Yes. Even saved folk mess up & sin really bad. James addresses this. James gives us a very clear mirror to inspect ourselves so we can make every effort to decipher what’s going on in our thought-life, or spiritual life.
Learning the progression of our flesh is important, and James teaches it perfectly in this chapter.
I cannot remove the foundational knowledge of this chapter that the tongue requires US ALL to be diligent in surrendering it to the Holy Ghost.
But, I discovered there’s a “checklist” in this chapter which can help us decipher if an influencer should be speaking into our lives.

Exodus 12THIS INSIGHT IS STRAIGHT FIRE!!!I had previously known many symbolisms of Passover and how they foretell of Christ & us… But, I did not know the significance of the doorposts & lintel until today’s study.
Exodus 7-12: God targeted specific Egyptian gods in the plagues. We learn about those, and also which of the plagues the Israelites ALSO experienced.We end by seeing Moses’ growth in spiritual authority and how we too grow in spiritual authority.
Exodus 5-7; GOD IS FAITHFUL TO COMPLETE HIS PURPOSE IN YOU!!! You just have to stay faithful to the plan.

We’ve got a little soul inspiration, and a little debunking of falsehoods in this one.Opponents of the Bible claim Exodus is nonsense because “slaves didn’t build the pyramids” and because there is no archeological record of a mass exodus during the reign of Ramses.And all of those points are accurate. A lot of these false ideas come from movies. The pyramids were built a couple thousand years BEFORE Ramses existed. And Ramses was born 1000 years AFTER the Exodus.

Going through the challenges of immigration Was part of that price. Jesus truly understands us all. The villain in the story of the nativity is a cautionary tale; secular history bares record of him murdering his family and random citizens of his country but wants to ignore those instances, further insinuating he didn’t kill all the babies two years old and younger, determinedly they call him “The Great,” because he was a great architect. He was a tormented man that we should study and learn from.

The Christmas story starts before Luke 1. It starts before Genesis 1:1. Christ, the lamb slain from the foundation of the world, has to be a part of the Christmas story. And once we recognize who Jesus is, we can talk about Mary, and how Mary’s experience is very much like our own.

Being busy, even with good things, is still busy, and we all need to unplug and recover. In this episode, we see the many miracles of Jesus, from delivering people from evil spirits to healing fevers.
Jesus came to heal you to the point of empowering YOU to heal others. We see in Luke chapter four how God wants to heal you and how you can heal others.
When a kinsman of The Great Herod (who’d tried to kill Jesus at his birth) and of Herod Antipas (who killed John the Baptist, & eventually Jesus) came to Jesus for his son’s healing, Jesus demonstrated how to handle enemies; with wisdom & love. NOTE: Capernaum is in Galilee, not Judea.
In John chapter 4, we find that the disciples had things to learn at the well, just as the Samaritan woman did. We look at the lessons at the well and how to apply them in our modern Christianity.
Christians should examine how Jesus went about winning souls. Jesus came to seek and save the lost, and we can see his technique in the story of the Woman At the Well.
Religious people (especially Christians) often cannot and do not experience hope, joy, the miraculous, and ALL OF THE THINGS like and of Christ. Nicodemus came to Christ in John chapter three. Jesus explained to him, a religious leader, why and how he was not experiencing the supernatural things of God even though he was faithfully practicing his religion. Denee also tells of her experience living life religiously versus supernaturally.
As Christians, we are meant to be mimicking our Savior. We have vague ideas of what that looks like based on our background, upbringing, & imaginations. But learning how Christ behaved by reading the gospels is how we learn to be like Jesus.
The Miracle of Jesus, and the Meander of Denee; Denee gets transparent about her thoughts on weddings, wine, and parenting as she reads through John chapter two, examining the first miracle of Jesus.
See how these men became students of Christ, each with diverse backgrounds and careers. Some were brought to Jesus; others were sent to him. Others came with the crowds but didn’t leave with the crowds. Each disciple was equally crucial to the establishment of the Church.

Coming away from the noise of life is important to fulfilling your purpose in Christ. In those lonely places we may be tempted, but those temptations reveal to us the truth of our inner man. When you come.out of the wilderness you'll be stronger, and ready for your next season of purpose.
Jesus, the Christ, demonstrated how to fulfill righteousness, a baptism of repentance. (Matthew 3:15) Our English word, “repentance,“ comes from a Greek word that means “a change of mind, of a purpose he has formed or of some thing he has done.“ as followers of Christ, we continually need to take on the mind of Christ, and to do so we need a daily baptism of repentance. NOTE: This episode has more popping in the mic than usual as it has been through a download, a conversion from vid to audio, an upload, a “de-esser” to try to eliminate some popping, another download & upload. I can't overstate the importance of sowing the seed of the Word of God everywhere, all day. Once you realize the power in each seed, the blessing that harvest can be to your life (not to mention the impact of goodness on THEIR life for generations) you won't be able to stop yourself from sowing liberally. Sow! Sow! Sow!
Apostle Paul said, “I speak with tongues more than ye all.” (1 Corinthians 14:18) Why? One reason is because we build our faith by praying in the Holy Ghost. After the shipwrecks, beatings, etc, Paul certainly needed his faith built by the Holy Spirit! And you and I do too! Let this podcast encourage you to pray in tongues.
Pastoral authority is spiritual fatherhood. Paul gives us insight into what that looks like: as a son with the father, he hath served with me. (Philippians 2:22)
When you can’t see how white and ready the harvest is… If you’ve reached the limit on what you can believe God for… If you need to increase the work of your hands and broaden who you are… You need to be born again, AGAIN.
The longer we live for God… The older we get… we’re not suppose to allow ourselves to be MORE comfortable with mistakes and shortcomings.

James 1:26-27 (KJV) If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion [is] vain. 27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, [and] to keep himself unspotted from the world.
We all want to be happy. And God wants us to experience happiness. The Creator of us knows the ins and outs of HOW we find happiness. This is a very brief insight from our “operating manual.”

Contentment is a LEARNED art. Contentedness puts you in a place of power where neither Satan, nor your flesh, nor life’s circumstances dictate your choices.
Testing? Testing? I need to see if this is going to be my best option for recording & sharing devotionals. I decided to use this giggly dream story for a test.
