I’m really early for the American Thanksgiving.
It’s fall here in the northern hemisphere. This weekend is Thanksgiving in Canada. A weekend for many that signals the end to summer. Cottages and campgrounds will close after this weekend for most. Today is cool and sunny. Least anytime I looked outside.
Fall colours will be on display, made all the brighter when the sun is out. If you’ve never seen trees turning from green to shades of red, orange and yellow in the fall, you’ve missed a sight to behold. There are hills in this county that I can be miles away from Lake Ontario yet get up on the top of them, I can see the array of colour and lake beyond. On a sunny day, it’s almost magical.
Was just talking to a friend in town here. She had some family gathered this weekend for Thanksgiving dinner. They are all fully vaccinated except for the young grandchild but they still followed health measures to be safest. This time last year, any gathering wasn’t allowed. So a bit of normal is coming back.
A Coloring Page to Celebrate Thanksgiving I created a colouring page to give away the other day. Yes, I’ll be sharing it with you. I’ll add the link in a bit. Here’s what the page looks like.
I had something else I wanted to write about at the same time so I held off sending this out until I had the other item ready. It is ready but in the meantime, I’ve discovered something else and decided to share that as well.
The app I use to create projects like this colouring page has a default setting that records a time lapsed video of the project. I hadn’t looked at it before. Was playing around last night and started looking at some of them. Kind of liked them.
So, the video I’ve uploaded with this post is an edited version of the time lapsed video the app created. Now you can get the coloring page AND watch it come to life.

There was a nice turnout for the first PYPT back after over a year on break.
About a dozen posts were presented in between people catching up with each other. You'll find that PYPT is as much about socializing and getting to know each other as sharing posts.
An addition to the show is, instead of being Hive focused completely, other platforms are being invited to join in. To name a few would include Hive, Medium, Vocal, Loop (formerly Trybe), Read Cash. We'd welcome even someone wanting to share a post from their own blog.

This chat started out with me talking and reading responses from the others in the chat. It took a little while but once people started coming on voice the conversation rolled.
This chat was community members first, witnesses were welcome as they are community, but community first. Because... well.. it's all about community, right?
The discussion lasted almost two hours with a range of topics covered. A lot of people have concerns about how this will roll out. Some talked about the potential benefits and upsides to the partnership.
The definite area of consensus is we need more information we can count on the accuracy of. A first step toward that was taken today when @steemitblog put out a post on the partnership. Great to see.
There will be future community chat opportunities.

We had a quiet evening session. It started out with a hangout. Was nice to have @starkerz drop in for a visit with us. Some people had some posts to share so I turned the recording on at that point. Our hangouts are always just for those who attend.

The longest running post promotion show on Steem. On twice on Thursdays in an effort to make it easier for people in other parts of the world to take place. You can promote your own posts or the post of someone else that you really like.
Attendees take turns sharing posts and getting to know each other. It’s a great way to get eyes on your content.
You never know where discussions are going to go during PYPT. Sometimes a post will spark discussions and off we go for a while.
Each post shared will earn SHADE, a token created to have some fun curating posts. When you earn 100SHADE you can start to share it with others. Share on comments using !SHADE x where x is any number from 1-5 , Giveaways There will be some SBI (Steem Basic Income) and SHADE being given away at each show but you have to be present and participating to win. PYPT is as much about promoting your own posts as it is about discovering the posts of others. We’re in this community together and it is always good to know who the members are.

The evening PYPT has been a bit on the quiet side the last several weeks. That was NOT the case this past Thursday.
We enjoyed the arrival of some people we've not seen for a while and there was a lot of energy and fun had.
