Today I'm sharing my video as a #SublimeSunday inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108. I'm also feeling rather like a travel blogger in my own village.

I have a little cottage in a tiny village on Cape Cod and we've many seaside attractions. Today, the attraction was luncheon on the canal at our local restaurant and fish market.

The Fish Market

Of course the restaurant is on the other side of the market but it is indeed where the catches come in from the fisherman into Sandwich marina. Can't get any fresher than when you are on the boat.

My amazing sushi

The only fresher sushi we've had is when we had our sailboat and we'd anchor off cuttyhunk island and a local sushi boat would come around and make it for you on the boat as you watched...that was always a magical time...I miss that boat, but not the cost.

You can watch the fishing boats come in as they pass thru the canal with a view of the Sagamore bridge in the distance (there are two bridges to access the Cape, Sagamore and Bourne.)

Fishing vessel in the canal

I was surprised and happily amazed at this fine gentleman doing his Qigong there on the canal outside the windows of the restaurant.

Gentleman doing Qigong

It was a chilly day as well so God bless him, I wasn't sure if he was a restaurant worker or a local taking advantage of the lovely spot.

I couldn't help but watch him mesmorized, I hope you enjoy his actions in my video. I didn't think it innapropriate as he was doing it in front of the windows for all to see and many were happily enjoying it. It's as if he took us all in and we found a zen place with his movements and the water's current and the fishing boats passing by.

Fishing boats in the Cape Cod Canal en route to the Sandwich marina.

Well, I hope you enjoy my little video and if you find yourself in Sandwich MA on Cape Cod, check out the Aptly named "Fishermans's View Restaurant and Fish marekt" A great spot for sushi as well as

good ole' Fish and chips.

I hope you get a moment to enjoy some travel if not , take a 'trip or holiday' in your own village or city.

Today we go out for some retail therapy on the hunt for a cute vessel for one of hopefully many new terrariums.

I've made a space in my studio for some new plants and I hope to make a terrarium wall of sorts. I've emptied out a closet and have painted it out one color, put a few shelves in and want it as display for some terrariums,

A little browse at things in shops sometimes is a good boost to the spirit. Even if we find nothing it can give one a break in the day. In my case, in this video, I did, indeed, find a darling enclosed glass container for my plant.

I hope you enjoy my little day out and the view of the sea in today's video. I hope you also find a moment in your day to indulge in your own passions.

I'm having fun with a new prodcut I recieved at Christmas. A friend of mine gave me some foam clay ,which I'd never worked with before, so I ordered some darling molds (used mainly for food) and decided to make some fun things for my terrariums.

I'm really getting into terrariums this year so the idea of making sweet little things like this to decorate them, just seemed the perfect match.

I'm really enjoying playing with plants and clay and also atually enjoying making short little post card vlogs. This year I've set a goal to capture as much of the year in this format, so I hope that you like it as well. Enjoy and remember to stay creative.

I'm always amazed by the beauty and Nature of this place. Tho I've seen my veiw for years, decades, really ,I never grow tired of it and it never ceases to amaze.

This day was the perfect example of "If you don't like the weather wait 15 minutes." We'd promise of snow, but I was skeptical as I worked in my studio and could hear the rain tap tapping at my window. The weather reports are always being dramatic about 'great storms coming' and so on, but I doubted it.

Then soft Spring-like rain turned to magical snow. and it fell softly but still a bit damp .I was skeptical if i'd stick.

The snow came, it chilled, and the next day was that magical snow that crunches with your steps." And it made for a glorious chilly morning beach comb. Sometimes beachcoming on days like this results in more visual treausres to store away to use as patterns in paintings and fabric design.

The magic and majesty of #nature for certain. I hope you enjoy this little moment of a day and the following morning on the seaside Cape Cod.

Today I'm sharing my video as a #SublimeSunday inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.

I've not done a #sublimesunday in some time and I'm hoping that video is ok. I do have images to accompany it, but I'm not sure I have the "Skill" to place them in the text as I use #3speak. We shall see.

I suppose I could edit it in Peakd afterwards?

However, this #beautifulsunday shall be my sharing one of our sunrises .I'm lucky and blessed to live where I do. I'm a morning person by nature and a creature of routine, so each morning I rise before sunrise and light my fire (laid the night before). With a pot of coffee and an old book (no tech allowed before sunrise) I enjoy the fire and watch the sunrise.

We on the Cape (Cape Cod) are blessed with many wonderful sunrise and sunset. I'm also excited this year as a single blue heron has decided to stay (for the second year in a row) thru the Winter, despit all his chums and his cousins, the snowy egret, heading down south for the Winter.

