracted, anxious, or spiritually distant... this conversation might be exactly what your soul has been waiting for.

⏳ Time Is the Lock, and Patience Is the Key
Get the waterworks ready, this one may hit a little deeper.
As a child, I had a small gray metal bank from Mexico. It had no key...only a combination, a series of careful twists and turns, and the patience to keep trying.
Decades later, I gave that same bank to my son.
Now I watch his small hands turn the same dial mine once did, imagining the treasure hidden inside.
The funny part?
There is nothing in it.
And yet, somehow, it holds more treasure now than it ever could have back then.
In this episode of The Unseen Truth, we explore:
🔐 Why having the right combination doesn’t always mean the door will open
⏰ The difference between a closed door and a door whose time has not come
💭 How waiting can feel like rejection, silence, or abandonment
🌱 Why patience is not doing nothing, it is allowing something to become ready
🙏 What it really means to “be still and know”
👨👦 How time can turn an ordinary childhood object into something priceless
✨ Why the greatest treasure may not be behind the door, but formed while we wait in front of it
Some doors are not opened by more force.
They are opened by time.
Time is the lock. Patience is the key.
And sometimes, the treasure you spent years trying to find inside something… becomes the person standing beside you, trying to open it now.

The Man Who Believed Love Didn't Exist, and Why You Should Believe Him
What if the people we love were never meant to carry our happiness?
In this episode of The Unseen Truth, Joffrey shares a powerful story about a man who spent his entire life believing that love didn't exist... only to unexpectedly find it.
But the real lesson isn't about love.
It's about ownership.
Somewhere along the way, many of us begin placing our joy, identity, peace, and self-worth into the hands of other people—our spouse, our children, our careers, our success, or even the approval of others.
And when those things change...
it can feel like our entire world shatters.
Maybe not because something was stolen...
but because we unknowingly handed it away.
💫 In this episode, we explore:
• Why relationships were never meant to complete us
• The hidden danger of outsourcing your happiness
• How love can become unhealthy without us realizing it
• The difference between sharing joy and depending on someone else to create it
• Why two whole people create healthier love than two people trying to fix each other
• The question we all need to ask ourselves:
Who's holding your star?
✨ The Unseen Truth:
Love was never meant to carry your happiness.
It was meant to share it.

In a world obsessed with quick results, instant success, and highlight reels, it's easy to mistake silence for failure. But what if God is doing His greatest work beneath the surface?

🎙️ What Dogs Know about Happiness (And What They Can Teach Us)
A dog doesn't care about your income.
Your followers.
Your job title.
Or what kind of car you drive.
They care that you're here.
In this episode, Joffrey reflects on a simple meme, a loyal dog, and a lesson most of us spend our lives forgetting:
✨ Be present.
✨ Appreciate what you already have.
✨ Celebrate the people sitting beside you.
✨ Stop waiting for happiness to arrive.
Sometimes the greatest wisdom doesn't come from a book, a seminar, or a social media guru.
Sometimes it comes from a dog waiting at the front door.
🐕 In this episode:
• Why dogs may understand happiness better than people
• The hidden cost of always chasing "the next thing"
• How presence can transform relationships
• Why so many people feel unseen today
• The lesson your dog teaches every day without saying a word
• The difference between having more and appreciating more

And being fully present for the people already sitting beside you."

This episode carries a little more weight than most.
Not because it's about prayer.
But because it's about a conversation with my daughter and God.
Every night before bed, we pray together. Like many families, we've said the Lord's Prayer countless times. But recently I found myself wondering:
What if God answered?
Not with thunder.
Not with a miracle.
Not someday.
What if He answered right now?
What follows is a simple but powerful journey through the prayer Jesus taught us all to pray, seen through the eyes of a girl named Torrey and the loving responses of a Father who has been listening all along.
This episode is deeply personal for me because my daughter helped inspire it, and I believe it captures something many of us need to hear:
You are not praying into the darkness.
You are speaking to a God who hears.
Whether your faith is strong, struggling, or somewhere in between, my hope is that this conversation helps you slow down, listen, and perhaps hear familiar words in a completely new way.
If this episode touches your heart, share it with someone you love—especially a child, parent, friend, or anyone who needs a reminder that they are not alone.

There's a question an old man was once asked after fifty years of marriage.
His answer will change the way you think about love, growth, and the person staring back at you in the mirror.
In this episode of The Unseen Truth, we're going deeper than "people change." Because the real conversation isn't just about them — it's about you.
🔍 What we unpack in this episode:
• 💍 Why the person you fell in love with literally doesn't exist anymore — and what to do about it • 🪞 The changes happening inside you that you've never stopped to acknowledge • 🧠 Why some of us became bitter and called it wisdom — guarded and called it strength — lonely and called it independence • 💔 Why most relationships don't end because people changed — they end because nobody ever talked about it • 🔄 What it actually looks like to keep choosing someone through every version of who they're becoming
This episode isn't a marriage episode.
It's not a breakup episode.
It's a mirror episode.
The kind that makes you pause, rewind, and sit with something you didn't expect to feel.

