When cleaning through my Back up's i found this song and video made by two friends and me back in 2007.
We simply gathered in a rehearsing room, jammed along, and decided to record some of the jams.
Basically we aimed to produce a 70's like sound and not only utilized a playing style with that feel, but also tried
to recreate the technical side, like miking and kind of effects. Of course it was recorded digitally, as those who know, analogue equipment is, and was, quite expensive, and for sure none of us had a Studer sitting around in storage ;)
It's a love song about mother nature and that we are nothing without our planet and it's complex structures supporting life.

A Merry Christmas everybody!
As every year i did my rendition of a x mas carol. To have a little practice i try to playand arrange this songs only from the memory.
But as this one is a quite 'heard' one, it was a little easier this year!

Finally i got myself a camera i was thinking about quite a lot. The BlackMagic Design BMPCC 4K.
I haven't received thee Lenses yet, but part of the Camera's Package is Davinci Resolve Studio 17.
So i decided to do an unboxing video to have some material for editing.
Till now i was used to Adobe Premiere. The worklow is totally different with Resolve,
but somehow intuitive when you get used to the idea.
One of my songs is titled Black Magic, so what could make a better choice for this video ;)
Bare with me, as i am usually no 'unboxing' guy, i made some mistakes
(like the camera stand's shadow, not showing the memory card slots).
So here it is, my first edit on Davinci Resolve Studio 17

It took me quite some time before i had an idea on what to do for the video of the song.
Two weeks ago i had the idea of doing a lyrics video. But as i don't wanted just plain text on the screen i decided to put my face beneath. As I don't consider myself much of an actor, i sang and played along the song, the way i just would do it. I think my facial expression did match the feel ;)
I also did close up's on my guitar playing, so you can also see how the parts of the song are played. Putting it that way, it's a tutorialon how to play the song, too;) I first thought of adding Tabs too, but they really did mess a the picture, so i decided not to do that.

A merry Christmas Everyone. This is a short rendition of 'Schneeflöckchen, Weißröckchen', a traditional winter song. Written in 1869 it made it became a standard as Christmas carol in german speaking countries.

Orion descending is the fourth Title from Handpicked By the Night. The song is in a Country Blues style, and inspired from the time when i moved back into my home town.
Even if i wanted to stay just a short time there, and move further on West, i found my love there, married and founded a family. Things sometimes turn out in a different way than you expect 😉

As this is my first upload to 3Speak,
so I thought this short visual introduction of me makes a good fit. I finished the clip yesterday, intended for usage as header video. This explains the weird resolution of 1250 x 450.