I've a little fantasy the he, like me, is a poor cousin who is left in Summer houes in the dead of Winter, whilst others get to follow the sun to South Carolina, Florida or overseas.

Yet, I love a summer house in Winter. It's so much quieter. The other houes sit still and silent; doors locked, boats in boathouses, the harbor empty (save the hardworking shell fisherman who also don't get a Winter's reprieve). There is a beauty in the frozen bits of sea left in the shorn brown seagrass as the tide slips out slowly under the low Winter snow cloud sky.

So, today's Sublime sunday is sharing this bit of beauty with you in video form. If I don't figure out how to insert pictures I do hope the video is enough.

I hope you all have a lovely Sunday and find a moment in your day to indulge in your own passions and if you get a chance, watch a sunrise.

Another little postcard vlog I'm sending out. I've been lax in sharing my art of late, but part of my resolution this year has been a return to video. I've been approaching it as pages in a diary or little postcards to send out to the vast world that is the internet.

Today we catch the tail end of my morning walk from woodland to shore. I've errands to do so as we pop into town, I'll see if I can make a trip to a Big box store fun: that is I'll buy houseplants there to make the triip seem fun and not just errands.

Of course, I'll reward myself with a cup of coffee on the way home, because what better punctuation to the sentence of "To-doing" then a coffee from the local.

I hope enjoy today's vlog and that you find a moment in your day to indulge in your passions. And remember, if you've work and errands, add a little treat in there, might make it seem a bit less awful.

Today's little post card I send out to you has us in my studio drawing up herons and flowers and playing with patterns for wallpaper and fabric.

Of course we start the day, as I always do this time of the year, in front of the fire with a pot of hot coffee and some reading material. No tech allowed during this time.
I always make the morning time tech free at least for the few hours before the sun rises. As we are early risers, I steal those moments of not quite day or night, for the old ways: fire, actual books or magazines, and hot coffee in china cups

However, in this very video I am in my studio using digital tools. One cannot fault them and the digital world, yet I also begin most of my art with pencil, charcoal, pen stabs and scratches on little journals and pieces of paper. Sometimes I'm even bold enough to sit on the shore and sketch the old-fashioned way however, if you think working online is distracting, try sticking with a theme in your sketch book when a gull is dropping his bivalve breakfasat on a rock or the movement of seaweed in the shallow tide is mesmerizing.

Do you take any moments of your day without being plugged in? Of course I'm not deriding tech, I'd be fool to do so when one considers here I sit typing away this little "post card" to you. But, one does like to have a "balance" of sorts.

Well, I hope you enjoy this little video jaunt in my day. Until next time remember to cherish your little moments of peach and calm and as always remember to stay creative.

Good day all, I hope this finds you well.I'm really feeling as if my short little vlogs are postcards I send out to you, so one considers what one used to write on postcards: "All is well, loving Rome, Locals clever and weather good, best to all" or some such.

This little postcard is my daily morning ritual of a fire and coffee followed by a day out. Having errands to run, I stopped at the new chain book store location. I prefer and often frequent our small independent bookshops (some not quite small) but as Barnes and Noble is now owned by Waterstones, they are opening smaller locations that focus on local books, authors and give a free reign to the staff to display their own favorites and such. It really has a 'small book shop' feel, so I stopped there.

I hope all of you have a lovely day and find a moment to indulge in your own passions, I know I try to anyway, in between errands and to-doing of course.

Do any of you make sure to schedule time to indulge in your passions? A moment to read or watch a favorite old movie?

In my attempts to capture more of my daily life, tho quiet and boring it might be, I'm hoping to share more video.

I like to think of them as little postcards

Taking snippets of my day and encapsulating them into video format does make me feel as if it's an extension of my journal. I always keep a little journal beside me where I have my morning fire and coffee.

It allows me to take the time to jot down any thoughts Im having in the moment. I also make little lists of what I "Hope" to get to that day as well as what "Needs" doing. Looking back on it is always interesting. I can find a spot on a calendar and flip thru it and recall "Ah, I was ruminating on Poe that morning" or "Yikes, I never DID organize that closet in the studio."

I hope you enjoy my little video postcard/diary entry. A trip to my MIL and just a snippet of a moment of an artist living her life by the water (I've always found myself by the water, lucky that.)

I hope you find a moment in your day to indulge in your own passions.

It's a new year and I'm returning to #3speak. Having had the Summer off and time to reflect I'm ready to attempt to return to that part of my life online.