🎙️ NEW EPISODE: One Nail Removes Another
🔨 The Unseen Truth with Joffrey Gurule
Growing up, I heard an old Spanish saying:
"Un clavo saca otro clavo."
"One nail removes another nail."
Most people use it when talking about heartbreak.
💔 Lost a relationship?
💔 Got your heart broken?
💔 Trying to move on?
Just find someone new.
But what if we've misunderstood the saying all along?
In this deeply personal episode, I share memories of my grandfather working with wood, removing old nails, and teaching me a lesson I wouldn't fully understand until decades later.
Maybe healing isn't about replacing people.
Maybe it's about allowing God, the Master Builder, to remove what's still buried deep inside us so He can build something stronger.
✨ In this episode:
• The hidden meaning behind "Un clavo saca otro clavo"
• Why people aren't disposable
• What heartbreak really leaves behind
• How God heals wounds instead of covering them
• The powerful lesson my grandfather taught me about rebuilding
• Why the next chapter isn't about a new nail... but the right one
🙏 If you've experienced heartbreak...
🙏 If you're rebuilding after loss...
🙏 If you're learning to trust God's timing...

THE UNSEEN TRUTH 🎙️Episode: When God Gives You More Than You Have to Give
The other day at the swap meet, all it took was two dollars to remind me of something I think we all forget.
Sometimes we spend our lives trying to earn everything…
love, success, approval, healing, peace.
But what if the greatest things in your life were never things you could fully earn in the first place?
In this deeply personal episode of The Unseen Truth, Joffrey shares a simple moment with his children that unexpectedly became a conversation with God about grace, fatherhood, provision, and the quiet ways heaven covers the difference when we don’t have enough.
This isn’t just about parenting.
It’s about all of us.
🎧 In this episode:
“You don’t have enough — so I’ll cover the difference.”
This episode is for:
🎬 Cinematic callback:
At the beginning, it’s just a father giving his daughter two extra dollars.
By the end, you realize…
maybe your entire life has been built on God covering differences you could never afford yourself.

Two people can both say:
💔 “I’ve been hurt before…”
But one speaks from a scar…
…and the other is still speaking from a wound.
In this deeply personal episode, I open up about heartbreak, emotional attachment, loneliness, healing, and the dangerous difference between surviving pain… and actually healing from it.
This episode dives into:
👇
🩹 Why wounded people tolerate instability
🚩 How we ignore red flags to avoid loneliness
🧠 Why mixed signals can become emotionally addictive
💔 The truth about chasing closure
🙏 Why another person cannot heal what only God, truth, time, and accountability can heal
⚠️ How unhealed wounds affect dating, relationships, and self-worth
✨ The difference between pain that shaped you… and pain that still controls you
One of the most powerful realizations from this episode:
“Wounds will negotiate with things scars would walk away from immediately.”
And maybe the hardest truth of all:
“If every text, conversation, and mixed signal still controls your mood and steals your peace… that’s not healed. That’s active.”
🙏 My prayer for anyone listening:
I pray God heals your wounds.
I pray He covers your scars with wisdom.
And I pray those same scars one day become stars… reminders of how far you’ve come from the darkest moments of your life back into the light.

Someone looked at me and said,
“You look very wrinkly.”
Was that honesty…

Because people love to hide behind:

👉 Truth without delivery can still do damage.
🔥 In this episode:
⚡ The Line That Changed It:

👉 Did it come with care?
👉 Or did it come with intent to cut?

What I saw in two different cities… within 24 hours… changed the way I look at money forever.
One day, I’m in Newport Coast—
🌊 Ocean views
🏌️♂️ Golf courses
🏎️ Exotic cars everywhere
The next day…
I’m in a struggling neighborhood.
And right there, side by side:
🏪 A check-cashing store
🧺 A laundromat
And it hit me…
Why is it that the people with the least… often pay the most?
In this episode of The Unseen Truth, I break down a powerful concept most people never think about:
👉 The Poverty Premium
👉 Why access—not income—often determines your financial reality
👉 And how your relationship with money is formed long before wealth shows up
I also share personal stories that shaped how I see value:
💼 Buying my first “expensive” belt at 19—and still owning it today
🚗 Saving for months to buy my first car
👕 Growing up not knowing if we were rich or poor—but learning to take care of what we had
We also unpack lessons from

and what separates people who build wealth from those who spend it

💭 Am I building assets… or just buying appearances?

Who Are You?The Unseen Truth with Joffrey Gurule
Who are you… really?
Not your job.
Not your titles.
Not what people say about you.
Who are you?
In this episode of The Unseen Truth, Joffrey shares a powerful story about identity, purpose, and the questions that quietly shape every human life.
It begins with an old wartime story.
A priest stopped by a soldier with a rifle… and asked three simple questions:
Who are you?
Why are you here?
Where are you going?
But those weren’t just security questions.
They were life questions.
And sometimes the most important questions we face are the ones we avoid asking ourselves.
Years later, a conversation at church about identity comes full circle — reminding us that the words we speak can stay with someone for years… and that the search for who we are is something every person must eventually face.
This episode is about identity, transition, and becoming who you were meant to be.
In this episode we explore:
🧠 Why most people can describe what they do… but struggle to explain who they are
⏳ How seasons of transition — divorce, career change, loss, rebuilding — force us to rediscover identity
💬 The quiet power of words that mentors, teachers, and leaders speak into someone’s life
🧭 Why identity is the foundation of direction
🔥 And the three questions that can change the trajectory of your life
The questions that matter most:
❓ Who are you?
❓ Why are you here?
❓ Where are you going?
Sometimes life forces those questions on us.
But you don’t have to wait for a crisis…
a stranger…
or a soldier with a rifle pointed at you…
to answer them.
You can start today.

