Welcome back to Part Two of our conversation with Tanner Morgan! As a former quarterback and ministry leader, he has illustrated what it means to follow God when His plans don't always make sense. Tanner opens up about the faith-filled and difficult decision to step away from a promising coaching career in football, surrendering his future and trusting God in the unknown.
Last week in Part 1, Tanner discussed the importance of understanding what God has saved us from, living as sons and daughters of Christ, and why relational evangelism is so effective. With heartfelt stories—including how an athlete and his father both came to Christ through coaching—Tanner brings encouragement, challenge, and clarity for anyone wanting to live out everyday faith with purpose and conviction.
Our episode today explores how real impact starts with everyday faithfulness. Tanner challenges us to reframe influence as kingdom impact, to seek proximity with the Holy Spirit, and to trust that peace is often the confirmation we need—even when it defies logic. If you're wrestling with purpose, transition, or how to live out your faith in your current season, this episode is just what you’ll need today for some encouragement.

We’re so glad you’re joining us for Part One of our conversation with Savanna Craig! Her husband, Gabe, shared some great stories with us in January, so be sure to check that out if you missed it. Savanna’s blessed to be a stay-at-home mom to two little ones, and is passionate about the relentless pursuit of the face of God.
Today, she shares how God began using her to bring others into the Kingdom even before she fully embraced the mission He had for her. From posting about her desire for God on MySpace to interrupting a tarot card reading to point a friend to Jesus, Savanna’s boldness started early. After a short life-changing internship in her twenties, she returned to an AA group where her faith and love for others reflected Christ’s heart. And as we close out the episode, Savanna shares fantastic insight into how God’s redemption turned past trauma into compassion and confidence to share her faith as she “looks outward rather than inward.”
Next week in Part Two, you’ll hear even more incredible stories of faith conversations that challenged cultural norms – a friend’s radical spiritual transformation, a bold discussion about faith with family, and even a miraculous healing. Savanna also shares how simple, everyday faith impacts little ones, reminding us that it all starts with an intimate, trusting relationship with a trustworthy God.

Welcome back! Today, we’re thrilled to have Abby Fabre—our former podcast co-host—join us for a powerful conversation on Pursuing Community, the final of the Four Pillars of living out our faith. If you missed the episodes on the first three pillars, be sure to go back and listen—we’ve learned so much along the way, and we know you will, too!
In this episode, Abby shares her personal faith and community journey, highlighting why true community is essential to living out our faith. In addition to simply showing up and being present, genuine friendship calls for vulnerability, selflessness, and the willingness to navigate tough conversations with grace.
Abby’s recent experiences with friends beautifully illustrate how pursuing community can transform our lives. When we choose love, forgiveness, and humility in our relationships, we reflect the very heart of Jesus.
So how can you actively pursue community in your own life? Here are a few action steps to get you started: ✅ Get connected with a local church.
✅ Embrace relationship challenges instead of avoiding them.
✅ Stay open to how God might be growing and using you through community.
For more encouragement, check out the Ask About My Faith blog for additional insights and practical ways to strengthen your faith relationships.

Welcome back for the third pillar of living out our everyday faith: Committing to Obedience. We’re joined by Jon Odom, a pastor, mentor, and father of two from Minnesota. In our conversation, Jon breaks down what obedience truly means, the challenges that come with it, and why understanding WHO we are obeying makes all the difference.
If the word obedience makes you a little uncomfortable, you’re not alone! But obedience isn’t just about following rules—it’s about love, trust, and deep relationship with God as we align our hearts with His will. Jon shares a powerful personal story about feeling called into ministry while already years-deep into medical school—a journey that beautifully illustrates both the struggle and the joy of obedience!
Not sure where to start in learning to obey the Lord? We’ll explore how to hear God’s voice through scripture and prayer and how growing closer to Him strengthens our ability to follow His lead. This is such an encouraging conversation, and we’re so glad you’re here as we grow together in this essential discipline that God WANTS to bless!

Come along with us, Dan and Jess, as we sit down with David Benham—husband to Lori, father of five, best-selling author, and nationally acclaimed entrepreneur—to explore what it truly means to embrace our mission and live out everyday faith right where we are.
David and his brother Jason have made a lasting impact in sports, business and faith, shaped by their father’s early teachings on mission. In this episode, David shares pivotal moments from his sports career and reveals how viewing every role in life through the lens of mission transforms the way we work, lead, and serve. Now, he’s using his God-given gifts and the path he’s walked to mentor the next generation of entrepreneurs.
If you’ve ever heard phrases about “living on mission” but wondered what that actually means for you, this conversation will bring the clarity and encouragement you need today. David reminds us that stepping into our mission is simply being faithful right where God has us. He challenges us to “make our current spot sweet through contentment,” as we move toward the “intersection of passion and proficiency.”
Don’t miss this powerful conversation to help you continue growing in the mission God has called you to! Be sure to visit the Expert Ownership to dive deeper into their wisdom and stay tuned for more conversations with David.

