It’s easy to forget people mentioned in the Bible were real people with a back story just as real as ours. Her account covers only a few verses in Acts, but the outcome that followed was enough to make me wonder what brought her to this sad condition. Did she have a family? How did she become a slave? The work is fiction, but commentaries agree she had an evil spirit of Apollo or Apollonian, a spirit of divination. Research led me to begin her life in Delphi, Greece, where kings and ordinary people sought wisdom for generations in Apollo’s most prestigious temple known for its divination. After that, I let my imagination free, and the muse led me to Philippi, where she encountered the Apostle Paul and his followers. Book 3 is the final book, where Daphne will risk it all to share her new hope with the people of her homeland.
Carol lives in South-West Michigan, where when she’s not blogging or writing, she loves to spend time with her children and grandchildren or walk, play golf, quilt, or read. She developed and taught Bible studies for women for years and has been published in many Christian magazines. She loves to travel. An extended trip to Greece included Delphi and its Apollo temple, Athens, where the Parthenon overshadowed the ancient city, and Philippi, where the ruins of the Roman stronghold and Paul’s prison brought depth to the series she has written.

The author of 15 books and some screenplays, his most recent book might be closest to his heart. This book, “Forty Hours,” tells his father’s story, and though a departure from his legal thrillers and other nonfiction books, it has all the elements of the hero’s journey and captures the reader’s to the end.
Also, Mike was lead counsel in the largest publishing case in history for the plaintiff in what has become known as the"Fifty Shades of Grey" lawsuit (Teacher Jennifer Lynn Pedroza v. Amanda M. Hayward and TWCS Operations Pty. Ltd. in the 153rd District Court in Tarrant County), which resulted in a plaintiff’s judgment, following a jury trial, over $13.2 million (which includes pre-judgment interest and attorney’s fees).

David graduated in 1968 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and was immediately drafted into the Army. He retired from the Army as a Captain. He was awarded the Masters and PhD in Counseling Psychology from North Texas State University. He started as a staff psychologist in Houston and became a Dean of Students at 34 at the University of Houston. Then, he and his family moved to Oakland when he took the Dean of College Affairs at Samuel Merritt College. While continuing to teach, he started a broadcast television and multi-media production facility producing medical content in nursing, psychology, and allied health markets. He received a Telly, a medical Emmy award for a documentary he wrote, produced, and directed on Florence Nightingale.
He eventually left to start his own educational media and consulting company, which was quite successful but was a considerable journey and time drain, so he sold it and retired. He and his wife Cheri moved to Macon, Georgia, to be closer to their son and grandchildren, where they enjoy golf, travel, friends, and family gatherings.

Brian has been writing suspenseful fiction for over 30 years. His passion for horror developed at a young age while watching classic monster movies like Dracula, Frankenstein, The Wolfman, and The Creature from the Black Lagoon. He read comic books, too, but preferred Tales from the Crypt and Swamp Thing. Then he discovered the thrill of seeing deeply terrifying movies at the theater; he discovered horror novels Stephen King's Night Shift and Clive Barker's Books of Blood.
During college, he wrote his first novel, but it took hundreds of rejections and 18 years to publish it, Shadows in the Mist. With each rejection, he maintained his optimism that he would eventually get published. He ended up self-publishing his first book, Shadows, but the success of that book landed him a literary agent and mass market book deal with Berkley-Penguin and foreign rights with a German publisher. After that, he had successful years with other publishers.
Brian writes with a cinematic style. Because of his perfectionism (writing over 100 drafts) and extensive research, some books have taken over two years to write. After years of writing and research, Brian's historical Egyptian archaeology adventure novel Tomb of Gods came out in 2020, and his newest novella, Savage Island, was released in June 2021. His alien-monster short story "Incident on Saddle Road" was released in the anthology Midnight from Beyond the Stars in September 2021. As a novelist and short story writer, Brian continues to follow his passion for entertaining readers with stories that immerse you in a thrilling, terrifying horror experience.