💰 WHAT'S THE CHEAPEST YOU EVER SOLD YOURSELF FOR?
Not just money. Your time. Your effort. Your loyalty. Your love.
For me? It was $10.
I was 13 years old, working my tail off on a half-acre disaster of a yard in the California heat. Weeds three feet high. Broken bikes. Car parts. Rocks everywhere.
By the end of the day, I was drenched, exhausted, and proud of the work I'd done.
He reached into his pocket… and handed me ten dollars.
That moment taught me a lesson I've never forgotten.
🔥 IN THIS EPISODE, YOU'LL LEARN:
💎 Why people undervalue your effort — and it's not what you think
📦 The one-year-old and the Ferrari — why capacity matters more than intent
⚖️ The truth about expectations — if you don't set them, someone else will (and they'll set them low)
🪞 The mirror moment — you're thinking about who undervalued you… but someone's remembering how YOU devalued them
🛡️ How to protect your gold — and stop giving it to people who only see weight
💡 THE UNSEEN TRUTH:
Not everyone deserves your gold.
Not everyone is ready for your gold.
And if you keep giving it to people who can't recognize it… you'll walk away feeling like that 13-year-old kid holding $10, wondering what just happened.
⚡ THIS EPISODE WILL HIT YOU IF:
✓ You've ever felt undervalued at work
✓ You've given everything to someone who didn't appreciate it
✓ You're tired of being the one who always shows up
✓ You've questioned your worth after being treated poorly
✓ You're ready to set expectations and stop selling yourself short
🎙️ QUOTES THAT WILL STAY WITH YOU:
"You can give someone gold… and if they're not ready for it, they'll just see it as weight."
"If you don't set expectations, people will set them for you. And most of the time? They'll set them low."
"Character reveals itself in small moments. How someone treats someone who's younger, less experienced… tells you everything."
"We've all been the person receiving the $10 bill. And we've all been the person handing it out."
"The way you treat people when you have the power? That's not just character. That's priceless."
🔨 THE LESSON:
Set expectations.
Know your value.
Be the kind of person who recognizes gold when someone else brings it.
And if you ever get that job offer again?
Give them your estimate first.

Growing up, Friday night Chinese takeout wasn't just dinner. It was an event. And the best part? Those old-school fortune cookies made of sugar and magic. As kids, we believed every word like God was speaking directly to us.
But here's what hit me: the way we treat those fortune cookies is exactly how most people treat money.
In this episode, I break down the five fortune cookies of wealth—five stages we're all supposed to move through, but most people get stuck in stage one, forever chasing, forever hustling, never moving into stewardship, wisdom, or legacy.
🥠 THE FIVE FORTUNE COOKIES:
🥠 Fortune Cookie #1: Childhood (Making Money)
Pure belief. Anything is possible. But most people stay stuck here—always chasing the next thing, never learning strategy, never moving beyond belief into building.
🥠 Fortune Cookie #2: Youth (Growing Money)
You're not just believing anymore—you're building. Figuring out the formula. Ambitious. Restless. Hungry. "God will provide... but I better work my ass off just in case."
🥠 Fortune Cookie #3: Adulthood (Saving Money)
This one hits different. Bills. Pressure. Heartbreak. Prayers that felt unanswered. This is where most people live their entire lives—exhausted, stuck, wondering if the first two fortunes were lies.
🥠 Fortune Cookie #4: Maturity (Enjoying Money)
You've learned that life doesn't move on predictions—it moves on decisions. You've stopped waiting for permission and started walking in obedience. Joy isn't selfish. It's part of the plan.
🥠 Fortune Cookie #5: Legacy (Leaving Money)
This one isn't for you. It's about what you pass on. The words you speak over your children when they can't see their own light yet. The way you live your faith so they know God is still good—even when life breaks you down.
💡 THE UNSEEN TRUTH:
Fortunes don't come true because they're on paper.
They come true because we make them come alive.
Through the way we love.
The way we lead.
The way we let God use our brokenness to build something beautiful in the next generation.
🎙 This episode will make you rethink everything about money, faith, and what you're actually building.
God gives us five fortune cookies.
Make sure you open the last one.

🍬 Why you are still raising your hand.
I remember fifth grade. Mr. Edison's red licorice. Answer correctly, get the treat. Simple. Clean. Conditioned.
But here's the unseen truth: You never stopped playing that game.
In this episode of The Unseen Truth, we pull back the curtain on the mesolimbic dopamine system—the ancient circuit in your brain that fires when you anticipate a reward. Not when you get it. When you chase it.
🎰 The slot machine in your pocket.
Social media. Credit card points. Performance reviews. Relationships. We've upgraded the candy, but the game is the same: Do good → Get treat. And when the treat doesn't come? Your brain registers it as physical pain.
🧠 The neuroscience will surprise you.
📊 The personal story will convict you.
🔑 The revelation will free you.
This isn't about motivation. It's about sovereignty.
What you'll discover: ✅ Why uncertainty hooks you harder than guaranteed rewards
✅ The MRI study that proves rejection literally hurts
✅ How fear becomes the most powerful reward system
✅ The moment you stop performing for treats—and start deciding what counts as a win
🎯 The question that changes everything:
Who controls your reward center?
If other people control the drawer... they control you.
But what if you could anchor your sense of worth to something internal? To discipline. To courage. To character. To obedience to God.
Because the goal of life isn't to collect licorice.
It's to decide what counts as a reward.
🔊 Perfect for:
Anyone tired of performing for applause
Leaders navigating rejection
People who feel controlled by external validation
Anyone ready to take back the drawer
⚡ This episode will make you rethink every "ding" on your phone.
🎧 Listen. Reflect. Take back the drawer.