A great way to start the New Year and Resolutions is to be on the beach and beachcomb of course, my daily activity.

I'm going to share more short videos and simple parts of my daily life living as an artist on the shores of Cape Cod. I hope all of you are excited for the New Year.

It's been sometime since I uploaded to #3speak so I hope I do it correctly and am looking forward to 2024, despite the general feeling of it being rather a "Doom" sort of year. We must find the silver linings for sure.

Today, for #sublimesunday and #BeautifulSunday I'm sharing my recent trip to the Garden Centre, but in video form.

SublimeSunday is inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is the idea of @ace108, so give them love respectively and also join in one Sunday, it's such fun!

Tho this tide wasn't today, Sunday, I'm happily sharing it with you today. This past week we had a new moon and when the moon cycle is right we get a very high and subsequently very low tide and thus Tidal Flats.

When the harbor empties out like this one can go out mudlarking and find all sorts of treasures or just enjoy the seabirds feasting on the exposed shells and crabs.

The Garden Centre this time of year is all about Spring.

The pansy and violas were out in the hundreds and I was a happy gardener. The scent of the violias was intoxicating as you entered this first greenhouse of the gaden centre, the chilly air following you in and stirring up their delicious scent.

Outside the hardy and gorgeous Hellebore were the true harbingers of Srping. These hardy fellows peep their head out of banks of snow in February if we are lucky. I particularly loved this chartruese green tone. This phots is not enhanced, that is how gorgeous and glowing that color truly is,

Of coure outside was mostly bare, but to see all these empty tables only makes me happy as I know they are getting ready for veg and annuals in a few weeks and my June this place will be Alive with plants and flowers and bees and busy shoppers.

I could NOT leave without a collection of things for 2 planters I'm doing for Spring. These gorgeous purple and white primulas were some of what I got. But, I'll let you enjoy the day out in video form and have an armchair day at the garden centre then a drive home in chilly New England on a Spring Day.

I hope you enjoyed #SublimeSudnay and #beautifulsunday and that you'll join in with us next week.

Welcome to a calm and relaxing Sunday. A weekend trip you can take in your armchair to a local New England antique shop filled with treasure.

Happy #Sublimesunday all. I've decided to stick with my video version of the day. Tho, I can try and go in later to 'edit' after #3speak posts to add images, I'd rather keep it video.

This #beauifulsunday we are again at an antique shop. It's a nice way to while away a few moments of a Sunday, so why not grab your favorite cuppa and enjoy an armchair visit to an antique shop on Cape Cod.

This is actually a part 2 of last week's shop, in Sandwich on the Cape. There are a few unique finds and just a good example of Ne England treasures, so I hope you enjoy.

Thank you for joining me for this Video #BeautifulSunday and I hope you consider joining in with us next time.

BeautifulSunday and #Sublimesunday are inspired by @ace108 and @c0ff33 so be sure to check them out.

I'd meant this video post to be part of #sublimesunday but as is often the case, my luck with #3speak can be iffy. I have to wait for my video to upload, which takes time, but then it needs to be put "onto the blockchain" one supposes,
I can guarntee that I've no idea what that means, tho I know it is a thing. But, I digress...

I'd planned on making my #Sublimesunday a video post, which I'd then edit in hive, once published there via 3speak, but that sometims because problamatic as well, therefore I've decided to upload, write a bit here and let the digital Gods have at it.

Thus, in today's post (Whenever that DAY might be) we are on an outing to a local Antique shop.

I love Antinquing and Thrifting and I hope you do as well, because if so, grab your favorite cuppa, sit back and enjoy our trip. I am trying to learn to film slower and more methodically so that one can see prices and have a little peruse.

In fact, as I edit I find more things I want and also say to myself, in third person, "Slow down, idiot," Or "Wait go back, I didn't quite catch that." But, once it's set to 'digital film' what can one do? Try and learn for the next journey.

I'm also planning on posting this to #CinnamonCupCoffee thread and I hope that is acceptable. You will see we begin our journey stopping at one of our local cafe's which I love. They roast their own coffee and it's wonderful. Tho I am a lover of dark roasts, they specialize in a light roast but I adore it and get a pound each week (whole bean of course) and mix it with dark roast for my morning coffee. So , I hope this coffee visit makes it appropriate for posting in that group.

I hope you enjoy this as a sublime moment , whether Sunday or not, and there is also a short drive in a New England village as well, so I hope that amuses as well.

Thank you for joining me for this Video #BeautifulSunday and I hope you consider joining in with us next time.

