Burnout is a state of complete mental, physical, and emotional exhaustion.  If you are experiencing burnout, you may notice it is difficult to engage in activities you normally find meaningful.  You may no longer care about the things that are important to you or experience an increasing sense of hopelessness (HealthUK,2022). We all experienced burnouts especially when seasons changed and we start working/studying again, we are unable to keep a routine, workout, eat good food, focus, enjoy or maintain social life. As a result, we become numb and express hopelessness with everything we do or even say. In this episode i shared with you my recent burnout and how it effected me. I hope you will do the same in the comments, if you ever experienced that.Â

In this episode, I speak about my first week working with international students and how speaking more than two languages is amazing and tricky at the same time.I would appreciate it if you share your thoughts and experiences.
In this episode, I answer your questions regarding costs of PhD and living. Also, how to write a good research proposal. Abir Ztn.
Now that you feel prepared to enroll in a Ph.D., here is what you need to know on how to do it.
Every country has different requirements for enrolling. For example, in Algeria, you need to pass a national exam to enroll as a Ph.D. student in any university. However, this limits the chances of admission and does not value your research idea or project.
While in Europe, all you need to do is to write a research proposal that contains an introduction, motivation, research methodology, planning, and bibliography. This allows you to work on your project and send it to various potential supervisors from different universities. Also, you need to select teachers with the same research interests as yours and your proposal.
Writing a research proposal is not easy, and sometimes you will be rejected, but do not give up! As long as you keep reading and writing and applying, the more your chances are higher!

After 8 months of f living here, it’s time I reveal my pros and cons of living in Spain ( this could change in a year !)As a beautiful country, it is like any place that has its ups and downs.Disclaimer: This is based on my own and only experience in a small town in Spain.Pros:Lifestyle: In general, living costs are pretty affordable and Spain can be a good place for students The people are very nice. delicious and variant food. Great Health care system, everyone is covered by the government and it covers everything.Cons:Bureaucracy: Nothing is more frustrating and hectic than trying to prove your legality in Spain. With Spain’s relaxed pace, you might spend hours wandering around your city, paying fees at the bank, and standing in what seems like endless queues before realizing you didn't do things correctly. The language barrier: It is a must and a need to have basic knowledge of the Spanish language, as you cannot get things done without it, especially in small towns.Other Things to consider: in some cities working hours are from 9 am to 2 pm, that means sometimes it is hard to get things done unless you skip work.Overall, these are my Pros and Cons of living in Spain, it can be different from one to another and it depends on your city. However, these are part of my experience here, and I am enjoying every aspect of it.Abir Ztn.
Moving abroad.
Is it worth it leaving everything behind and start over in another country? The answer is YES. It is a scary yet exciting decision to make. It defnitly the best personal and professional development you can go through.
In 2017, I got a chance to do an exchange program (Erasmus) in Porto, Portugal. For six months, and during that time i  got the chance to explore another world, countries, cities, cultures, and people.
And since then, all I thought about  was “ I had to leave Algeria for good”. Six years later, here I am! 8 months  living in LeĂłn, Spain. A Small, cozy, and a nice place. It has its ups and downs ( Yes, it’s not always glorious). However, i am enjoying every second of it.Â
So far, Spain is one of my favorite country, but it has its pros and cons, which i will talk about in the next episode.Â