The Story They'll Tell About You 🪑
Someday, your kids are going to sit at a table without you. And they'll tell a story about who you were. But here's the thing—you don't get to control that story then. You only get to shape it now.
In this episode:
🪞 A dentist appointment that changed everything
☕ Saturday morning cereal bowls and the Lakers box score
🔥 S'mores, trampolines, and the moments you didn't plan
💭 The look in the mirror that stopped time
🏠 Why legacy isn't built in the highlights—it's built in the margins
Joffrey reflects on catching his daughter looking at him through the dentist office mirror—half smiling, half thoughtful—like she was etching him into memory. It was a random Wednesday. A work day. An appointment he almost didn't show up to. But she noticed.
The unseen truth:
✅ They won't remember every lecture
✅ They won't remember your perfect moments
✅ They'll remember how you made them feel
✅ They'll remember if you showed up when you didn't have to
This isn't about being perfect. It's about being present.
Because one day, they'll sit at a table without you. And the story they tell won't be about what you accomplished—it'll be about how you made them feel.

🛒 Lost in the Department Store
Remember that feeling? The moment you realized your parents weren't there. The aisles got longer. The ceiling got higher. Everything felt… unfamiliar.
In the 80s, there was an intercom. A voice that called your name. A path back to safety.
But as adults? There's no announcement system for when life comes at you from all directions. No customer service desk for overwhelm. No one paging your purpose over the loudspeaker.
So what do we do when we don't know which way to go? 🤷♂️
In this episode, I share two conversations that broke my heart open—a young woman asking "How do I know if I'm doing life right?" and a successful business owner admitting "I just feel overwhelmed… I don't know which direction to go next."
And I share what happened the night I was driving home, sunroof open, and saw one bright star. ✨

🚨 I Held A Door Open. She Looked At Me Like I Just Committed A Felony. 🚨
No joke. No exaggeration. Just a guy at the gym trying to be polite in 2026.
Apparently, that's problematic now. 🙃
👉 In this episode:
The stank face heard 'round the world 😤
Why the nuns LIED to me about chivalry ⛪
The 10% who turned manners into a war zone 📱💣
How you lose whether you hold the door OR don't 🤷♂️
The Lululemon lady who walked past me like I'm palace staff 👑
The hard truth? Most people still appreciate basic decency. But good luck knowing which people before it's too late.
This isn't about dating. This isn't about gender wars. This is about saying thank you when someone does something nice.
But apparently… that's asking too much.

✔️ Held a door and got zero acknowledgment
✔️ Been called "patronizing" for being polite

🎹 The Piano God Kept For Me
When my grandparents passed away, the only thing I wanted was an old piano.
It wasn't worth much. In fact, it cost MORE to move than it was worth. 💸
But they didn't know the story...
They didn't know about the little boy who sat at those keys 👦🏻, banging away with no rhythm, believing he was a master pianist playing for thousands. 🎭✨
They didn't know about the grandmother who sat behind him 👵🏻—hands busy with needle and thread 🪡—watching his soul fill up. 💛
She never corrected him. Never told him he was playing wrong.
Because that's what love does. ❤️
It doesn't correct the song. It makes space for you to sing it. 🎶
Last week, my 5-year-old sat down at those same keys and started playing. 🎹👨👦
And I realized: This piano wasn't something I kept. It was something GOD kept for me. 🙏✨
After my grandparents died, I found myself asking: "Who am I playing for when no one's in the room?" 🤔💭
But I was asking the wrong question.
The real question is: Did you play your song for someone you love while they were in the room? 🎵💕
And if you did—that's more than enough. ✨
Maybe your piano isn't a piano. 🎹
Maybe it's: ⚾ Playing catch in the backyard 🍪 Baking cookies in the kitchen
🏊♂️ Swimming on a hot summer day 💃 An impromptu dance party in the living room 🚗🎤 Singing your favorite song on a road trip
But it's that moment—that experience—where the crowds don't matter. 🌍❌
Just the person right there... with you. 👨👩👧👦💛

🚗 Don't Beat Up the Honor Roll Kids: A Diatribe
I'm three words into my Bible and my brain's already hijacked by raw milk Instagram videos. Does it cure anxiety or just give you food poisoning? 🥛😵💫
This week my devotional word was: honor...and how we went from wholesome bumper stickers to… well, crying over AI otter videos while scrolling past prayer requests. 🦦💔
We don't honor teachers anymore—we honor Frenchies with daily outfit posts. 🐶👗 We don't honor sacrifice—we honor fake dating videos and robots doing TikTok dances. 🤖💃
But there's a Greek word: timē. It means weight. Value. What you actually spend your life on—not what you say matters.
What does your screen time honor? Your bank account? The way you talk to yourself at 2 a.m.?
You're already wearing a bumper sticker. Every single day. The question is: what does it say? 🚙
The world doesn't need more honor roll kids. It needs people who live honorably.

📝 Asking for a Friend
Remember passing notes in middle school? ✉️ That nervous moment when you sent your friend to ask if your crush liked you back? Turns out, we never really stopped doing that—we just got better at hiding it. 👀
In this episode, we're pulling back the curtain on the phrase we all use: "Asking for a friend." Because underneath the joke is something we all struggle with—the fear of rejection, the cost of courage, and the growth that comes when we finally stop hiding behind messengers.
🎯 Key Takeaways:
💡 The Big Question: What box are you checking right now? Yes, No, or Maybe?
Whether you're sending the email, making the call, or finally having that conversation you've been avoiding—this episode is your sign. 🚀

🎙️ Life Is Short… Eat The Cake 🍰
What if the most spiritual thing you could do this week is stop living like you're on punishment?
On a two-mile hike up Holy Cross Trail in Palm Desert, I had a conversation with a wise businesswoman named Maria that stopped me in my tracks. She said something so simple it sounded like a meme—but it hit like a wake-up call:
"Life is short… eat the cake."
In this episode, we unpack: ✨ Why we keep postponing joy, presence, and love ⚠️ Three lies that keep us from actually living 🎯 The "3 Slices of Cake Challenge" (practical steps you can take THIS WEEK) 💡 What it means to enjoy God's gifts without worshiping them
This isn't about being reckless. It's about recognizing that tomorrow is not promised. Your life can change in a blink. So stop waiting for the "perfect season" and start living the one you're in.
Because if you keep delaying… you might win a lot and still miss your life.