BeautifulSunday and #Sublimesunday are inspired by @ace108 and @c0ff33 so be sure to check them out.

This week's #SublimeSunday and #BeautifulSunday ( inspired by @ace108 and @c0ff33a) ,is in video form again. I like to share my weekly videso on a Sunday.

This visit was to a thrift/antique shop in Buzzard's Bay, which is a small village just off Cape Cod. It is still, in some locals views, still Cape Cod, but not Cape Cod proper, which is on the other side of the bridge, which forms an island (man made back in 1930's when a canal was dredged from an old riverway to allow passage of large sea vessels.

I hope you enjoy the video, but here are some photos from the day as well (tho if you don't see them yet, it's because after I upload on #3speak, I have to then edit in Hive to add the photos) So, if you do see them, then it was successful :)

It was a foggy but warm day when I went to this shop. I call it more a Thrift shop as it does have antiques but also bits and bobs a bit cheaper that feel MUCH more thrift.

The Railroad bridge was lovely in the Park that day. The fog set in and it was the perfect day to poke about in such a shop.

I saw they've been working o the old train station here, with it's lovely old red tiled roof, and that is mainly due to its being used much more since the Cape Flyer train service in the summer began. It takes trips from Boston onto the Cape. Of course before WWII the trains rain regularly to each town and village on Cape Cod, but 1950's car industry was the demise of American trains. We have the SLOWEST trains of anywhere when you consider Europe or Japan. We lost many train stations as well...I hope that will change one day.

And finally a view of the rail road bridge from inside the shop, with the lovely glass bottles catching the grey fading light.

I Hope you enjoyed my video #Sublime Sunday and I hope you'll join in next week.

This week's #SublimeSunday and of course Sublime Sunday and #BeautifulSunday are inspired by @ace108 and @c0ff33a , is in video form.

Having had, finally, replaced the old broken windows in our house here by the sea, I was out staining trim and trying to garden around the new steps in between the days of rain.

Tho today we have snow, last week was Spring in many ways, despite the calendar reading February.

To save on costs we are doing the staining and puttering with the landscaping ourselves. I'm so happy to finally have a handyman, that we want him to do the more complex things that would take us so much more time to do it half as good.

In typical New England weather the week went from Sun to Rain, but today, on this #sublimesunday I'm recalling the week past with a soft dusting of snow.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my video #SublimeSunday and why not join in with us next sunday.

I hope you find a moment in your day to indulge in your passions and that each day is sublime.

Today's #marketfriday is a funny sort of shop in that I'm sharing the new windows and sliding door I purchashed for the work we're doing here at Bunny Hall, our funny little house by the sea.

I actually had images from my shop at some big box stores and local window makers but lost a memory card...it's frustrating as it also had footage of the before.

It's funny to think how often I've looked at the old cracked and broken windows and now when I NEED images of them, they are lost, such is life.

But, I wanted to share my latest video AS a #marketfriday as there was marketing involved. Tho now we have a new door and window in my studio/study and a few more spread about the house, thanks to our new handyman, we're still doing most of the trim painting, clean up, landscaping , and exterior staining and painting.

Here you can see the new slider in situ and my new window.

Now , had I not lost the footage you could have seen the old broken window and falling out old single pane windows. It's lovely to have an egress here.

Tho, we can only afford, now, to have a simple set of stairs out this door, one day it'll be a porch. For now , I rather like my little stoop of stairs.

We managed to get a few more windows in other parts of the house, including hubby's study, but also in the plant room off the kitchen. One new window going in next to the old. Those old will stay for awhile, until another season or two. My dream is an addition here of a conservatory style room with glass all round and a few skylights in a new roof area, one can dream.

Well, now I can sit on my new set of stairs with my coffee and make my lists for my next marketing day, there are many garden things to get , more stain, and another list of lumber for the next project...We're trying to get ready for the coming Summer, but this time of year always flies by.

I hope all of you have a lovely day and kind find a moment to indulge in your own passions. I hope you also have a good day at whatever type of marketing you've got up to for #marketfriday.

Today's #Wednesdaywalk and #Makemesmile challenge via video, here on #3speak. I did this for my last wendesdaywalk and I think it's a fun way to share my video and to give a glimpse of what I'm seeing as I walk.

IF you'd like to join in go to [@tattoodjay post about it to learn How To Join in.