We’re so glad you’re back to join us as we explore the FIRST of the four Pillars of Everyday Faith: Start with Belief. In 2011, Dean and his wife Cassie started Awakening Hope Ministries with the goal of reaching the lost and encouraging and equipping believers. He’s a fantastic friend, an incredibly gifted teacher and speaker, and God is doing amazing things through their ministry as they love others through healing, deliverance, prophesy and encouragement, both locally and around the world.
In this conversation about belief, Dean shares insight into what true belief really means. He explains that belief is more than just knowledge—it’s about fully surrendering to Jesus, much like a marriage covenant. He also reminds us that faith isn’t about how much we have; even the smallest amount, when placed in God’s power rather than our own, can move mountains.
Beyond his powerful teaching, Dean shares two incredible miracle stories—one that happened instantly and another that unfolded through persistent prayer. Both serve as encouraging reminders that our belief grows as we walk in obedience, trust, and persistence. This episode highlights the importance of truly knowing the God we believe in—because it’s the foundation for living out our everyday faith.
Visit the Awakening Hope Ministries website or YouTube Channel to check out their fantastic online content, locations for upcoming events, or learn more about how you can engage with this incredible ministry that’s changing lives around the world.

We want to officially WELCOME you to the Everyday Faith Podcast – it’s Season Three as we build off of the foundation Jess & Abby laid with the first two seasons on the Ask About My Faith Podcast.
And today, we – Jess and Dan, the new voices you’ll be hearing each week – are excited to share with you about who we are, where we’ve been, and where we’re going on the podcast. If you tuned in earlier this year or at the end of 2024, you may have heard a bit about the name change and about the host line-up change; and today, we want to let you in even more!
We can’t wait to grow and learn alongside you about what it looks like to live out our everyday faith. As we explored this topic, one question continued to rise to the forefront: HOW do we live out our everyday faith? And that’s where we came up with the Four Pillars of Everyday Faith:
In the next four weeks, we’ll dive into each of these areas as guests share wisdom, stories and laughs – and we hope you’ll join us, too, as we grow together & find inspiration to live out our faith at work, with family, and in the everyday rhythms of life.

We couldn’t get enough of our conversation with Gabe Craig, so join us for today’s bonus episode! If you missed the first two parts, be sure to check them out—his testimony and faith-filled journey are truly inspiring.
Today, Gabe shares two more powerful stories from his travels, worshipping, praying, and serving communities. In Skid Row, a young man’s encounter with God brought deep peace amidst chaos, an example of how spiritual battles can play out in the physical world.
Then, in Canada, Gabe felt led to connect with a group of men. As testimonies of transformation were shared, their energy was ignited. A rainbow filled the sky, and this sign of hope marked the start of yet another awe-inspiring moment of a life revived.
As you head into your week, let these stories encourage you to follow the Holy Spirit’s nudges—trusting that God can use any moment for His glory.

Welcome back to Part Two of our conversation with Jonathan Weibel, author of Front Yard Mission and host of the Front Yard Mission Podcast. His passion for Jesus was ignited in college and he’s continued to push the pace for the Kingdom as a church-planter, musician, and comedian ever since.
In Part One, Jonathan shares about how a neighbor with provoking faith and an inspiring book launched him into his faith journey. He used his platform as an athlete and musician in a rock band to share his testimony early on and continued to use common interests, or ‘affinities,’ to connect with others and share the love of Jesus. Through these stories and a couple others involving a car accident and a social experiment, you’ll be encouraged to lean into who God created you to be and embrace the ministry of ‘being with.’
In Part Two, we share more laughs and dive deeper into what it looks like to minister to those in the mission field that’s already around you, whether that’s in your local community or a common interest (‘affinity’) community. From hosting an Alpha course and pizza parties for the neighborhood to welcoming a neighbor to live in their home, Jonathan and his wife Suzy live out the three rhythms that anchor Front Yard Mission – Pray First, Love All, and Invite Often.

In today's special Everyday Faith Podcast episode, Pamela Pyle is BACK! She shares a quick recap of how she came to know the Lord and how her profession informs her view of everyone: We're all suffering in some way -- kind of like patients -- in need of a touch from the Holy Spirit.
If you haven't heard Pamela's first two episodes with us on the podcast, be sure to go back and give them a listen. Her story is incredible and so is her husband - Scott Pyle's story!
Today, you'll hear about how a conversation between a patient and their family member before a risky surgery was a testimony to all the medical staff in the room. And in another story, we begin to understand the importance of praying and speaking faith over loved ones, even if they are unconscious!
And finally, when logic and reason have stood in the way of someone putting their hope and trust in Jesus, hope is not lost. Pamela shares about how one man's fate was changed entirely when he realized through Pascal's Wager that there was no reason NOT to put his hope in Jesus in those final days.
Pamela's stories remind us that if you're not sure where someone is in their faith, that's OK -- simply be present and listen.
Dr. Pamela Pyle's NEW BOOK Anticipating Heaven is now available! Whether you are navigating a serious illness, supporting a loved one walking through a health crisis, or simply want to have an idea of where to start should your journey take a turn like this, you've got to pick up this 5-start read. Anticipating Heaven pulls wisdom from those who have walked this challenging road onto paper to provide both practical and spiritual insights.