🚗 Michael Scott drove into a lake because he trusted his GPS.
I followed my own confident voice... straight into a dead end.
💔 Here's what nobody talks about: Sometimes the voice that sounds like wisdom is just pain dressed up as fear.
After the relationship ends. After the business fails. After the dream dies. That's when the voice shows up—calm, protective, convincing:
"Don't try again. Pull back. Stay safe."
But that's not wisdom. That's survival mode trying to steer your life.

❤️ "Follow your heart"? Our feelings lie too.

There's a W in the word "two."
You don't say it... but it's there. 👻
It used to be spoken—centuries ago. Then we stopped. The letter stayed. The sound disappeared.
And I think that's what kills love.

They're still there... you just stopped saying them.

Is the New Year: A Sunset or a Sunrise?
🌅 There's a moment between the sunset and the sunrise that nobody talks about.
It's not the beginning.
It's not the ending.
It's the space between—where most of life actually happens.
💔 Not every new year feels new.
Some years end with loose ends.
Some end with grief.
Some end with lessons you didn't ask for.
And the temptation? Sprint into January. Pretend you don't feel the weight. Force the fresh start.
But here's the truth:
You don't enter a new season clean by ignoring the last one.
You enter it clean by closing what needs closing.
📝 This episode is about creating your SUNSET LIST.
Not written in anger.

They end because they WORKED.

🪑 Three Chairs. Three Generations. One Moment That Changes Everything.
Life doesn’t move in leaps—it moves in next steps. And sometimes, one moment in a room full of strangers shows you exactly where you’ve been, where you are, and where you’re going.
💔 I’m sitting at my nephew’s graduation—watching him step into his future at 22, the same age I thought I had it all figured out. Next to me, his nephew—barely 2 years old—learning to sit still. And me? In my 40s, facing divorce, watching decades of work crumble, wondering if I just lost it all at the table.
🎓 Same room. Same reason. Completely different lessons.
This episode isn’t about inspiration—it’s about survival.
✅ What do you do when the plan collapses?
✅ How do you rebuild when everything you built is gone?
✅ What’s the difference between losing a hand and losing the game?

Sometimes God's best sermons don't come from the pulpit—they come from your living room floor.
This week, a simple worship lyric—"Everything I need, my Father has it"—hit me different. Why? Because just 24 hours earlier, I lived out this exact truth with my son, a missing toy, and a full-blown meltdown that would rival any 1985 horror film.
In this episode, I share the hilarious (and convicting) story of how my son's trust issues with a lost toy became a mirror for how we all panic when we can't see what God's holding.
Featuring:
If you've ever lost your peace, your direction, or your mind wondering where God is… this one's for you.
Long Version (Extended show notes/website):
Episode Overview:
What if the most profound sermon you heard this week didn't come from a pastor—but from a crying child and a missing toy?
This Sunday morning, I was at church when the worship leader sang: "Everything I need, my Father has it."
Simple line. Powerful truth.
But it hit me different because I'd just lived it out the day before with my son in the most hilariously convicting way possible.
What You'll Hear:
🎙️ The Church Setup — How a worship lyric became a divine setup for a personal sermon
🧸 The Toy Crisis — My son's full nuclear meltdown over a missing toy (complete with 1985 slasher-film-level drama)
👨👦 80s Dad Protocol — Channeling Mr. Miyagi and Uncle Jesse to calm the chaos
❓ Trust Issues (Preschool Edition) — "Have I ever let you down? Do you trust me?" (Spoiler: He did NOT answer well)
🎯 The Plot Twist — I had the toy the WHOLE time (cue the divine mic drop)
✨ The Unseen Truth — How this became the sermon I didn't know I needed
The Big Takeaway:
You might not be able to see your future, but you can trust the One who holds it.
Just like my son couldn't see his toy while I was holding it the entire time, we often panic, stress, and flip out over things God already has in His hands.
Your peace? He's got it.
Your healing? He's holding it.
Your breakthrough? Already secured.
Your future? Safe in His hands.
Sometimes the blessing isn't in what you can see—it's in WHO is holding it while you can't.

🎈 My son let go of his red balloon by accident. It flew away, and he cried—because he wanted THAT one. Not another balloon. That one.