Tho we've been blessed with a rather warmish and nice Winter, the Usual Cape Cod winter, of days of snow then rain and usually temps above freezing, we had one frozen day and I wanted to share that as today's walk...Our saltwater harbor froze:

And on my walk, the receding tide, without the warmer sea below, made frozen puddles on the shore that made it fun to step in and crack:

The sky was brillant blue and one would call the day 'sharp and cold' like a new copper penny.

The blue of the day was apparent in the iceflows reflecting the amazing cold sky

The ice, like shaved ice on hot Summer days, piled along the sea's edge as the tide slipped out, with little waves depositing the frozen debris:

A bit of photoshop and saturation makes this same overhead view of the frozen shoreline like a lovely abstract painting.

It was lovely to have such a day when it was presented as it was: We had a week of above freezing then one cold night, this day of bitter ice and wind, but it's beauty could be enjoyed as we knew the temps would rise into the evening.

And today we have warmer temps and yesterday was like a Spring day. The variety of weather this time of year in Coastal New England (at least Cape Cod area) makes for never a boring day.

I hope you enjoyed today's #Wednesdaywalk and #Makemesmile and why not join in next week?

Tody I'm doing my #Wednesdaywalk and #Makemesmile challenge via video, here on #3speak.

IF you'd like to join in go to [@tattoodjay post about it to learn How To Join in.

I'm going to again attempt to add photos to this when it posts to #hive. We shall see. If not, I hope the video will be images enough for this Wednesday walk.

The day was a typical day for last week, in that we had all the weather at once. This continued thru the week, but this day it started out cool but sunny, as you can see the sunrise.

Then the wind picked up later in the afternoon and the white caps were wonderful.

The froth on the shore looked like abstract paiting with the slippershels and stones and seaweed.

When I decided to walk in the village, the snow had begun and by the time I arrived in town, it had turned to a soft rain. It was a nice rain tho, not uncomfortable to walk in and I'm alway in Wellies and carry a brolly, this time of the year.

I love the little "Take a book leave a book" that the local library does on the high street.

And the best way to get out of the rainy chilly afternoon is to hide away in a warm cafe sipping hot coffee drinks, so I headed into Nirvana, a great little cafe in Barnstable village.

Over all it was a pretty good walking day and typical for last weeks weather of "All the weather in one week"

I hope you enjoying my stroll and again, join in next week for a Wednesday walk and make me smile challenge.

I hope you find a moment in your day to indulge in your own passions and that 2023 is turning out to be a good year for you thus far.

Another "Post Card" vlog from Cape Cod. Part of my New Year's resolution is to return to video making. After a stressfull 2022 of ill family member, a retrun to normalcy and embracing the ordinary and quiet is utmost to my 2023.

I'm also hoping to 'figure out' how to make this video upload on #3speak also more of a Blog once it's uploaded. As you know, it posts as a Blog on #hive, so my trial, today, is after it's uploaded to see if I can the go in and edit it post upload to include some photos. We shall see... If it worked, there will be more after this of course, if not, I hope you enjoy the imagery in my video.

I hope you find a moment in your day to indulge in your passions, whatever they may be.

Part of my New Year's resolution has not only been a more consistent return to Hive, but also to start sharing my videos once again on #3speak.

In this vlog I walk our beach after the big storm we had here in January. We had a higher tide then we've seen in years and it's fun to poke about in the remains of the tide.

It's a grand day to sketch on the shore and I share one of my pieces in my latest series "Animals and Plants".

I'd hoped to share images in the post here on 3speak as well, as I know it posts to Hive as a blog, but it appears I cannot (Or at least I can NOT as I might just be imcompetent in that). So, the video shall have to suffice.

I'm hoping to slowly wend my way back into vlogs this year so shorter snippet video seems to be the best way to do this.

Enjoy the calmness of our seaside New England garden and look for the quiet in a Quiet life.

I Hope you find a moment in your day to indulge in your passion, whatever that might be.

This week has been SO busy. I've been going non stop with getting all the things ready for my little cottage. From landscaping to raising fence and digging post holes, the week has been day to night work.

At the end of each day I collapse exhausted but still feeling at least a good hearty day of labor has been done. And it is during this time I think and dream of the quiet calm joy of the coming Summer.

This little short video is a sort of calm dream of what is to come noting the moments of joy in the busy work of this month.

To top it all off, this week also gave me my dear Mother in Law going into the hospital with some complications. She is out of the woods now, but it was simply another moment in the busy week which said, "Life is Fast and hurried sometimes, stop and smell the roses and look forward to the calm."

I hope you enjoy this odd little video and thank you for joining me for a quiet dream of the hopeful calm of the coming weeks.

