Daniil Medvedev is practically unstoppable in 2022! He wins a 4th title in 5 consecutive finals, a 19th overall, and now leads the race to Turin, all with a straight sets win over Jannik Sinner, who looked fatigued after his incredible semifinal.

Petra Kvitová pulls off the feel-good story of the tournament, winning a 30th career title, a maiden Miami Open title, and a first WTA 1000 in 5 years! To boot, Petra will be back into the world's top 10. All with a straight sets victory over Elena Rybakina, who was aiming for the sunshine double.

Jannik Sinner topples Carlos Alcaraz in 3 brilliant sets, and wins quite possibly one of the best points we've ever seen played. Medvedev will join Sinner in the final, in his 5th consecutive final. Petra Kvitová comes from 2-5 down to win in straight sets over Sorana Cîrstea, where she'll face Rybakina in a maiden Miami final.

Our semifinals are set, and one finalist is already decided - Elena Rybakina, who still has the Sunshine Double in her sights, along with Carlos Alcaraz who dispatches Taylor Fritz and still hasn't dropped a set. Kvitová roars her way to a first Miami SF in 3 sets, Medvedev puts an end to Eubanks' dream run, and Khachanov rounds off the semifinals.

The rain significantly delayed play today, but that didn't stop there being some pretty damn good performances, not least from Jannik Sinner, who was sensational against Rublev. Alcaraz continues on with his straight sets wins, and Khachanov gets a first top 10 win since 2019. Rybakina opens a bakery, and Pegula fights back from the brink.

The match of the tournament so far I think has to be Sakkari vs Andreescu, with the Canadian prevailing in 2 sets. A tough road on the surgery comeback for Jabeur who is knocked out by Gracheva. Alcaraz, the defending champ, has a very easy opening match.

Day 3 of Miami sees Rybakina and Badosa tough it out in 3 sets to make the 3rd round, whilst Gauff and JPeg cruise through. Thiem suffers another loss, this time at the hands of Sonego, whilst Haddad Maia and Martincová produce the most lopsided score of the day.

Day 2 in Miami sees the men's draw get underway. It was a tough day for many though, with 4 mid-match retirements. Muchová crushes Teichmann in her opening round after qualifying for the main draw. No luck for the Brits, with Raducanu, Murray and Edmund all out in round 1.

Day 6 of Indian Wells sees a lot of great 3 set matches, including Kvitová and Auger-Aliassime saving multiple match points to win. Medvedev really really doesn't like the courts (but wins anyway), whilst Draper retires with injury. Iga is all business against Emma, whilst Saba battles past Barbora in 3.

Day 6 of Indian Wells and with wins for Iga and Emma, we're getting a dream match-up in just the R16! Jabeur and Murray are both knocked out, whilst the beef between Rune and Wawrinka continues... Also we look at those comments made by WTA CEO Steve Simon to Ukrainian player Lesia Tsurenko, who had to withdraw from the tournament with a panic attack as a result.

Day 2 of Indian Wells and all first round matches are complete. Andy Murray does it yet again, winning his longest ever match at Indian Wells to go undefeated in deciding sets this year.

Young Brits Raducanu and Draper made winning returns after being out with illness/injury, whilst Muchová comes through a tough 3 setter against a frosty Putintseva. Kenin wins the battle of the slam champs, ousting Stephens.

Daniil Medvedev has won a 3rd title in 3 weeks, defeating fellow Russian Andrey Rublev in the Dubai final, and also showing why we love this friendship so much. He addresses the comments made by Tsitsipas about Rublev, and says that Andrey is one of the most skilled players on the tour.

In Acapulco, Alex de Minaur wins the biggest title of his career, defeating Tommy Paul in the final.

Finals are set in Santiago (Jarry vs Etcheverry), Austin (Kostyuk vs Gracheva) and Monterrey (Vekić vs Garcia).

A couple of upsets today as Lorenzo Sonego takes out Auger-Aliassime in Dubai, whilst Taro Daniel beats Casper Ruud in Acapulco.

Andrey Rublev saved no less than 5 match points to come back and defeat Davidovich Fokina in Dubai where he is defending his title.

Peyton Stearns gets another win in Austin and is through to the quarterfinals, having never won a WTA mai draw match prior to this tournament!

Day 2 of action and the story of the day is Matija Pecotić, a full-time finance worker who has won his first ever ATP main draw match at the first time of asking.

The semifinals in Lyon and Hua Hin brought joy for now first time finalists Zhu Lin and Alycia Parks, as well as for the home crowd with Caroline Garcia. The final day of the Australian Open, and it's the women's doubles and men's singles finals.

The men's final was nowhere near the level of yesterday's women's final if we're honest... nevertheless, it's a 10th AO title for Novak Djoković (and 22nd grand slam title, equalling Rafa Nadal), as he defeats Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets, 63, 7-6(4), 7-6(5).

Women's finals day at the Australian Open, and we have a brand new grand slam champion crowned!

Aryna Sabalenka wins a maiden major title, with a thrilling, ball-bashing 3 set final against Elena Rybakina. One of the matches of the tournament, and the greatest women's slam final we've seen in a while... 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. Huge congrats to both women. Women's tennis is bloody brilliant isn't it?

Day 9 of the Aus Open sees the first of the quarterfinals... and all matches were decided in straight sets (and a retirement).

Rybakina, my now pick for the final, defeats Ostapenko, whilst Khachanov is through after Korda retires due to injury 2 sets down. An inspired Azarenka is back into the AO semifinal, with a win over a Pegula that didn't really show up. Tsitsipas makes a 4th AO semifinal (out of 6 AOs played!) defeating Lehečka.

Day 5 of the Aus Open and there's plenty of action to dig into.

Last year's finalist Daniil Medvedev is stunned in straight sets by Seb Korda, whilst Jannik Sinner comes back from 2 sets down for the first time in his career. Iga and Pegula cruise through to the 4th round, whilst some marathon men's matches see Lehečka, Hurkacz and Khachanov prevail. Wimbledon champ Rybakina knocks out 2023 finalist Collins.

And the Netflix curse strikes again - Maria Sakkari falls to Zhu Lin in 3 sets, leaving Auger-Aliassime the last man standing.

Rafa Nadal also confirms an iliopsoas muscle tear in his left leg, which will leave him out of the game for 6-8 weeks while he recovers.

Aus Open Day 4, and we see some big upsets in both draws, with Casper Ruud, Ons Jabeur and Taylor Fritz all losing in the second round - the Netflix gang keep falling by the wayside...

Other seeds out are Kontaveit, Kudermetova, Samsonova, Carreño Busta, Schwartzman, Zverev and Davidovich Fokina.

But the big story is Andy Murray, who came from 2 sets to 0 and a break down to defeat Thanasi Kokkinakis in 5 hours, 45 mins, past 4am local time. With a metal hip. What a man.

On the men's side, the bottom quarter of the draw has been blown pretty wide open, whilst on the women's side, Sabalenka looks fearsome and I think she'll take some stopping.