In 1986, Cleveland released 1.5 million balloons to prove they still mattered.
The sky filled with color. Hope rose.
Then a storm hit. The balloons crashed down. Streets jammed. Two men drowned in Lake Erie—lost in a sea of balloons that were supposed to bring joy.
What was meant to lift them... buried them.
💔 This episode is about:
⚠️ This one hits different.
If you're holding something broken tonight... if you've been reaching for something already gone... if you've ever watched something you love float away and wondered if you'll survive it—
This episode is for you.
🎧 Listen with headphones. Give yourself 20 minutes. And hold on to what matters.
Because balloons are meant to fly.
But you? You're meant to stand.
This is The Unseen Truth.
The red balloon is gone. And it's never coming back.
But you're still here.
And that means God's not finished with you yet. 🙏

When Did Thanksgiving Die? 🦃💀
We traded family dinners for doorbuster deals and swapped gratitude for group chats. Friendsgiving has better attendance than actual Thanksgiving, and nobody wants to talk about it.
This episode unpacks how we went from overflowing tables at grandma's house to checking our phones under the table—and why Pastor Mike McClure Jr.'s message "Too Blessed To Not Be Thankful" might be the wake-up call we didn't know we needed.
In This Episode:
The Bottom Line: Are you building monuments to inconvenience or running a spiritual surplus? It's time to fire the bouncer named Entitlement and remember: gratitude isn't a transaction, it's a posture. You're too blessed to not be thankful.
⏱️ Runtime: 6 minutes
🎯 Perfect For: Anyone who needs a reality check before the holidays, people tired of performative gratitude, listeners ready to become Gratitude Owners
Stay grateful. Stay grounded. Stay blessed. ✨

There are mornings you wake up and it feels like the whole world is pushing against your chest.
Your mind is loud.
Your heart is tired.
Your faith is on the edge.
And still… you rise.
You step into that unseen arena—
the battlefield between who you were and who God is calling you to be. ⚔️
This episode is that moment.
Not a pep talk.
Not motivation.
A war cry.
🔥 From the tension of standing alone in the arena…
🔥 To running through the dark at 5AM, chased by doubt, fear, and every word spoken against you…
🔥 To realizing the real enemy was never “them”—
it was the voice inside that told you you wouldn’t survive this…
You’ll walk through spiritual warfare, fatherhood, faith, pain, K-Pop Demon Hunters, and the kind of battles only God can prepare you for.
This episode is a reminder:
You’re not fighting people.
You’re fighting spiritual battles that require spiritual strength.
And when you start walking in that strength?
Everything that tried to break you becomes evidence of why you can’t be broken. 🛡️
✨ THE UNSEEN TRUTH:
Some storms don’t come to destroy you.
They come to clear your path.
This is an episode you don’t listen to…
You feel it.
You breathe it.
You walk away different.

but neither are you.

I Just Wanted a Coffee… and Realized Why Everyone’s Falling Apart
TRUTH SESSION
Today’s episode began with something simple — a plain black coffee.
But somewhere between the oat milk, almond milk, macadamia milk, and a barista offering spiritual guidance through foam art… I had a moment. A real epiphany. The kind that sneaks up on you in public and quietly rewires the way you see life.
We live in a world that has turned the simplest things into complicated performances.
Coffee became a personality test.
Opinions became TED Talks typed on cracked iPhones.
And somehow, “I’m unbothered” became a seven-slide PowerPoint with timestamps and Drake lyrics.
In this raw, unedited truth session, I break down:
And yet… the answer is simpler than we think.
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is sit with a black coffee, breathe, and tell the truth — not the story you’ve built around yourself.
If this blesses you, good.
If it offends you, maybe you needed it.
Either way… welcome to The Unseen Truth.

A Story About Love Stronger Than Fear
What if the person you loved most could no longer see who you truly are?
The Mirror that Lied is a modern parable told in cinematic, Disney-style narration—an emotional story of a father, a daughter, and a spell of deception that only love can break. Inspired by real-life trials of faith, family, and redemption, this episode invites listeners to rediscover what it means to lead with heart when the world twists your reflection.
With award-winning storytelling, original music, and a voice that carries both pain and power, creator Joffrey Gurule turns heartbreak into hope—transforming a deeply personal experience into a universal message about forgiveness, truth, and the unbreakable bond between parent and child.
💫 Why listeners love it:

🎙️ From Bitter Lemons to Sweet Blessings 🍋➡️🍹
Life isn’t always sweet—sometimes it puckers your lips and makes you squint 👀. I’ve been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate, a poet, a pawn, and a king—and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: when life knocks you flat, you can get back in the race 🏃♂️.
Growing up, my abuelita taught me something powerful in her backyard “Sprouts before Sprouts” garden 🌱. Her secret? When life handed me bitter fruit, she added a little azúcar (sugar)… and turned it into something I could actually enjoy.
That’s life. Bitter + sweet = balance.
👉 Separation, loss, betrayal—yeah, they leave a bad taste.
👉 But gratitude? That’s the sugar that transforms it. 🙏✨
This episode will make you laugh, nod your head, maybe even tear up—and most of all, it’ll remind you that God can take the bitter and stir in His goodness until it’s not just drinkable, but overflowing. 🥤💛
So when life gives you lemons, don’t just complain… build a lemonade stand. 🍋💪