This short vlog was meant to be up by Easter and it was done and up on another 'video platform', however,

I had another issue getting #3speak to upload or even respond to me on Sunday (and monday this time) at all.

It is odd and I usually try and upload my Sunday vlog Saturday night on #3speak for this very reason, but this past week was a holiday and we had family down and so thus my very short vlog for Easter is now uploaded on Tuesday.

Such is me and tech.

However, it was splendid to see family again, after a 2 year hiatus of not many family gatherings for holidays it was good to have family able to fly in and celebrate.

One hopes that the coming Summer is one open for holidays and visits, but we shall see.

These times we are currently living in make each day tentative and making plans very far into the future has just become a thing rather hard to do. I'm hoping for a good rental season here on the Holiday Shores of Cape Cod, but we shall see.

A world at war and fear of pandemic and possible food shortages and other issues makes one give pause in most things. And more so, I think, the moments of joy and simple acts seem even more important.

I think that is why I have this current little brood fo bantam chicks. I just finished (after 2 weeks of hard graft by myself) making a new proper chicken run for my egg laying hens, so really having new chicks to care for and now, make a better house and run for, is probably not 'smart' but in a way it was necessary.

My plans for new veg beds seaside might be a bit hopeful as well, as it's not always the most conducive and actually as I write this the wind is battering the spot I've laid out and rain and salt water spray abound. Yet, I will still persevere and Hope and see what can be done. Sometimes the Hope and Love of a think can make it come out and that is really a good lesson not only for the Garden but for Life. Even if it seems against all odds or set to fail, grit , determination and fun along the way still makes the endeavour worth doing. A failure may still lurk at the end of it all, but if you've had fun and joy then the adventure was still worth it.

These days make the small, simple, and pure more precious. Though I've always been an advocate of taking a moment to smell the roses and watch the flowers grow, these days such things are imbued with even more importance to me.

I hope our world starts down a better path, but until then Planning gardens, rasing little chicks, and amusing oneself with drawings and making up tales to go with them are my Big Adventures for the time being.

Do any of you notice more imortance on the little things of late? Or have you always been smart enough to know how much each day can be precious?

I hope all have a lovely day and find a moment to indulge in your passions and let's hope, collectively, that a better world is around the corner.

I hope you enjoy the little update, really just showing off my chicks growth and a quick talk about my 'seaside' garden plans.

Another day out plant shopping. Spring has sprung and I'm trying to visit all our local garden centres as they open. Of course I had to stop at a big box store, as I was looking for some wood trim elements for my new Chicken run, only to discover the prices there, like may places now, are through the roof. I have to admit I did nab some onion sets and a few red romaine lettuce whilst there.

The week, per usual for New Englang, gave us all the weather so I'll share sun, rain, cloud, and fog for the weekly weather report.

And finally I'll show the 3rd week growth of my little clutch of bantam chicks, happily enjoying the warm afternoons out for a bit of grass and insects.

I hope all have a happy day and can find a moment to get out into the garden.

This post is for #SublimeSunday is inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.

I'm hoping to try, again, to share my #SublimeSunday via #3speak, so fingers crossed.

In Today's Sublime and beautiful sunday we have another day out, this time we're heading to a fun very Cape Cod little antique thrift shop, called the Clam Shack antiques. It is quiet literally in an old Clam shack.

I'm hoping to find some inspiration for the garden as I've been making over a new area for a second improved veg growing location. I'm always on the lookout for anything that would pretty up thet garden.

The day starts out in the fog, but in usual New England weather, we end in the warm Spring Sun wiht our treasures found and a few moments with the happily growing chicks.

I hope all of you have a terrific Sunday and do please join in the #sublimesunday if you can. I hope you can find a moment in your day to indulge in your passions and to just enjoy a #beautifulsunday.

I'd meant to share this video for sublime sunday but again, on a Sunay #3speak uploading just didn't work for me. I could access videos, see my previous video, but not upload without an odd error that I spent far too much time googling to see, what a fix might be?

So, I shared the video from my youtube for Sunday instead, but I really want to support and keep putting my videos on #3speak, so here we go again, fingers crossed.

In the video we have a day out shopping early Spring plants, doing a bit of thrifting and giving into the urge to get a clutch of adorable bantam chicks. And per usual a bit of my seaside view thrown in for good measure.

Well, here we go, if you are reading and watching this , it worked.

I hope you find a moment to indulge in your own passions and can get out in the garden to enjoy nature.