Welcome back to the Everyday Faith Podcast! Last week, Gabe Craig shared so many inspiring stories in Part 1, and today’s continuation will leave you encouraged and ready to see God move in unexpected ways.
Do you ever feel nervous about sharing your faith or inviting friends and family to church? For many of us, it's one of the hardest things to do. But in today’s episode, Gabe shows us what’s possible when we choose to lean in and plant seeds. He’ll share how he nurtured a relationship for years, even when it might have seemed easier to let it drift. And only God could bring the transformation they saw—a powerful story of baptism, a life-changing encounter with Jesus through a dream, and a family's hope restored.
Gabe also dives into how he lives expectantly each day, believing that God wants to enjoy life with us. That belief and a simple prompt from the Lord led him to an unforgettable fishing trip in Alaska. Several moments along the way might have seemed irrational to others, but Gabe’s willingness to step out in faith unlocked something truly amazing each time. This story reminds us how stepping out in faith with God can not only lead to incredible experiences, but it can be downright FUN—because that’s just like God!
Toward the end of the episode, Abby mentions some powerful resources for deepening your faith walk:
– Practicing the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence
– Knowledge of the Holy by A.W. Tozer
As you listen, consider: How might my week change if I approached each day with the expectation that God wants to enjoy life with me? Let this episode inspire you to share your faith with joy, and watch as God shows up in ways you never imagined. Join us online - facebook.com/askaboutmyfaith

What if God wants to use a piece of your story to touch someone else’s life? In this week’s episode of the Everyday Faith Podcast, we sit down with Gabe Craig, a seasoned videographer and photographer who’s worked with various ministries, including Promise Keepers. Gabe shares his incredible journey from a thrill-seeking lifestyle to a radical transformation that’s now centered on living fully for the Kingdom of God.
Gabe’s stories reveal how God has used his life and experiences to connect with others in powerful ways. He shares about a coffee shop moment where a word of knowledge led to a healing, an encouraging late-night encounter with a stranger, and how his tattoos have become conversation starters that change atmospheres. Gabe also talks about using his testimony to reach people in some of life’s toughest situations.
Whether you're a new believer or someone looking to grow deeper in your faith, Gabe’s story is a reminder that God is using everyday encounters to bring healing and hope — and a piece of your own story might just be the perfect starting point for the next person.

We hope it reminds you that you can hold conversations without confrontation and disagree without disrespect. we’re called to love our neighbors, especially those with whom we differ—just as Jesus would. We hope these words inspire you to seek understanding and love in every exchange. 🇺🇸🙏
LYRICS:
we, human beings
are wired for peace –
hunger for utopia still stirring in us all.
Eden the representation of the perfect place
where all was well, all the time, and to this day –
we strive to calculate
which leader, which candidate, which one can take the taint
from the earth
and restore her back
to her original shine
every four years we garner our decision,
yet as we strive for calm,
strife enters our discussions –
fear too,
(that obstinate liar)
convincing even the kindest of people
that evil is their neighbor.
but for those who follow the Way,
they strive unto a different Kingdom
where government is heralded with love and faithfulness,
and each decision is laced with justice and righteousness,
eternity at the forefront of every decree.
so with urgency,
the people of God
bring supplications, intercessions,
prayers and petitions
to the throne of grace
that hears all
from every race,
every people,
every tongue,
and every nation.
these people are different,
convicted that Shalom is not won at the ballot box
or taught through legislation,
but rather through the people of God,
alive and active,
at every waking second
devout in their destiny
to bring restoration to the earth.
voting is one thing,
living the Way is another :
remember your neighbor
remember to pray
remember to carry yourself God’s way.

After fleeing persecution in Iran, Armin found success in criminal life but constantly asked, “How did I get here?” He shares his emotional journey from a life of violence to an encounter with Christ that changed everything.
Armin talks candidly about his struggles, including suicidal thoughts, and how God's grace found him in a mental health facility where he was wrestling with God and sharing poetry. His altar call moment, where he wept and surrendered his life, marked a turning point. He explains how experiencing God's grace—especially in court when he was found guilty but shown mercy—compelled him to boldly share his faith.
Armin emphasizes the courage it takes to talk about faith in today’s culture, encouraging listeners to normalize faith conversations without filtering out such a significant part of life. From ministering to a Vietnam vet at a gas station to staying unoffendable with co-workers, Armin’s story is a testament to the power of stepping out in faith and letting God work through everyday moments.