In a chaotic New York rush hour, a cab driver explains to his passenger that some people, like a garbage truck, carry and unload their emotional baggage onto others. This emotional trash is accumulated from unresolved past traumas and anxieties. The passenger learns that 80% of our reactions to current events are rooted in past experiences. The cab driver advises that to avoid becoming a "garbage truck" oneself, one must regularly clean out their emotional trash. By doing so, individuals can prevent their past issues from negatively affecting their present interactions, leading to a cleaner world where each person has addressed their own emotional issues.
Action items
• [] Try to clean out your own "garbage truck" of past issues and traumas on a daily basis.
• [] When someone "dumps their garbage" on you, don't feel the need to sift through it or respond in kind.
Outline
Cab Ride Insight and Initial Observation
• Speaker 1 describes a chaotic scene in downtown New York during rush hour, highlighting the noise and aggression from people.
• Speaker 1 shares their experience of hailing a cab and asking the driver for their destination.
• A driver cuts off the cab, leading to a confrontation, and Speaker 1 asks the cab driver how he deals with such daily stress.
• The cab driver responds with a metaphor, comparing the aggressive person to a garbage truck.
Understanding the Garbage Truck Metaphor
• Speaker 1 inquires about the meaning of the garbage truck metaphor, prompting the cab driver to explain further.
• The cab driver explains that some people hold onto their past traumas, anxieties, and struggles, which accumulate like trash in a garbage truck.
• Over time, these individuals can "unload" their emotional trash onto others, leading to unexpected outbursts.
• The cab driver suggests that individuals have a choice: to engage with the trash or to walk away from it.
Trigger Reactions and Past Experiences
• Speaker 1 discusses how certain actions or comments from others can deeply trigger emotional responses.
• These reactions are often rooted in past experiences, with 80% of current reactions stemming from earlier events.
• Speaker 1 emphasizes that these triggers do not necessarily relate to the immediate situation but are linked to past unresolved issues.
• The cab driver reiterates the importance of not carrying past emotional baggage and learning to let go of it.
Cleaning Your Own Garbage Truck
• Speaker 1 reflects on the need to clean out one's own emotional trash regularly.
• The cab driver shares a proverb: "The world will be a cleaner place if every person has cleaned their own floors."
• Speaker 1 encourages everyone to make an effort to clear their own emotional trash daily.
• The goal is to prevent dumping one's own emotional trash onto others, contributing to a cleaner world.

Step into this journey of ethereal whispers and past memories, where time dances in the shadows and inner secrets linger in the air. Close your eyes and engage in a journey of epic discovery. This spiritual walk will guide you through the veils that separate past, present, and future.
In this guided podcast meditation, you will embark on a journey unlike any other—a journey to meet your past, present, and future selves. As you traverse the landscapes of your soul, profound questions will arise, and deep answers will be answered in your own voice.
Feel the weight of past hurts lift from your shoulders as you confront the echoes of your yesterdays. Embrace the opportunity to release what no longer serves you, shedding layers like autumn leaves whispering in the wind.
And then, in a moment of exquisite poignancy, stand face to face with the shimmering visage of your future self. Do not let this moment slip through your fingers. Gaze into the eyes of the one who has weathered storms and conquered mountains yet to come. Feel the admiration and reverence swelling within you, like a symphony of gratitude and awe.
In this sacred space, let the mysteries of your soul unfurl, let the power of self-discovery weave through your being. Embrace the whispers of your past, the resonance of your present, and the shimmering promise of your future. For in this moment, you hold the key to unlocking your truest self.

Never start a fight…but if you have to fight make sure it’s something you are proud of fighting for. My dad taught me that life lesson when I was just a kid. I applied it to school and in sports. Yet it was not until we were faced with a bigger fight, did I really understand what that meant. In 2012 when we are were told by the Doctors my dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and only had a few months to live, the real fight began. In that fight to live I learned a few lessons
- a positive mindset can get you through the darkest nights
- you can you live a few weeks without food, a few days without water, but not one day without hope
- sometime you think it’s your weakest moment , but it just might be your greatest show of strength
This episode is for anyone who has lost a loved one to cancer, tragedy or any illness. I pray this story gives you courage and hope to keep fighting.

Tried of what you are seeing going on around you? Frustrated with the politics in life? Me too.
Are you saying someone needs to do something about the way things are going and fix all this? I agree
Do you even feel at times there’s an attack on you just trying to find peace of mind?
Yes! We are on the same page.
Feeling like you’re constantly being dumped on with senseless information and people trying to take your peace and your money! Now I feel you!
Now listen to this I guarantee we have more in common than you think.
When faced with a difficult challenge, what do you do? Do you push forward even though you might fail or do you just give up and accept the loss. We all face adversity in our life, but to get through it you have to remove some people from getting into your head. In this episode we get some inspiration from a world famous iconic inventor and a determined little boy. Which story can you relate to?
I had my first election stolen even before it became popular... I lost. By a landslide. But that's not the issue, its how I lost and what happened to me during that election.
Ever feel like you hit a wall...like something is just in front of you but you cant get it moving. It could be lack of energy or motivation or just this feeling of " I dont know whats going on inside my own head". Its usually one of two things. We dont call it what it is because its hard to define and we are usually quick to shrug it off. If you are in that block you might be burned out....or you just might be bored out of your mind....I know you are thinking how could you be bored when you are so busy. Yet thats not that cause of bored. We all do things everyday, but are the thing you are doing;
recharging your inner batteries
sparking your interest
making you excited to wake up
looking forward to the next day
If you have ever been there or are there in this episode, we have some encouragement and a familiar 7 yr old shows up with some powerful words of courage.
It was first real break up, it hurt in a way I never felt. Then I lost my job, I lost my car and dropped out of college. Added with the break up it caused me to look at my self and really ask myself WHY? Its been years since but Ive learned the answer to WHY. I needed to value myself more. I needed that near break down to learn how to break UP.
We will all experience heartache and a down season, but there is a big difference between how those that fail and how successful people handle that downward spiral. Successful people (at anything and everything) figure out how to land without crashing. They prepare and do the things needed to get back up and moving forward again.
My dad was the best storyteller I knew.
When my dad passed away, my biggest regret was that I never recorded his stories. I had so many questions I wanted answers to. Yet, through a Christmas gift from many years before, it gave me the answers I was looking for!
Now that Im a dad, I tell my stories to my kids around the breakfast table just like my dad did for me so many years before.
Yet, one day my daughter asked me for a a very specific story. She asked for a time in my life that things didnt turn out the way I wanted. That is how the blank check
started. I began taking those stories and pairing them with a lesson I learned from that experience.
If I knew then, what I know now, what would I do differently? That is a question I
ask myself often. Its not always the experience you had that was important, most often it is the life lesson learned.
this Blank Check is made payable to: Bombs to Blessings
on a night when some threw a Molotov cocktail at my house, it was definitely a life changing experience. I ended up selling my house and moving with in a month.
What I learned is that many of our issues come from uncertainty. Why did this happen? why did this happen to me? What am I supposed to do now. Life will continue to throw bombs however sometimes those bombs are what causes us to move. Physically move, emotionally move, or just make a mental shift.
Listen to this explosive episode it will help you turn those bombs to blessings.
Do you remember when you were a kid and you played with crayons? Something magical about taking out any color you want and creating a masterpiece.
In this episode we take the journey from childhood to living life as adult and realize our crayons have broken over the years. We draw the connection between broken crayons that still color and broken people that still can create their masterpiece.