I'd actually meant to share this video to #3speak last Sunday but it would not upload. Then the site was down, for me at least, so I simply embedded the video uploaded onto my youtube channel and called it a day.

I really want to keep my videos on 3speak So I'm having another go.

My trip, which I shared in pics last week a bit, was a day out to Big Box stores garden centres to see what plants and trees were available this early in the season. I was actually happily surprised for the amount of trees and shrubs I was able to find.

I also stopped at one of our local garden centre and they had considerably less, understandably, but they did have the pansies and violets I was craving. They smell heavenly, the scent. They have that antique Victorian violet scent I so love.

I happily found a coveted apricot tree I'd been searching for, a Moorpark only to discover after buying it that it is in fact an American hybrid of the famous Moorpark apricot. I am keeping it, however, and we shall see how the fruit it this Summer. I decided that this American English hybrid tree is probably a good example of New England itself: We're not quite English nor quite American sometimes.

I was rather sad that 3speak was down at the time, as I've really been looking forward to uloading more of my videos here soon as I love things like #hive and #3speak because to me they offer the Small Town aspect of Online Life compared to the big cold city of the Vast world of Google and Youtube. And even my own personal site/blog must swim out into the vast sea of the world 'hoping' Google's crawlers will snag a bit of this or that to show my posts to others. Whilst on #hive and #3speak I feel were bigger fish in a little pond and we know at least some will find us and we can grow in that community.

Do you think places like Hive and 3speak are better overall for building community?

I hope you enjoy this day out (again I did share it last week by embedding it in my vlog from my youtube, but I really want it to have a 'life of it's own' on #3speak this way) and let me know, do you think as the world changes and the internet becomes more 'restricted' will small communities like ours be the online refuge of the small?

I hope you find a moment in your day to indulge in your passions and as always, stay creative.

Welcome to #SublimeSunday which is inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.

Today's rather short video is my attempt to capture the wonderful sound of the foghorns we hear when the fog sets in. We start out in a woodland walk earlier in the week, when the sun was out, the sky brillant blue and the soft pine and bare limbed decidous trees made a dance in the wind.

I was able to capture the foghorn so as a treat to myself (and hopefully to you, but one hopes to be indulged) to read 2 Emily Dickinson poems as we watch the grey sea, listen to the soft rain and the distant moan of the fog horn.

I've complete this week the final black and white ink of my Emily Dickinson sketch I shared last week. I love to work in black and white using only the black to define a character (no midtones or shading in the final piece) wiht the stark contrast of the white of the page to the black of the drawing. I'm happy with our dear Emily and think she fits with my previous Virginia Woolf.

I'm making it a year long process to keep making the lovely ladies of literature and in my other social medias I've got a good list of suggestion of such ladies, as well as my own wish list. I might be sketching Vita Sackville-West next, a favorite write of mine ,both fiction but more so her garden writings. Her home in Kent has one of my favorite gardens in England.

Today's #SublimeSunday is then one to sit and contemplate the stillness of life, especially a fog-bound day when one feels all of the world is but a mystery that has been erased: Was it ever there? Have we beeen, thus, single actors in our own drama?

A wise man once said 'all the world is a stage' and today, in our post modern world, it can feel a very true statement indeed. So, act out your day to yourself or your small audience with joy and make it a comedy or reflective drama, sometimes it's easier to look inward than out , if even just for a #SublimeSunday, Monday will always open up the vast world to all of us to current events, so let's today imagine how small our little world can be and fill it with joy and contemplation.

I hope you have a #SublimeSunday and a good day all round and remember to stay creative.

I beachcomb almost every day. When it's not covered in snow (and sometimes when if it's not too deep) I love to walk our little shore to garner my treasures.

It's true they are not gold and precious jewels, these treasures, but crab carapace, a string of conch egg casings and a tiny little horseshoe crab shell all make their way to my treasured spots on window ledges and nooks and crannies of the studio and all about the house.

There is always another conch shell for the 'conch tree' , whcih is a large drift-wooded bit of tree I found beachcombing one morning and leaned upon the big rocks as you walk the path back up to the house. It is decorated with conch shels, hung like Christmas baubles. It used to be the tradition of family and friends hanging one when they left the beach, but the past two years have made that a bit more sparse, hopefully that will change this year.

Then I share with you a sketch of Emily Dickinson for my "ladies of Literature" I'll be starting on this month, as March is Women's history month. I share my Virginia Woolf as well, which started the idea of the series.

I hope you enjoyed this quiet living beach comb and that you find a moment in your day to enjoy the simple things.

