Building an Online Business is a Challenge
Even though it is a challenge, the rewards are pretty awesome. When I worked at Walmart, my schedule was not my own, in fact, many times it would change with no more than a couple of hours’ notice. This really was no way to live.
Let’s take my online business, for example, I make my own hours, set my own appointments, and essentially have a lot more freedom than if I was working a daily job. Plus the reward time ratio is much better.
Don’t Get Me Wrong…
I still have to put my time in and do certain things every day if I want the income to continue to flow. That being said it never hurts to take a couple of days every now and then and take off to Disneyland. Days like that are a lot of fun.

Last week in Part 1, we found a splash page we liked in affiliate tools and started making our own version of it. This is important we can’t all be design pros but we can take a free program like Canva and use the premade un-presonalized splash page or lead capture page as a design guide.
This week we can turn that splash page into a lead capture page for rapid sign-up. This is also useful if you see a lead capture page from your program’s affiliate tools. Currently, I am talking about listnerds but this technique can be used with any affiliate program.
That is my goal in this series, to give out information that anyone can use to promote anything.

Today We Talk About The Main Factor
Traffic is the main factor with out it regardless of how awesome the product or service is no
one will see it because no traffic is being driven to the site. Driving traffic to a site is so difficult
the even site like Walmart and Amazon pay a 3% commission to affiliates.
Traffic is Difficult
If traffic were easy then every one would be doing it and no one would be paying for it. No one
pays you anything for catching a cold and yet it is easy and common.
We are going to look at and redesign in our own image a ListNerds Splash Page. This is so people know it is us, but also so that we are signing them up to out list before ListNerds membership. This applies to anything online.

What Are You An Expert At?
No this is not a loaded question. Think about the things you have always been good, and the things you want to get good at. Now pick 1 thing and become an expert. This sounds easier than it is or maybe it is more simple than we think.
If we are building our online business, using list building and content creation to pull people towards us. What will our offering be? What is that one thing that we can monetize?
Is It Simple?
As simple as PSO, Problem, Solution, and Outcome. If we are just looking for ListNerd tokens earned by verified emails then no problem. If we want to build a business then this PSO formula becomes very important
Problem: What is the main problem of your audience?
Solution: What is the solution that can be offered?
Outcome: What is the result of the solution to your audience.

If You Have Been Using ListNerds…
Whether you are a new member or you have been on ListNerds for months the same is true good emails get upvotes, bad emails get downvotes, and ugly emails can go either way.
This will not make me popular in fact there will be a lot of people that will disagree with me because they have over a decade’s experience using mailers, and their experience has been different.
That is The Problem
ListNerds is not really a Mailer, I mean it does not send emails to anyone. They call them emails but really they are system messages. Thinking of ListNerds and worse treating it like a mailer is like treating a chain saw like hair clippers. That would make a mess.
I’m No Expert
This is just me sharing my experience about how ListNerds when properly used will achieve great results.

I was back a few years ago. It is embarrassing in fact I was so broke I could not pay attention. I know that is a joke but I was so stressed out about how to pay for everything that I was becoming absent-minded and making stupid mistakes.
For Me My Confidence Was Shook
I have always been a worker. When I was a kid I worked at my Uncle’s restaurant and my Father’s service station. As a kid I always had cash in my pocket for whatever came up. Even when I would blow an entire paycheck, about $80 on comic books or Baseball cards or a combination of the two, I was not stressed because more money was coming next Friday.
As an adult I found trying to make ends meet was near impossible, especially with medical bills stacking up and my capacity to work was diminished but I still got a Job at Walmart making $15 to $22 an hour with benefits and overtime…
But Guess What It Was Not Enough
Nowhere near enough not to mention that all of the B.S. that I had to deal with minute to minute, was making me hate opening my eyes in the morning. I was not suicidal just not happy to be alive.
But Then…

This is the situation. You have signed up with some other mailers to build your ListNerds team and boom your Gmail inbox is so crowded with all these ad emails that you can’t find any of the emails that you need to read.
If you own a mailer then you should really teach this to your members as the first or second lesson. If you are a member or thinking of being a member but do not want your inbox completely taken over by these ad emails. Then this is the solution you have been waiting for.
A lot of you probably have your Gmail inboxes set up in this manner but for those of you that do not, this video is for you.
Keep in mind this technique is completely free. It is just a matter of filtering all of the messages to a label and having them skip the inbox.

ListNerds has been a phenomenon since mid-January of this year. Although this is a promotional platform it has taught me a lot about affiliate marketing. I have been studying affiliate marketing and trying to get it to work since 2013.

Team building is a lot more than just having people sign up for ListNerds using your link. Building a team is bringing people into ListNerds and having them be active on the platform. Inactive members on any platform is a bad thing.

We have built our Lead Capture Pages, and written our first email in our autoresponder. Autoresponders are great especially when we treat them like ListNerds. We have to treat the people on our list like people. We went into detail in the last video.
Now that the front end of the funnel is built we need to fill it. A funnel needs to be filled in two ways. First, we must have some pre-written emails in the autoresponder and that number should grow weekly. The second way is we need to constantly increase our subscribers.
InfoGraphics make great giveaways. They do not cost us money to make them and our infographic will separate us from the crowd. You can offer the infographic free to your new subscribers and give them to your current subscribers as well.
Even though I do a weekly 5 Listnerd Tokens giveaway, to 1 member of my list. Three lucky members of my Listnerds Team will receive either $25, $50, or $100 in Hive Tokens. I also need a giveaway for all of my other members. Infographics are great for this.
Today we are having a little review and then I will show you how easy it is to make an infographic in Canva. I have never done this before, but having used Canva before I know they have it preformatted with a template that I can customize.

Did anyone notice we have completely built the front-end of our funnel?
Marketing funnels have been over-complicated for whatever reason. Have you ever bought anything after you signed up for someone’s list?
The majority of sales happen after people get to know you. Google has been after the Marketing community ever since it gained power as the Internet’s Search engine. Not to mention more people use Gmail than any other email service.
Above our funnel is our content or our lead capture page, our list is the funnel that our content and lead capture pages are leading the people into.
Now once they are subscribed and confirmed to your list, they are in your funnel.
This is where we can get our subscribers to know like and trust us.

This is where we make our customed confirmation page. The confirmation page will be one of two things. First, if you have a downloadable incentive this page will need to be the download link. Second, if your incentive is like mine and there is no downloadable prize then we will link this page to ListNerds signup.
We will also be putting our video on our lead capture page. Remember in the previous video when I said that we need to have a video to go with our bullet points. This is because some people will read, and not watch the video, and some will watch the video and not read. To give us the biggest net, we have to cater to both.
If you are a beginning list builder like me, then 1 list is what we want. More than 1 list is a really bad idea unless you have a bunch of seed money and a staff. Everything we do will focus on just one list. This focus will change once we get our first list to at least 5,000 subscribers.
Our goal for today is to get our video lcp setup, up and running. We will also make a graphical confirmation thank you page and get that set up both in our auto responder and lead capture page.