In the movie A Bronx Tale, Robert De Niro plays this hard working blue-collar dad, who says to his son, " The saddest thing is life is wasted talent". He encourages his son to not be influenced by the gangsters in the neighborhood with the money and the power. Its a phrase, I have always asked myself, am I wasting my talent. In this episode we explore the idea when does a person go from someone who has so much talent, to being a person who wasted their talent and life has been passed them by.
Life is going well. You’re feeling comfortable. But you get this thought, idea, or maybe even a calling. Next thing you know you find yourself in a completely new place of life. But you started on this journey and you can’t go back to where you were.
Walk with me on this real life experience as I go from sleeping in on a Saturday morning to being called out to the ocean and having a life changing encounter.
What was better than being a kid and going on a trip to the ice cream store. What was better than @Thrifty ice cream? We take a sweet stroll down memory lane with grandma and grandpa to get a big scoop of ….( insert your favorite flavor here). Now what happens if that moment is taken from you? How many times in life were you moments from your moment and it was gone before you got to enjoy it. In this episode we get a second chance at happiness and it’s all because of one big cone of kindness.
From late night tacos to a going for a morning hike to getting bit by a venomous snake things escalade very quickly in this episode. Isn't that how life is sometimes. You are on your journey and someone comes from out of nowhere and attacks you. This could be with their words or actions, but the initial response is usually to get even. In this episode we take the higher road on this walk up the mountain and choose to get better.
This blank check is made payable to:
Understanding
We have conversations everyday and many times there is a lack of understanding. This is frustrating when at the store, or with a co worker or client. Yet, when this lack of understanding is with someone you love deeply, the feeling can turn from hurt to anger.
In this episode a daddy daughter outing takes a turn into an emotional battle. Yet, rather than simply being right the goal is to find connection through understanding.
Have you ever thought about a something you wanted to do...but never did it? Then down the road you see someone else doing exactly the idea you had? That wasnt a good feeling was it?
In this episode we explore the concept of thoughts and the need to let them grow. There is a song by the rapper Emimen called "Lose Yourself", but I never agreed with one of the lines:
You better lose yourself in the music
The moment, you own it, you better never let it go (Go)
You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow
This opportunity comes once in a lifetime Now that sounds great for a song, but in life we thankfully get more than one opportunity. However, that one opportunity does have an expiration date on it. It is up to each and everyone of us to recognize those dreams, and take the steps needed to help it become a reality.
Let's write out this check to some key ingredients for success and lets watch it grow.
What would you give to have one more day with someone you lost? Imagine if you could have 3 more years...on this episode I share how I got to have 3 more years with one of the people I love most in this world, my dad.
He taught me many lessons in life, but the greatest lesson was in the fight for his life.
You will fight for many things in your lifetime, just make sure you are proud of what you are fighting for.
Enjoy this personal, real life and heartwarming story. Whether, you have lost someone and need to heal, or you just want to value the people close to you, this episode will leave you feeling uplifted & inspired.
If I handed you a blank check, how much you write it for?
Every day we pay out in the form of our time ( how we spend our life), our talent ( the abilities we were blessed with) and our treasure ( our money and our resources). We make this payment everyday to things, people, and places. Can you really improve the way you spend your time, talent, and treasure? Yes! this is a blank check and every single day you write out what really is the most valuable to you.
Have you ever wondered why you are here on earth? I asked myself that same question at 9 years old. In fact, I don't think I have stopped asking myself this question. In a crazy big world its often times easy to feel lost in grand scheme of things, but I pose a question to you, where are you now?
This is deeper than just the physical aspect, but where are you:
emotionally
physically
spiritually
financially
All these things play a role into how we value ourself.
On this episode we do a deep dive into where we are and look even deeper to where we are going. Lets go on this journey together...but remember to look up.

In this episode, we talk about setting targets and the right intentions.
Setting targets and setting goals are similar in that they both involve establishing specific objectives that you want to achieve. However, there are some key differences between the two.
Goals are typically more broad and long-term in nature, and they usually involve making progress or improvements in certain areas of your life or business. Goals are often set with the intention of guiding your actions and helping you to stay motivated and focused.
Targets, on the other hand, are more specific and time-bound. They are used to measure and track progress towards a specific goal, and they are often used to motivate and encourage individuals or teams to work harder and more efficiently. Targets can be used to set benchmarks, monitor progress, and hold people accountable for meeting certain performance standards.
In business, setting both goals and targets can be important for ensuring that you are making progress towards your long-term objectives. Goals can help to provide a sense of direction and purpose, while targets can help you to track your progress and stay on track. It may be useful to set both goals and targets in your business, and to regularly review and adjust them as needed to ensure that you are making progress and achieving your desired outcomes.