With the world in it's current state sometimes we just need some simple pure Hope and the new life from quail and chicken eggs hatching lift my spirit. I hope they lift your spirits as well

These are quail eggs from my own little hutch of darling quail. They lay like the dickens, are sweet and gentle, but would never set their own eggs, so I have to do it and with pleasure. The little blue chick is a darling self blue or lavender cochin bantam chick.

I hope this brief moment of New Life gives you Hope for better tomorrows. No matter how bad it gets, we see from history that the human spirit always pervades.

Tody we're going on our ramble in our wood and we come upon the old carriagehouse. I love thisbuilding. Altho it no longer holds a groom and a gardener and carriages and horses, it is still used by the family for storage. I'm happy it still exists as the old house that it belonged too was torn down years ago, it was a "white elephant" at the time and was torn down and parcel of land sold off, ah well.

I'll share my latest little sketch of a made up 'fairytale'

Just a quiet day of slowliving and walking by the sea and wood.

I hope you find a moment in your day to indulge in your passions and never forget to stay creative.

Tho we've had some lovely Spring like weather, even now as I type this the sun is out and the sea looks calm and lit with sparkle, we have promise of snow.

We're to get snow tomorrow, which is not unheard of it being February, but on a day like this wiht thought's of Spring, I just wanted to share this afternoon in Septpember with you.

I love to capture little moments of my 'critters' in situ. I often have little furred toys in my pockets or a miniature doll house tea set as one never knows when an opportunity to make a nature side tea party will arise. I hope you'll find it amusing or at least indulge me in my little joyful foible of making such little vignettes.

I'm looking forward to Spring and Summer arrangements as my current arrangements now are mainly of dried twigs or forced forsythia and some bits of flowers from my houseplants. But, before you know it, it shall be Spring and then Summer and each season, which I love in it's own fashion, always provides opportunities for little vignettes of miniatures or ways to make floral or plant arrangements.

I hope you get amoment to find joy and to indulge in your own passions today and of course remember to stay creative.

Today we are walking the tidal flats. It was a warm day, a balmy 50F when I filmed this , this week, but we had had a freezing 7 F day as well, so you will see a bit of the ice on the sea.

I'm really enjoying making these little video journals or video post cards to send out to all of you. I hope you enjoy them a quick visit to our seaside shore at our New England home.

I also share the finished painting of "Lady Pink" and think she fit's right in with the spakle of the Winter sea.

I hope you enjoy my litlte video and that you get a moment in your own life to indulge in a quiet escape and as always, stay creative!

I felt it migth be fun to take a previous video and just set music to it and extract my commentary. It was just a lovely day out on one of my rambles and thought it might be a nice little escape.

I made this video without talking from my previous video, which does have me rambling on. If you'd like to watch version I shared it awhile back and it's Here if you care to hear me rabbiting on.

There is a view of trees, the rough New England shore and a lovely bit of Fungi found on the beach. I hope you enjoy this little interlude with music and the sounds of nature.

I hope you find a moment to escape into whatever Nature you have access to.

Another day of differing weather here by the sea in New England. This week we saw Spring like weather after our previous week of Winter storm and feet of snow. It slowly vanished, that Winter pile up , over a few days of rain followed by increasingly warm temperatures.

By the week's end I found in balmy at 50 F and was trying NOT to trick myself that it was an early Spring. We know better here in New England and besides we also know a certain Groundhog has seen his shadow and scuttled back into his den to rest for a few more weeks of winter.

Oddly enough, as I write this and send it off to you, it is again snowing. It started softly last night, just hovering at a freeze, but I awoke to see it coming down really lovely but also accumulating. I guess that little groundhog knew what he was doing.

I also share my sketch and watercolor which shall be an oil , most likely by the month's end.

I hope you enjoy today's video and found a moment to walk in your own bit of the earth and enjoy.

As today as turned to a Springlike day I thought I'd share my video of Printmaking I did during the warmer days. I know Winter is still here for a bit, but I still beachcomb almost daily (even when I have to dig through the snow to do so).

I love using my gelliplate and it's a great way that I still hold onto my printmaking past. I used to be mainly a printmaker but moved digitally a few years back when no studio space could be found at a good price when I was in London for the season.

I still love printmaking but have enjoyed the more simple aspects of it that dont' require the heavy expensive equipment I once needed. The gelliplate allows me the joy of monoprints, ghostprints and the like in an easy to use, clean and store little tool.

I hope you enjoy my little art tutorial and a moment to slip onto the shore and view the sea on a sunny Cape Cod day.
